The English Kitty Ninja
Several hours later after arriving at the mercenary house, Shadow-claw was bored. Already going through one container of the tree sap that he collected earlier, he stood up, rage starting to build up. “Gah… This is useless! I won’t be able to find s contractor at this rate! I’m going for a walk. I’ll need a communication device so that I can contact you to inform you that I’ve been hired or not…” he roared out loud, aimed the last sentence at the man at the desk. The man nodded his head, and gave him a long-ranged walkie-talkie.

Walking out of the building, the Silencer glared at the peasants that was looking at him, and headed towards the docks. During his journey, he received stares from other people, but he shrugged them off. He had also gathered supplies to bring back to his ship, ready to dock the main vessel that he could go on, if the person hiring him had one. He had bought rations that could make an Oris twitch its mandibles. A large bit of a tapir-like creature was the most expensive thing that he bought, nearly spending all of his cash from his last contract.

He was about to leave the docks when he saw a group of military men kill a guy who wore a pair of goggles. Realizing that this was a crime in place, Shadow-claw activated the micro-organisms, and disappeared into thin air. He crept closer to the two military men, and was talking about the crime.
“Oh man… I hop that Captain Emerson knows what he is doing. Killing someone in this space station can be punishable by death. What should we do?”
“Talk with the captain, and ask him what he wants to do with the body.”
The Silencer watched as the men disappeared, one of them carrying the body. He followed them, hopefully, leading them to this Captain Emerson.

Half an hour later, they arrive at the massive ship. The soldier who carried the body went inside, looking around so that he wasn’t caught by any officer. However, Shadow-claw followed the other to a man of high importance, and heard the conversation.
“What should we do about the body, sir?”
"This is a slum, trooper. What else? Eject him into space."

As soon as the trooper left the officer, Shadow-claw knew that it was time to talk with him. He de-activated the micro-organisms, and materialized out of mid-air. “That was a nasty way for one man to die, officer.” He walked towards him, the glowing red eyes glared down at the human. “I presume that you are Captain Emerson that the soldiers were talking about, after they killed the man. I guess you know the punishment for killing a man is, since you are a person willing to take risks like that.”

((Mine is of the smallest type ("SX") Xeians commonly use, but not the smallest of the type. Mine lengths 22 meters, no wings.))

The Xeian took a few hesitant steps away from the ship, but then stopped and turned back to face the thing. After standing there for a moment, she gave the ship a sharp command, which resulted the thing to raise five meters higher and turn itself so its front part was pointed in the same direction Zet'kil was in. That is better. It can just as well simply follow me, while I am on this planet.

The actual reason why she was so reluctant to leave the ship was that it was also the last link she had with her home world. She doubted that there was a place on Xeian planet from where all other Xeians were more than a mile away, the places which were possible to live on were all taken and the network of buildings stood there. And Starships... These were built for many Xeians to live on. She didn't remember a moment completely without either other Xeians or at least the familiar technology surrounding her.
The fact that her ship was floating a few hundred meters behind, following her continuously, was somewhat reassuring. (No to mention she could give it whatever command and the SX-F6A would be just there to do what was asked.)

She should, according to the plan, try to make a contact with the representatives of the other races around her. Still, it didn't help her with deciding to who should she talk to, or even what should she talk about. That was just too confusing.

The two races, one of them consisting of several species, were very different in many ways, from each other and Xeians.
Both of them differed from Xeians by the chemicals their bodies consisted of. That couldn't be helped, and, in most cases, she doubted it will be important.
Both races seemed relatively intelligent, even when humans seemed to have developed further on that half, along with their use of higher technology- Insectoids used nearly none, which made them very different from Xeians, whose technology was their strongest part. Even humans were far behind them in this.

Practically, the only thing insectoids had what made them closer to Xeians than humans were, was that there were indeed a few small similarities in their appearance and general build. Both had exoskeleton, for example. But that was not a big thing, she guessed. Not appearance was that what mattered most, but the way of thinking, now wasn't it?
Not to mention that Xeians stood straight on two legs, which insectoids, except for the Minds who could take humanlike shape, didn't do.

She stated to feel a little uncomfortable under the many glances people around her gave her and her ship. She should ignore it, since the effect would be the same if one like any of those here would suddenly appear on their streets.
(Technically, Xeians don't have many streets. They usually call very large corridors and tunnels on their planets and in their spaceships also streets.)

She, trying hard not to quicken her pace, finally moved closer to a random building she had seen some humans enter. Giving a single look on the group of both humans and insectoids in front of the door, she entered.
There appeared to be several others, standing in a line. Interesting... She stood near a wall, at first simply watching what they were doing, with obvious curiosity, what could be seen from her posture rather than the hard, metallic face, which was always nearly motionless aside from the yaws.

As she looked over the vessel, she was disgusted. There was almost nothing worth taking, except perhaps the starjump-drive. A quick scan of his computer revealed much. The jump-drive appeared disabled, but the unit itself was functional. Just the impulse booster was damaged. Her dark eyes twinkled with thoughts of profit. It might take the better part of the day to get it disassembled, but it would be well worth it. After looking over the schematics, she set to work. Her hands morphing into whatever tool was required to remove the nuts and bolts that held it in place. Several hours later she was easing the drive into her own ships cargo hold. Now to find the local space port.

Well, at least the station was obvious and easy to find. She brought her ship to a hover on it's outer edge. Her scanners identified the inhabitants filtering through the entrance as both insectoid and humanoid. They also confirmed a low level of technology. This could be very profitable. Opening her communications array, she monitored the transmissions. After the few minutes it took for her translator to adapt to their language, she opened a comm channel. "Gendon Delta 7 spaceport, this is Lya D'Vahl of the Alteran Consortium, starship 'Profiteer', freighter class interceptor. May I have permission to dock?" There was a buzz and slight shock as she adjusted the frequency.

"Profiteer, permission to land in red sector, docking berth thirty two. Your species is unidentified. Prepare for inspection before exiting your craft. All items deemed contraband by the port authority will be ceased. Failure to comply will result in seizure of your vessel."

"What the hell? Crank it out your space shaft! I'll blow you to Deveron, before I let you touch my cargo." She turned the Profiteer to flee, when they had the nerve to shoot at her. This was not a good first impression. "Oh, frag it all." Flinging up her shields she streaked away from the station. It wasn't like they could cause her damage. But really, all she wanted to do was leave. They didn't have to shoot at her. Stupid humanoids. If they were all like this, it wasn't likely she would be selling her goods here. Too bad for them, from the looks of their ion cannons, they could have used a Plasma upgrade. As she shot out of the atmosphere she cloaked her ship and settled into a low orbit. If she couldn't do business planetside, maybe she could flag some passing ships.

Her particles were violently bouncing off the control room walls in agitation. The excited high was nice but she really would have preferred a nice, "You have cargo? We're glad to see you." But no, they had to fragging shoot at her. Just for fun she targeted the space port, zeroing in on the control station. Oh, but it was tempting to punch a little hole in the building.

While Melai patiently waited for the nervous-looking guy to complete whatever business he had at the spaceport main office, he faintly noticed a new character entering the room, at first glance identifying it as an insectoid, and since, while Melai had nothing against other sentient species, insectoids were mostly hostile against humans because of the human's presecution of their species and tended to either flee when Melai approached them or act aggresively... most of the time it was the latter, and the times that Melai had undeservingly been jumped by Buzzers, and on a few occasions arachids and Panzeri as well were too many for him to risk approaching this specimen now, especially with the Imperial soldiers looking for him. However, there seemed to be something different about the new arrival that made Melai shoot it a second look, and he came to the conclusion that if this was an insectoid, it was of a kind he had never seen before. It stood on two legs, for one thing, and while it had some properties in common with the Buzzers, this one was larger than any Buzzer he had ever seen, had only two hind legs, no wings, and its skin seemed almost metallic. While Melai tried to avoid running into trouble most of the time, this being peaked his curiosity.

Stepping out of the line, Melai went over to the odd creature, walking slowly and cautiously, ready to turn and move away if the bug-like being acted aggitatedly. Also, his left hand sought to his holster, ready to draw the revolver if necessary, while his right hand clenched and unclenched itself repeatedly, frightened that it would maybe become necessary to be even more wanted by the Imperial troops. There were things worse than theft, betrayal and murder, after all... and Melai was guilty of a lot of those things. Including the worst crime of all, according to the Empire.
"Hey shiny-thingy," Melai said carefully to catch the being's attention, "Hello. I'm Melai Ketrom, captain of the good ship Rey de los Muerte." Although the 'good'-part is a little off at the moment, he thought to himself. "I couldn't help but to notice that I've never quite seen anything like you... who are you, if I may ask?"

"Hey shiny-thingy,"
Zet'kil's attention was suddenly drawn from the ship's control- The thing had just announced her of the ship's scanners detecting some distant shooting activity. But since it was far away and not directed at her, it shouldn't be anything what she should be concerned about. She turned her attention on the human who had spoken to her voluntarily instead.

"Hello. I'm Melai Ketrom, captain of the good ship Rey de los Muerte."
"Hello?" She responded a little hesitantly, pronouncing the simple word almost as 'helk-lo'
Hopefully I will get better at speaking their language in time...

"I couldn't help but to notice that I've never quite seen anything like you... who are you, if I may ask?"
At least for that question she knew an answer. So she might not be doing that bad, even when the human seemed nervous for some kind of reason.
"My full name is Zet'kil-EX-Sket'la'naq'kna'te... Can be called Zet'kil. I am of the Xeian race, which only rarely comes to this faraway galaxy, so there isn't anything strange in the fact that you have not yet seen one like I am." After thinking for a moment, she added: "I am the pilot of the SX-F6A near the entrance of this building." The human had mentioned having got a some kind of spaceship, so why shouldn't she do the same?

"No action must be taken." She finally half-snapped at the control which ws still waiting for her to react. Confirmed. Previous command in operation. the thing answered.
Giving a quick look at the human she thought that a short explanation was needed, since the human had no means of understanding her language.
"My ship's long-distance control." She said, raising her lover left arm a little higher for him to clearly see the bracelet-like thing.

Blinking a couple of times in confusion, Melai's expression suddenly broke into a wide grin. "I have no idea what you're talking about," he admitted openly, straightening up and removing his left hand from his gun, since this creature appeared not to be insectoid or otherwise hostile after all, "But I did get the part about you being an alien. So there is other life out there, after all! That'll certainly be a major pain in the Empire's ass when they realize that there's more competition to world domination than they first assumed."

Hearing the sound of space-engines outside, Melai decided that he really did not have time to stand in line. "Look, to tell the truth I seem to have crashlanded on this planet after a small... accident of sorts. To make a long story short, there are some people after me here, and I would like to fix my ship as soon as possible. Is there any chance that you could lend a hand with that, mister alien?"

"Other life than yours? That of human's and what Insectoids? There sure are many other "aliens" moving around even in this galaxy, besides me." The Xeian seemed surprised. "I don't know what exactly do you mean when you're talking about the "Empire", but I assume it is supposed to be something similar to the Xeian Galactical Union- which actually consists of several galaxies now. But I might as well be mistaken."

World domination... Did that mean ruling the universe with force? Well... They really shouldn't let them spread out of that one galaxy, since that would let them grow in numbers... Maybe even reach the size of the Union one day. No, that would never happen. Not when they are so far behind Xeians.

They could simply blow up their planets and that would mean a certain end to them all. They wouldn't survive long without their planets- they only lived on a few of them anyway. The Xeian race didn't technically even need those they lived on with their gigantic Starships, which were homes for many millions each. That was just another small thing they must keep their eyes on, nothing more. How possible was that after all, that humans will ever start a war with Xeians?

"Look, to tell the truth I seem to have crashlanded on this planet after a small... accident of sorts. To make a long story short, there are some people after me here, and I would like to fix my ship as soon as possible. Is there any chance that you could lend a hand with that, mister alien?"
"I think I could lend you all four, since I haven't got any certain tasks here. Just tell me what exactly you wish me to do and I try to do it if I can.
I also think that we could use my ship to get there... It is faster and there aren't exactly may ways of finding out what a ship carries by simply looking at it."
Some people were after him... Did humans fight with other humans or did he mean the insectoids? If they did, then that was also something different from the Xeians. Unheard of, to be exact.

((SX-F6A looks like THAT. ))

"What in the seven hells 's THAT?"

Never known for her tact, Harpalyce pointed at Zet'kil. If it were possible, the droid would have sighed and rolled its eyes, but instead it merely displayed the message: Unknown. Would require sample for DNA analysis to cross reference with additional database bank for an additional 37.75 charge. Harpalyce gave a snort and ran a hand through her short hair. The droid clicked and chirred to itself as it continued processing, displaying a steady readout totalling up the charges that would be incurred as she undocked from the base.

Coughing nervously, she took a step forward over to the other two, running her tongue over her teeth. "If yer, ah... lookin' for a ship, I'm for hire. Th' Lady Be Good's not very big, but it can pro'lly get you where you need to go." She glanced down half a second at the display, grimacing nervously. "Or, at least, I know some people who know some people who could help ya get some parts, iff'n the salvage doesn't work out well."

She looked mostly to Melai as she said this, or at least tried to - her gaze kept drifting back to Zet'kil with a mixture of curiosity and fear, the odd expression of someone who has seen something so terribly new and novel they don't know what to make of it. It was obvious from her expression that she was so unnerved by Zet'kil, she had almost completely ignored what the alien had said.

Theyr moved unseen across the high roofs, heading towards the spaceport with a painstakingly inculcated attitude. In spite of the hours she had spent practicing the loud thunder of not too distant shooting nearly forced her to an inelegant and fatal landing on a roamers head. Only with a big portion of luck she managed to grab a flagstaff and to pull herself up the roof again. Cowering again on the safe flat root, she was able to recover her breath.

She knew the clattering staccato of space weapons far too well. Did this shooting mean that the armistice had been broken? If yes, by whom? Her race or the human brood? Well, it didn’t really matter too her. As long as this stupid treaty was finally banned. It would far easier for her to usurp a crosser once the two races were busy killing each other. She smirked silently and continued her path across the roof tops. It would be easy to reestablish her good reputation once the insectoids could finally see how despicable the soft-skinned human breed was in reality. The only thing she had to was the same as she had done before – kill a few human bastards.

She reached the spaceport a few minutes later, just in time to watch one human bastard killing another. This was a spectacle more of her fancy. So the human brood even started to do the work for them? What a friendly gesture… She had to overcome the temptation to leave her hiding place far above the streets and to thank the killer. The imagination of the face he would pull made her giggle too quietly for anyone to hear.
Some seconds later, however, she noticed a Silencer appearing right behind the human. He appeared to be even taller than he was behind the relatively small human. And no-one could doubt that he was far more massive. This bug had experience… Theyr bent forward for a better view. This promised to become interesting… She was too far away to understand a word of what they were speaking above the tangle of voices, but at least she had an unhindered view down to the two creatures.
Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.
