For some strange reason that ache in her chest eased when he said he didn't hate her. The tension she had been feeling receded, while the pleasure in her arms increased. She wished she understood what the sensations meant. They were simply there with no frame of reference. If human bodies all reacted like this, it was no wonder objects were flying around his control room. Perhaps there was a chance of everything working out well, if they could just get past this distrust and awkwardness.

"The bug isn't with the Empire, is he?"...Because then the Rey doesn't even matter... because those bastards won't hesitate to turn Terra Gamma into space-dust!"

Oops, the awkwardness was back. He again sounded quite irritated, but she 'had' just brought a world of trouble to his door. She needed a way to make things right, and make it quick. "I don't know if he is with the Empire, but if he is I have the means to take him out quickly. I would prefer a different solution. I don't like violence if it can be avoided. I have an idea. I'll get back with you soon. If you hear an explosion to your port side, it didn't go so well."

She stepped off the pad. "Talon, we may need to let a few more people in on the deal. This bug may come in handy if he can be persuaded to change allegiance. I'm going to give it a try. These deals will come out of my portion of the profits."

"Ship can you penetrate the shield of the vessel to port? I need to holo-link to his bridge?"

There was a momentary processing scan, "Affirmative."

Stepping back on the pad, "Do it." Her holo image appeared behind his chair, "Hello indeed, this time it is a hologram. Couldn't get enough of me hmmm? I came to discuss terms for your surrender." Hopefully that would keep him off guard long enough for her to present her deal. Make it seem more appealing, she also didn't want him to think he had the upper hand. He was a fine specimen for a bug, it would be a shame to have to squish him.

Shadow-claw had faced silence from the intercom. He tapped the console, and waited. Several minutes pass, and his impatience gets the better of him. "Gah! This is useless... I might as well destroy the ship, and tell Emerson that they wouldn't come back..." Getting his anger, he decided that he would get a container of tree sap, and feed the micro-organisms, before they died on him. While he lathered himself with a new container of tree sap, he looked on at the area of the new ship. He concentrated on it for a very long time, trying to see what info it has. I can't see any weapons that was on the ship, when I checked. I know now that it has a cloaking device on it, since the ship's not there, and my tracking device can detect it in the area. There is a hyperdrive on the ship. After several minutes of thinking, he decided to go to the scanner, and scan the ship to see what is on the ship.

The only thing that took him by surprise was the hologram tha had appeared behind him. "Hello indeed, this time it is a hologram. Couldn't get enough of me hmmm? I came to discuss terms for your surrender." The Silencer scowled at the hologram, when she mentioned the last sentence to him. Although he wanted revenge, he had given her kudos to her, since she was able to locate his ship when it was cloaked. He chuckled quietly, and stood up, standing at his full, insect size. He turned, and looked at the hologram. He had to think what to say next, especially when she had spoken about surrender terms like he was outnumbered. He shrugged it off, and thought it was nothing.

"It seems that I can't get enough of you..." he started, giving out a sarcastic tone. "... That's why I've placed a tracking device on your ship, so that I am able to locate you when you had left the Apollyon." Although he had revealed that the tracking device was on her ship, he didn't care. "And I must say... Your ship must have good parts to it, since you were able to locate my cloaked ship. You must have a scanner for cloaked objects, if I presume correct?" Then, he had thought back to her last sentence, thinking about her terms of surrender. "... Although my kind doesn't like the term 'surrender' and would kill anyone who had made them, I am willing to hear what you have to offer. Although... you may have to be quick about it, since I don't have the patience to hear out a massive story about me being outnumbered by a large margin. The Cosmic Hunter may not look like much, but it would be able to take down an Imperial Cruiser down."

Zet'kil was again focused on the control, trying hard not to interfere the two now in the ship. (One was still a hologram though, it appeared to her.) There was indeed small notice about the cloaked alien ship which doubtlessly belonged to Lya, first because she was here and as for the second, the only thing the ship had actually detected was the subspace which could not be created by humans.
The note was almost right after the part about re-calibrating because of the high-speed travel, which came with rather sudden change of location.

Besides that, there was not much interesting, besides a note of the presence of several other ships which could be not identified, besides the most rough information, because of the sensors being disrupted. -Accompanied by several independent messages saying almost the same thing: that the sensors aren't working properly because of the ship surrounding it.

Almost no possibility of noticing the second, smaller follower, especially without expecting one.

As he mentioned the "Empire" again, she looked up and waited for a reply in her part. She said that she will try talking first, and when she doesn't succeed, bring the bug's ship to the ground.
When the things were about to be so simple, then let them be. She was quite sure that Melai had mentioned something about good communicational devices if she remembered correct. And if "good" was what she thought it was, then the rest of the Empire would know it on the moment the insectoid first detected the small planet's presence... But yet there seemed to be no attack so it wasn't probably so.

Besides, even when the Union itself wouldn't possibly bother with human matters, she had still a friend or two who would at least try to help her out, whatever mess she'd get herself into. But if only one state-of-art high-tech warship and a few TS6-type ships could stand against the full "Empire" no matter how ancient their technology was... That was the question which would be very in it's place in that case.

In the other hand, didn't he tell her that the Empire didn't like bugs at all? But how could they employ one in that case? "Does Empire really hire insectoids in their lines? I thought that you said they were at war?" She asked the question shortly after Lya D'vahl had disappeared again.
A thought can create a world, but only a word written down can ensure its existence.

-When I am physically capable of doing something it doesn't mean I can do it. When I can, it doesn't mean that I should. When I should, it doesn't mean that I must. When I must, it doesn't mean that I will.
-I might not always know where I currently am, but I am never lost. I know in which direction my destination lies.
-There is no faith in knowing. I prefer to know, as only in this way can I be certain in my decisions.
-The more people you ask a question the higher the chance that at least one of them is right.
-Make me walk on walls, don't force me to dance according to others' will.
-I agree that life can be depressing at times. I just choose to ignore it.
-I don't figure over possibilities. I want, I can, I do.

She had almost matched him in height with her bug form, but he towered over her impressively now. He could well suit her purposes. He seemed more reasonable now than before. This was just what she needed. "My ship, far surpasses anything this quadrant has to offer. Mostly chrono-phase and temporal technology. It is for my protection. However, my one temporal cannon is capable of taking out the dear captains Apollyon. One or two well placed shots would have him drifting in space. I am not one for unnecessary violence, or I would have killed you on the ship. It is my hope that you enjoyed the alternative." She paused to allow his options to sink in.

"Seeing that you followed me here, shows great determination, and forethought by putting that tracking device on my ship. I could use a being of your qualifications in my employ. Talon, my partner and I have full rights to 10% of all Telkran sales to humans. All humans anywhere. Rather than a salary, I would offer you 10% of my profit. The Captain can't even come close to the riches that will begin to accrue over the next few months. As soon as my people know of the market here, the credits will flow. The Company could use a good protector of our interests. See that 'we' are not followed, guard our ship and assets. I have no need of a body guard, and I am capable of defending Talon. What do you say? Is surrender amiable?"

Shadow-claw had listened intently to some of her specifications of her ship. He was amazed that she owned a weapon that could destroy the Apollyon with ease. Even with his own made Duke Buster, the massive weapon would not be able to match the full power of the weapon that she had. "It seems... that your cannon would outstrip my own brand of destructive weapons... The Duke Buster has a similar effect on Imperial Ships, but it is not only a thermonuclear weapon, but it's also a chemical weapon, able to kill of anything within it. Unfortunately, this ship is not able to use it effectively, unless I open the door, and just drop it like a bomb."

However, the next few sentences of the conversation had caught his attention. "Seeing that you followed me here, shows great determination and forethought, by putting that tracking device on my ship. I could use a being of your qualifications in my employ. Talon, my partner and I have full rights to 10% of all Telkran sales to humans. All humans anywhere. I have no need of a body guard, and I am capable of defending Talon. What do you say? Is surrender amiable?" He thought about the deal very carefully. Although he has never betrayed any of his contractors before, and with some who had offered more, he had considered this occasion.

"Although I am a man of my word, and I would not betray any of my contractors, even for a large sum of money. However, you have another thing that is behind that deal. Technology... I am willing to part my services from Captain Emerson with that vast sum of money. But... I want to make an offer of my own. I would like 5% of your profit, seeing that you merchants need the money, and I would also like any technology that comes to pass free of charge. I am an insect that is interested to improve my ship's ability in all areas. So... will you accept my offer?" He looked at her, his gaze intensifying.

"Five percent and technology it is, but I can not under any circumstances share Telkran technology. I will not betray my people. However, I will see that you are equipped with any of the goods from my cargo hold that you would like. Oh, except for the Planet Busters, they require permits and full disclosure agreements. You can't blow up planets indiscriminately. The planet's denizens must be deemed a hazard to galactic welfare."

She nodded to affirm her statement, "To arm and protect you, is to protect myself. You may also share in any technologies found in this quadrant." It was a fair trade, she probably would have increased his fire power anyway, but there was no harm in promising future prospects. "If this is agreeable, I accept your surrender. I will find out where we may land, and secure our arrangements."

The Silencer relaxed in the chair, as the deal was accepted. "Although my terms mean all technology that comes to pass... I am willing to make certain contraints with them. Besides, I don't want any planetary destruction weapons, or that would overpower my ship to a vast degree. I will not be able to control that amount of power without it going to my head. So... I will turn my head towards those weapons. The only thing that I will be needing at the moment is missile bays, ones that are able to fire my Duke Busters. If you want to have a look at these missiles that I have created, then feel free to ask. Again, I won't part with those, or how to make them, easily."

He listened to the final sentence before replying. "If this is agreeable, I accept your surrender. I will find out where we may land, and secure our arrangements." He sat up in his chair, surprised with the sudden use of surrender. Although he had outwitted her, and had gained a powerful and rich ally, surrender was not the term that he would have used at all.

"I am with agreement, but this is not a surrender on either parties. This would be a new contract on my side of things, and a loyal mercenary on your side of things. Send me the co-ordinates to this location, and we'll sign this contract." Before he turned off the hologram, he had remembered one thing. "Oh... before I forget anything... What is your name? All of my contractors have names to their faces."

Within the few minutes Theyr had spent on her own she had learned a new thing about human technology: Now she knew for sure that heavy machinery falling down was not too pleasant for her feet. With a displeased grunt she lifted the automatic which seemed to be not much lighter than herself up the shelf and on its place again, balancing herself on one foot to disburden her bruised toes. Human weaponry was definitely too dangerous for her…

Far noises disturbed her thoughts about what she would like to do with the gun and a random human bastard. She recognized one of the voices as Melais, the other one was female, humanoid and somehow familiar, though she could not identify the speaker. Still she was sure to have heard the woman not far back. Although the not too exited voices didn’t indicate a fight and the variety of pilots had increased drastically, she was not too sure if it was clever to leave the human alone. She might need a guide on the planet of outlaws, at least for the first weeks. From what Melai had told them the planet was not really what could be called safe, although Theyr normally managed to take care of herself. Or at least of the important parts.

She approached the voices, ignoring the pain in her foot. When the sounds became cleared Theyr could allocate the appendant body: The bitch from Gendon Delta 7 who had dared to steal this important part of Melai’s ship, whatever it was called. The woman she would love to stab from the back and to pump full with every drop of poison she possessed. Too bad that according to the smell it seemed to be a hologram…

She sauntered towards the human and took her place a bit behind him, according to her position as his life guard. Giving the alien creature a hostile glare she mumbled something inscrutable but definitely not well-meaning.
Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

This was not good, she needed his word that they would stand down. It was too dangerous to trust without call given.

"We must both surrender hostilities for the deal to be met. I too will yield in this matter, but unless we agree to surrender, I cannot allow you near Melai's ship. I will not risk his safety either. Enough harm has come to the man at my hand. Also, you will remove the tracking device from my ship.

"Oh... before I forget anything... What is your name? All of my contractors have names to their faces."

"I am Lya D'vahl, Telkran a shape-shifter. Dealer of weapons, luxuries and aphrodisiacs. A pleasure to meet you.. ?" Hmmmm, the deal he could have had. It seemed Talon was the only one with a true business mind, but one had to ask...one had to ask.

Shadow-claw nodded at her. "Alright... I will submit. As long as this deal is done, then I will surrender until they are met. Then I'll get on with my new task." He nodded at Lya when she had mentioned her name, and saying that she was a shapeshifter. "Greetings to you, Lya D'vahl. I am Shadow-claw, a Silencer mercenary, and captain of the Cosmic Hunter." He nodded, and looked on at the future prospect of this contract.
