She nodded in response to his invitation, and stepped off the holo-pad. A wide grin spread across her face. This was a stroke of pure kismet. There was something odd about this particular humanoid form. It felt different. She sighed and let her particles drift out into the control room, and delve into the ship. Control panel active, she remained cloaked and headed toward her earlier coordinates. Hopefully, the pirate would be a bit less...irritable this time.

Scanning the approach, she noticed some type of search vessels. They appeared to be looking for Melai's ship. "Darmet's Mother! If they mess up this transaction..." Making a quick decision, she brought her ship to hover over the wrecked vessel and the other two ships. Then she set her cloak to maximum, effectively hiding them all. Just for safety sake she brought her temporal-phase pistol. Opening the loading hatch, she streamed to the surface, resuming her human form. She secured the pistol, out of sight, to a holster on her back. "Hello? HELLO? Melai...Zet'kil? She began wandering toward Melai's ship.

"You know, I actually don't consist of the same things you humans do... Why would I know what happens to me, unless I let the computer to analyze it and its likely outcome?"

Harpalyce peered at Zet'kil a moment suspiciously before bursting into light laughter herself. "Damn, didn't really think 'bout then. Well, iff'n you can't drink it, tell me what yeh can drink an' I'll doctor up th' hooch," she declared, raising the mug in salute before taking a long sip herself. She looked over at Melai somewhat worriedly.

"...maybe no more fer you, tho'. Don' think the drink likes yer floaty trick thing." She paused a bit to listen closely to Melai before giving a nod. "I guess tha' is true 'nough. If it's a bit of'a trip, might as well do some tune-up sorta things on th' Lady while we're goin' over there... 'd be better if you got yer own right-off, though. Tha' profiteer'll pro'lly try to rob us blind, but, eh, y'know..." She gave a shrug before sipping again at the mug with a sigh.

The 'droid came to sit before them, the steady list of tutorials and guides continuing to scroll by on its holodisplay. Harper eyed the list. "Well, 'n any case, I'll start unloadin' the Lady. What'cha want me to be workin' on first? No reason I can't be workin' while yer bargainin'."

Theyr left the moment quite a while after the two others. Being sure that her chauffeur wouldn’t be in danger of facing any danger outdoor, she had allowed herself to be on her beat for a while to get to know the so-called ship a little better. It didn’t look as bad as she had expected by the outside – in fact most of the furniture was too foreign for her to mark the state out – but still she had no idea how Melai wanted to restart this expanse of rubble. If a crosser would be in this condition she’d have given it the coup de grace long ago.

Finally leaving the ship she had to face another surprise. Another human and a thing she identified as a strange kind of robot had joined the little group. Theyr narrowed her eyes to leery slits, though the fact that Melai and Zet’kil obviously had a friendly, or at least an intimate contact with her calmed her down a little. “Theyr”, she introduced herself short-spoken with a little nod. It was a pretty weird and not too pleasant feeling to treat humans not too hostile. Still she felt that it was her chore towards Melai who was dumb enough to enable her a way out of the witches’ caldron she had to face on Gendon Delta 7.

Once they found a way to get the starjump-drive back, this is. Theyr wasn’t sure if she had interpreted the chitchat correctly, but as far as she had managed to put two and two together, the woman had stolen something essential for them to get off this boulder. And this awakened the cold-blooded killer instinct her race had embraced and advocated long ago.
Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

Shadow-claw recieved a message from what he thought was the battleship's computer mainframe. As he listened to the message, saying that the captain was unavailable at the moment, he sat down in his chair, and sighed. He swivelled in his chair, checking the status of the hull of the ship where the Ori had damaged it. "Computer... what is the status of the hull's integrity?" Hull has been damaged. Shields have held when the Ori have attacked, but the shield short circuited and allowed some of the acid through. The hull's integrity is at about 74%, but the acid is still eroding at the hull...

The Silencer nodded and thanked the computer for the report. I have brought this ship back from the bone yard with my own two claws. I am not going to lose her now... The dashboard beeped, forcing the insectoid to lose his concentration. The ship has patched a connection to the battlecruiser 'Apollyon'. Pressing the button to allow a video conference, he looked at his contractor.

"Greetings. This is Captain Joshua Emerson of the battlecruiser 'Apollyon'. What can I do for you?"

Shadow-claw pressed the intercom button, leaning over slightly. "Greetings. I believe that you have hired me for your services back at the docks. My ship has been damaged by a couple of Ori back on the planet. One of them managed to spit their acidic venom at the hull of my ship, and has eaten 26% of the ship's hull. At the moment, the acid is still eating away at the hull. Would it be possible for me to enter the docking bay and repair my ship?"

Seeing that there was no problem, and that the sensors showed that the weapon lock on the Apollyon had been dropped from the ship that had was cloaked a moment earlier, the Silencer pressed the button on the dashboard, deactivating the cloaking device that had enveloped the ship.

Standing and waiting for a reply Talon slowly began to grow impatient. Word of a reply reached the alien through his computer. Talon didn't really think on the alien long enough to truly consider his/her gender. As a male he automatically thought of that which he wasn't sure of as male, and aside from that the alien made him nervous. Something he definitely didn't want to be if it did come down to negotiations.

His waiting simply changed it's goal ever so slightly. Now he awaited a reply about negotiations from the alien life form. Which made the wait worse, standing around there was little to occupy his mind except the examination of his companions. More of whom made him nervous than were any comfort as to the safety of his current company. He wasn't sure how well money was going to keep these people leashed, and he wasn't sure how reliable they were otherwise.

He began to grow distracted, focused inward he lost track of his surrounding. The state had a calming effect on his nerves. However it left him at the mercy of whoever would approach him, as any natural defenses he might have were dropped.
However with the shouts from the Telkren approaching the wreckage Talon managed to shake himself free from his own mind. Spinning on his heels with little grace he watched the woman approach. To him she was a woman, he didn't understand anything except for that fact. Some random woman was approaching the ship and seemed to know the names of some of the disreputable company he was keeping.

Thinking himself a gentleman above the others Talon approached her. Bowing low with a graceful flourish he attempted to introduce himself and to speak. He believed himself to be charismatic when he wasn't sweating like a pig and nervous that his own allies were going to shoot him.
" I greet you with honor. My name is Talon Verseers, heir to the Verseer fortune. I ask that you forgive my rudeness. But it is essential that I am aware as to your business with this group. I fear they may be unstable, and possibly dangerous to the uninformed citizen."
"I mourn that which may have been but will never be."

"Stupidity is a wound that bleeds forever; Intelligence is a blade that stays forever sharp"

"An armed man will kill and unarmed man with monotonous regularity"

"Nothing adds a little class to a sniper course like a babe in a Ghillie suit."

"You have the rest of your life to solve your problems. How long you live depends on how well you do it."

"Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but he's gonna have to beat me to death with it, 'cause it's going to be empty."

Telkran ship approaching. Massive cloaking field detected.
Zet'kil watched the control with slight amazement.
"Seems that the visibility problem has taken care of. I doubt these beholders will see through what the Telkran has put over us for reasons known only to her... Even I can only detect the field, but as for what is inside... That is more of a guessing and calculation than real measuring. So... One problem less for now, no? I just hope that we can strike a reasonable deal with her."
The Xeian herself was rather positive on the last part.

"Damn, I did not really think about that. Well, if you can not drink it, tell me what you can drink and I will doctor up the hooch."
"Than you for the offer, but I think that I have mine on my own ship." The Xeian assured her, before shouts a little way off caught her "ears".

"Hello? HELLO? Melai...Zet'kil?"

"See who has finally made her appearance... And I do doubt it is a hologram this time, but a real human-shaped Telkran instead." The Xeian assumed, before she wandered off in the direction of the sounds.

Watching the third human -who had called himself "Talon" earlier- made a some kind of gesture which she thought was supposed to be respectful towards the approaching Telkran and started to speak.
" I greet you with honor. My name is Talon Verseers, heir to the Verseer fortune. I ask that you forgive my rudeness. But it is essential that I am aware as to your business with this group. I fear they may be unstable, and possibly dangerous to the uninformed citizen."

The Xeian made a soft "knak"-sound with her jaws. Seemed that he had not a single idea who' is he talking to, not to mention that calling someone "unstable and dangerous" isn't exactly polite when the mentioned person is at present. Even more disturbing was the fact that from what she understood, SHE herself was also included in that. A little bit irritated by that, she made her own turning towards the Telkran.

"Nice to see you again, Lya D'vahl, of the Telkran race. I am glad that you finally decided to show yourself to us in your real human shape, instead of appearing as a hologram."
Zet'kil said, intentionally putting a slight stress on the words that were connected to her origin.
"I really hope that it means that you are here to give us an opportunity to reclaim the Jump Drive that is now in your possession. I have the three materials mentioned before, and also a few other heaver metals on board, and also a little of the currency commonly used by the Xeian Union. I would like you to name your price, if possible."

Finally spotting a humanoid, she headed in his general direction. He spun around, looking a bit nervous for some reason. Tensing for an instant she prepared to grab her gun. As he bent over in some sort of strange greeting, her stance relaxed. He didn't seem to be threatening her in any way.

" I greet you with honor. My name is Talon Verseers, heir to the Verseer fortune. I ask that you forgive my rudeness. But it is essential that I am aware as to your business with this group. I fear they may be unstable, and possibly dangerous to the uninformed citizen."

A wide grin spread across her face. This was her kind of person. He seemed to know the protocols of business, even greeting her with honor. Perhaps these humans were not all as deceptive as her first impression of them. More than that he didn't seem inclined to wring her neck. "It is a pleasure to greet you, Talon. Finally some common manners I understand. Yes, I already met the possibly dangerous and unstable Melai. He could use some of your manners, however, I thank you for your concern. How did you manage to get involved with such an irrational person?" Zet'kil made a funny noise with her jaw, drawing Lya's attention for a moment. "Talon Verseers, if there is anything I can provide you with, be certain to let me know."

"Greetings Zet'kil, I hope things go better this time. The items of heavy metal, what are they? And if they suit our needs in the future are you able to supply them in any quantity? As for the price of the Jump Drive, that may rise and fall with the temper of Melai. It was an abandoned wrecked vessel with no being guarding it. There was no stealing involved, simply a salvage operation. Where is he by the way? I may have other items he will need. It seems a large fleet has entered the system and occupied the city."

Stepping forward again Talon almost missed a step. This woman was the Telkran he had been waiting to bargain with. She didn't look like an alien however, his experience with aliens was limited to the bugs and this strange creature that traveled with them now.
She was quite different, she looked like a human. A moderately attractive one at that. He couldn't however let that effect the calm he was just barely hanging onto. It would take a measure of discipline if he was to actually get in a bargain with this woman. He didn't actually worry about the price. If there wasn't enough in his account to cover the cost, this woman would probably be able to break the Empire's bank after all.

Approaching her he stepped into the conversation.
" My apologies for interrupting this talk of business. However I will be doing the bargaining for this Melai. He will be allowed his input of course, but as it is my money to be spent. It is my bargaining that you shall have to allow this day. I do apologize for mistaking you for some random traveler. I did not truly understand what it is to be a Telkran. I believe that I still do not."
"I mourn that which may have been but will never be."

"So do I. As for the heavy metal, I think it is better to sell them as pure element, rather than finalized objects- you see, most things consist of several different materials, while the material itself can be formed into whatever is needed- Although, I might let you to have a look on some of the things I can afford giving away right now. But, when you need something specific in greater amounts I can always make an order for it."
Zet'kil replied, ignoring Talon's words for a moment, before continuing: "But in case if you happen to be in need of human money, I would suggest turning to this man here, who is very willing to give it away, as you can see."
She made an uncaring gesture towards Talon. "I think that I might as well look where did our friend Melai go, while you discuss that with him, and maybe you should also explain him a little closer what a Telkran is, since as a representative of the race you can do it the best, I assume." She added, before turning to the direction where she had last seen the captain of the Rey.

While Melai was busy talking to Harper and Zet'kil, he was surprised when he felt some kind of disturbance in his surroundings through the constant movement in the air that his slight drunkness resulted in. It felt as if... if the entire world around the three vessels here was being bended and twisted in insane ways, and it took a moment after he noticed that strange sensation before he noticed the familiar calling of the Telkran's voice, this time outside of any of the spaceships, so he figured that it was the real creature this time. Also, he guessed that since the Telkran was there in person, her ship was bound to be nearby, and since her ship was nearby, that would probably explain the odd feeling of bending space around them. Melai had little knowledge in the field, and even less when it came to alien technology, but when he noticed a Beholder passing close by the area where they were located, with one of its cones of light sweeping straight across the Rey, yet without reacting, he guessed that the feeling had to be related to some kind of cloaking device.

Curious, Melai looked up, temporarily forgetting about the Telkran herself and instead focusing on finding her ship. He only had to search for a moment before he noticed that it actually hovered right above the Rey, immobile and probably unmanned at the moment, and for a second, Melai played with the thought of trying whether his telekinetic powers were strong enough to bring down the alien vessel and crash it into the ground, but he quickly came to the conclusion that doing such would be a bad idea for several reasons, so he decided against it. But then again, he was also reluctant to go to meet the Telkran again. Yet, as the captain of the biggest ship around, he figured that it was his duty to at least take part in the bargaining that was necessary to get the Rey fixed up.

Approaching Zet'kil, Talon and Lya, Melai let out a soft sigh, once again having to concentrate to keep his slightly drunk mind in control, and once again he was almost starting to regret not having gone with the Imperial agents that day, so he could have been trained more thoroughly in using his powers. But only almost - Melai had never really been the kind of person who just went with the flow.

"All righty then," Melai yelled to announce that he had arrived at the 'table' of negotiations, "Shall we get this over with so we can all get out of here as quickly as possible? First of all - the Starjump drive. That's the first thing we want to buy. Go ahead and bleed us out." He closed his eyes and quietly rubbed his temples, still rather annoyed with having to buy something that was actually his back from the one who had stolen it. He made a mental memo to himself that once he got to Terra Gamma, he was going to get completely wasted, even if it meant accidentially sending a few people into orbit...
