Shadow-claw watched as the hologram started to morph back into a female Silencer. Then, to his surprise, she started to do the ancient mating ritual. "I have no desire to kill you. My friend and I simply wish to leave. Either way, you will fail in your attack. You cannot harm me." The Silencer was being mesmerised with the hologram, as she followed the ritual, as if the book was here, not that there is one (I hope). The chittering started to get louder as she started to come closer to him. "Now, do you wish to fight a battle you cannot win? One touch will convince you otherwise." He wanted to reach out and touch her, to see if she was real.

A voice spoke to him from the back of his mind. Don't do it, Shadow-claw. For one thing, she's not a part of your species, and two, never forget what the rest of your kind did to you. They forced you into exile. You have sworn never to become friends with the insectoids again. Coming back to reality, he shook his head, and jumped back. "Try as hard as you like, hologram. You won't mesmerize me like the rest of my kind, after forcing me into exile. Even if you do escape this ship, I will track you down, and bring you back to Captain Emerson." He snapped his claws open, and was ready for her attack.

"Try as hard as you like, hologram. You won't mesmerize me like the rest of my kind, after forcing me into exile. Even if you do escape this ship, I will track you down, and bring you back to Captain Emerson."

"The bigger they come the harder they fall," she muttered. Well at least he was loyal to this Emerson. "In case you hadn't noticed the line of stunned guards behind me, do you really believe you can harm me? I need to leave! You were warned, and I will not be responsible." She shifted back to her natural form, the golden cloud moved steadily toward the hatch until she had surrounded the bug with her form. His mind was tumultuous, but still had pleasure centers. She whispered as she passed, "You will never know what pleasure you missed. You may try to bring me back, but I am not easily captured or led about. I promise you a good fight then, if you choose to pursue me. But I must leave, it is imperative. Give your captain my regards, and if he wishes to see me again, tell him to learn some manners." Then she left a burst of pleasure to his mind that should leave him sunned long enough for her to escape.

She zapped this lock the same as the other, and made her way to her ship. Lya found Talon in the control room. After sealing her hatch, she shifted to human form, "Are you alright my friend. I apologize if I frightened you. We need to leave, it may be a bit bumpy if they shoot at us, but my ship can take anything they have. Do not worry about a thing." Back in her original form she melded with the ship, and shot out through the force field of the launch bay and into the blackness of space.

Shadow-claw was taken by surprise, as the hologram enveloped him in a gold cloud. A sudden emotion of happiness enveloped him as she left the corridor. He shook his head as the emotions had left his head, only to hear the sounds of the engines of the other ship. He ran up to the ship, but was too late. He was sent backwards into the corridor again as the ship blasted out of the Appolyon, dazing the Silencer. He remained motionless on the floow for several minutes, and some of the guards that the hologram had incapacitated woke up from their dazed state. They had formed a crowd around the insectoid. One of them thought that he was dead, and had poked him with a stick, just to make sure.

The insectoid's eyes snapped open with the gentle prod, and sent the man flying though several techs and guards. He looked as the ship that the hologram and the human was in had left the ship. He looked at his arm, and noticed that there was a small hole in it, and presumed that was where the human had fired. They will pay... By the time he had gotten up onto his feet, his temper was at boiling point. He slammed a few guards to the side, knocking them unconscious again. "OUT OF MY WAY!!" he spat, ordering the guards to move out of his path, or they too will suffer the same fate. He barked at one of the guards, telling them to tell Captain Emerson that he has left the ship in pursuit of the renegade hologram.

Shadow-claw ran towards his ship, and entered. Once inside, he activated the computer. "Computer... Ready to pursuit a tracking device that has been activated in the last hour." Understood, Captain Shadow-claw.... He strapped himself in the new chair, and looked at the radar. A red blip blinked on its surface. He started the engine, and shot out of the Apollyon, and was on Lya's tail. Not only did he want to follow Emerson's orders, but he wanted revenge.

(( I had Silvers permission to get us here))

Lya tried to rein in her agitation so it wouldn't disturb Talon. She was surprised to see him disintegrate that guard. However, she didn't really want to know just how he did it. It might have something to do with that abnormal part of his brain. She was already messed up with the information from Melai. She wasn't about to tamper with another human until she figured out what was wrong with her.

Talon? Your stunner, it is on the lowest setting. I regret not informing you, it slipped my mind in the rush. Turn the shield on the front of the dome clockwise to increase it to maximum. The lowest setting is enough for a human, but the exoskeleton on bugs is more durable than human flesh. This trip will take a little longer than the last one. I have located the signature and will...am jumping to hyperspace now.

There was a brief surge, a feeling of surreal disembodiment for about ten minutes, then they were there, Terra Gamma. Now came the difficult part. There were many ships, and signatures she could follow. The one thing they all had in common was, they all led to the huge asteroid surrounded in a cloud layer. Anything could go wrong here. She needed to find Melai, fast. Running with her shields, and cloak up, she maneuvered her way slowly through the clouds. Terra Gamma seemed to be a thriving metropolis, plenty of trading to be done. He was right on that point. She set the ship to scan for Palladium IV, with luck the shield generator she installed would be the only source of the rare mineral alloy on Terra Gamma. While she waited she allowed herself to go dormant. This whole day had been too much. Even a few minutes rest would be welcome. Her particles stopped their swirling and lay inert in the air. It was a good twenty minutes before the scan of the entire settlement was complete, and the ship woke her. Luck was with her. There was only one reading of Palladium IV. The Telkrans preferred using it because of it's scarcity. It made the perfect locator if anyone tried to run off without paying for their merchandise.

She brought her ship to hover just above his vessel. Forming back into human, she was dismayed to find that the sensation in her hands was back. She would just have to learn to live with it. Breathing deeply, and hoping he wouldn't still be angry with her, she stepped onto the holopad. "Ship project me to the control room of the Rey de Los Muerte." May as well see if there is anyone still on board. As she materialized, to her joy, he was heading out of the room, almost out of sight. With a pleasant ring to her voice, she called out, "Melai! Helloooo!" She headed toward the doorway. Lya did not want this to go poorly, and she certainly didn't want him to know how much she needed his help.

Zet'kil felt the ship around her to come to a perfect halt. It seemed that they have either landed or docked... Whichever way the things around here were. She had only seen the surface of the small planet for only a moment after all, before she came into the cargo hold to arm herself. Speaking of which, she was done with it.

Taking the thing she was holding and throwing it clumsily over her shoulder- human equipment was so much more inconvenient to drag with oneself, she decided, but at least she still had all her four hands free. Pacing towards the control room, where she suspected Melai now was, she came to a near-instant halt only a second before the door to the room suddenly opened.
The opening door was not what made her to stop, but the voice which could be heard from in front- the voice of Lya D'vahl...

"She is here?" she asked in slight confusion since she would never have suspected the Telkran to follow them, after acting so strange back on Gendon Delta 7. Actually she had suspected to never see her again.

A thought can create a world, but only a word written down can ensure its existence.

-When I am physically capable of doing something it doesn't mean I can do it. When I can, it doesn't mean that I should. When I should, it doesn't mean that I must. When I must, it doesn't mean that I will.
-I might not always know where I currently am, but I am never lost. I know in which direction my destination lies.
-There is no faith in knowing. I prefer to know, as only in this way can I be certain in my decisions.
-The more people you ask a question the higher the chance that at least one of them is right.
-Make me walk on walls, don't force me to dance according to others' will.
-I agree that life can be depressing at times. I just choose to ignore it.
-I don't figure over possibilities. I want, I can, I do.

Shadow-claw looked on as the hologram's ship left the firing range of the Apollyon, and was getting further away. He was about to get the ship's boosters on, so that he could get close enough to get the claws around the ship, when scanners started to blare. The fleeing ship is charging its hyper drive... the computer had blared out the warning. He cursed and had thrown the thrusters to the max power. However, it wasn't enough to get the claws around the ship, as the wormhole appeared in front of it, and shot through it. Cursing and spitting at the front pane of the ship, he turned to the console that was behind him. "Computer... activate the ship's hyperdrive, and follow the tracking signal..." As you wish, Captain... The Cosmic Hunter activated the hyperdrive, and shot into the wormhole after them.

Ten minutes later, he emerged from the wormhole, and saw a new planet, whos orbit is completely full with ships. "Computer... where are we?" The Silencer asked, his mood still darkened from the event before. We are on the surface of a planet called Terra Gamma. Shadow-claw sighed, and pressed the button to put on the ship's cloaking device. The ship materialized into nothing, and he started to prowl the area. He brought the ship near where the tracking device was. However, there was no ship where the device was. The ship must be in a cloak. he had thought. Cautiously, he activated the intercom, and tuned it to the frequency, which he thought was the right one. "Hello again..."

The Redneck, the Cynic, the Nerd, and the Hopeless Romantic

On the relatively long trip across the galaxies to reunite with a group of people he had ditched to travel with an alien, Talon worked on establishing some contacts. With a rather deft hand at the work he contacted and established a continues relay with several ready men. He had transport ships in the black with several groups. It hadn't taken much to purchase their loyalties, they worked for him now. Tradesman had been a little more difficult, people with the necessary skills to mediate smaller trades without his input. With both the transportation and the capable mediators in the air he could afford to set up larger trades. Mostly between humans, they were those that he had been working on setting up for a while. With the promise of larger trade in the future the deals finally clicked into place.
His guards were more difficult, from one of his older contacts he managed to procure the name and contact numbers of a powerful mercenary group. They were rough soldiers, but skilled and loyal to their organization. The only problem was controlling the organization. In the span of one trip he managed to buy half of the rank to his side. With them vying for priority on his ships, he managed to buy out the head of the organization. In all but name he owned the organization. They knew him only by his new account number, and a false name he had supplied. He was Random to everyone except those who had known him in the past. It was essential that his parents didn't know his movements, otherwise he would be done for.

With most of his contacts set up, and the warm news that he had at least a handful of lesser contacts on Terra Gamma, the newly dubbed Random was ready for whatever came. He was in a much better mood than he had been in the past, and thoughts of his recent seizure had all but fled his mind. Lya had already left a while ago, he hadn't even looked up when they had entered orbit. With the powerful link she had sold him he had been able to set up several contacts at once. He was surprised that only a little over ten minutes had passed. Many of his actions were still pending, but he doubted any would refuse his tightly controlled offers.

Quietly fiddling with the keyboard next to the only door that lead into the docking bay he had connected the Rey to, Melai waited for some kind of sign that the others were coming. But even though Harper, Theyr and Zet'kil seemed to take their sweet time about finding some suitable firearms, he did not mind much, since he had to program the ship's turrets to fire on anyone who got near it that did not match the signatures of either himself or his three new crewmembers, since otherwise, it was about as certain as the War that everything in the Rey would be stolen in a few minutes after they had left it, and the ship would probably have joined the shattered wreckages on the bottom of the docking-pit. Programming the turrets to recognize their signatures was the hard part, though. But he had tried it before, and for once, he had plenty of time. While in his ship on Terra Gamma, nothing could touch him.

However, as he was about half-way through the programming of the computer, Melai would have sworn that he heard a quite familiar voice call out for him. At first, he thought that he had to be hearing things, but a moment after he heard the voice again. There was no doubt about it... it was Lya!
His face instantly turning red, Melai rushed back towards his control room, only to true enough find the female Telkran there, apparently looking for him - or rather, as he made a quick check by setting nearby particles into motion with his telekinesis, a hologram picturing her. But for her to project a hologram of herself into the Rey, she would have to know exactly where it was, and she probably had to be quite close for the signal to be this clear... this was not good.

"You've got to be freakin' kidding me!" he yelled, his eyes looking like they almost were popping out of his skull, and nearby objects started levitating once again, "Y-you can't be here! Shit... Reztaan will have my head for this! Noone but people specifically involved with the affairs of Terra Gamma is supposed to be able to find it! Okay..." He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, and although it evidently had little effect on his stress-levels - which was made obvious by the fact that stuff kept floating around in the air - his initial anger turned into fear accompanied with quite a bit of annoyance. "Okay, it's okay... you're here, big deal, you aren't going to blow the astroid up or turn us all in to the Empire. But... please, by all the colonies, please do tell me that you weren't followed here?"

"You've got to be freakin' kidding me!"

Oh my, clearly he was angrier now than the first time she met him. She hadn't expected him to greet her with open arms, but neither had she expected this much anger. That ache in her chest was staring again, and she could feel her eyes getting glassy. She clenched her jaw, and refused to let the moisture form like it did the last time. She could get through this. This wasn't half as humiliating as returning home with the same cargo you left with.

"Okay, it's okay... you're here, big deal, you aren't going to blow the asteroid up or turn us all in to the Empire. But... please, by all the colonies, please do tell me that you weren't followed here?"

That arrogant bug wouldn't be foolish enough to actually chase her, after the humiliation she put him through, would he? She tried to keep her voice calm, but she was sure it held a hint of panic, "Followed? Why would anyone follow me? If they did, it will be unpleasant for them, to say the least. Besides I'm cloaked, no one can detect me."

A quizical expression crossed her features for a moment. "Blow up the asteroid?" She forced a bright smile at him, "Don't be silly why would I waste a perfectly good Planet Buster on a puny asteroid like this. I don't blow up planets without good reason." Walking a bit toward him, then leaning against the control center, she continued. "I am sorry to barge in like this, but I've got this shipload of goods, and no place to sell it, I thought maybe you might like in on the action, for introducing me to ...the right people." This next was going to be the difficult part for her. "As much as I hate to admit it, you were right about the Imperial Cruiser. That captain, after sweet talking me, had the nerve to lock me up! Can you believe that? Me...Lya D'vahl! So I thought to myself, Melai knows a whole asteroid worth of traders, what better place to sell my stuff? He hates me, but profit is profit. Besides, even when you were mean you never locked me up. Did I mention I hate being locked up? So, what do you... ouch damn it ship..."

"What is it?" She turned to the console, "There is a ship hovering slightly to out port side. I am receiving a hail."

"Hello again..."

She stepped quickly back to the pad, a look of wide eyed panic on her face. "Ummm it looks like I was wrong again." She began to fidget with her dress, "It appears I was followed, by a damned nasty bug with a temper problem. I could shoot him down, but I'm not sure what kind of reaction that would bring. Right now, I'm shielding you, and I'm fairly certain he can't hurt me. Besides 'drop dead Lya', have you got any suggestions?"

At first, Melai calmed down rather quickly as her speech progressed, and by the point that she mentioned that he hated her, he almost felt a little sad. He knew that he could be rather aggressive at times, and that he was overly defensive when it came to the Rey, but to go as far as to say that he hated her?
"I don't hate you," he sighed with a strangely patient voice, as if he was trying to explain something to a little child, "You have just showed up at some unfortunate places with extremely bad timing. I don't really hate anyone, besides those freaks from the Empire."

When she continued and soon leant out of the hologram to speak to her ship, or so it would seem, and then leant back to inform that she had, in fact, been followed, Melai was almost ready to announce that he had changed his mind. For a moment he was sufficiently mad for the glass-instruments around to explode, spraying tiny shards all over the control room. But with enormous effort, Melai managed to control himself, taking deep breaths and trying to clear his mind.
"Right..." he muttered, but he failed to keep his voice calm and persisted to sound rather irritated, "Well, it's a bug with a spaceship... that's quite unusual. But I can live with that. And a single ship won't be able to beat the entire outlaw-fleet here - they're armed for fighting Imperial Hunters and Bombers, after all. And a bug is pretty sure not to be with the Empire." Suddenly, Melai remembered that Lya had said that she had actually been in contact with an Imperial captain, and that she had been taken prisoner, and to escape, she quite undoubtedly would have earned the anger of several Imperial people while at it...
"The bug isn't with the Empire, is he?" Melai asked, suddenly feeling his heart skip a beat in fear, "Because then the Rey doesn't even matter... because those bastards won't hesitate to turn Terra Gamma into space-dust!"
