"I am fine. And I don't know." Her hard emotionless gaze returned and she looked away. That wasn't completely true. She knew, or rather, had the hunch that her dear sister was wounded. Not life threateningly so, but just badly enough to cause her worry. Keira wanted to see her more than anything else at the moment, but she knew she shouldn't. Here, duty always comes first. It pained her to know nothing of what's happening on her sister's side. Despite the mage's warning, Shura stilll fought to sit up. "Don't hold me down," he muttered indignantly. "It hurts more if I rest on my wounds." He felt it earlier- her healing touch. A part of him was immensely grateful- a part of him that wasn't quite who he was. There was a craving... to stay by her, like somesort of a magnetic pull. Trying desperately to ignore it, he turned to Keira. "They got Resee?" "Six against one." A bitter smile came to Keira's lips. "I'm not sure of her situation, but Jegan is with her now." Three Rune Knights hurried into the garden. All of them were dressed in the grandeur of silver armour, their large signature shields helf ready on one arm. Two had bows readily strung in their grip while the last one held a sword. "We received your request for aid. His majesty himself has instructed the order to keep a tight watch within the Royal Grounds." Then the man turned to Shura. "Captain, the General wishes for you to rest. It is an order. A healer will be appointed to you." What? Shura stared at his comrade in bewilderment. Healer? Since when did the General appoint a healer to him when it has only been two days since the torture? That will ruin all the effort! The mage... her healing had broken the necessary ritual anyway.... "Understood," he murmured in submission. Nodding, the Knight turned to Sayuri. "Are you injured, my lady?" "Go, Keira. You need to see Resee," Shura said with a small smile. "There are three fellow Knights here with us. We will be fine." It didn't take much persuasion for her to leave. Keira cast a brief glance between the mage and her first captain in commmand then turned on her heel and raced swiftly out of the courtyard. Edited by Seiss, Apr 7 2009, 10:22 PM.

Sayuri almost said the words that would cause her to move away from her post and/or duty to guard her, but she bit her lip. She knew that they would not, for the fact that it was their sole purpose to guard her, as it were their orders from the King. "Shura," she murmured, her voice suddenly very quiet yet somehow firm, sounding almost as if she really didn't want to do what she was going to do. She pushed him back down firmly enough as to not harm him, but made it so that he rested on his stomach instead. (Erm... Sayuri amazes me. XD ) This time, she wasn't aware of the flickering of her magic as they danced softly across his body but quickly stopped as they healed only the deepest of the cuts of Shura's injuries, still leaving more or less many other injuries. Her mind was elsewhere for a moment as she recalled certain memories back at the old palace before shaking them off... She looked up and snapped out of her musings when Keira spoke again. She frowned and hoped as well as prayed that Resee was not too badly hurt. "I do hope that she's all right," she whispered with a slightly shaky voice, though the shakiness of it disappeared during the second half of the sentence. Suddenly, she was hit with the severity of her being here as well as the future troubles she was most likely going to cause as herself was the center of it for just being a mage from Rania. When the three knights then appeared, they quickly began to speak and she listened. "If it's all right with the King, may I be the one to help him recover?" Sayuri suddenly asked, her side that wants to help people showing quite strongly in her eyes. She blinked when the Knight turned to her to ask if she was fine. She looked about herself, discovering some of her clothes had gotten torn thanks to the arrows or bolts. "Yes, I'm fine, but I do not think this gown is," she said with a weak smile. Then Shura told Keira to go off to see her sister and Sayuri weakly waved good-bye as Keira cast a quick glance between her and Shura before quickly turning on her heel and running towards where her sister apparently was being held. Keira had quickly disappeared around the corner and she looked down at Shura, whose head was now resting on her lap. "Now, you should listen to the King's orders and rest." Now that the ordeal was over, his annoyance and utter distaste for the royal guards caused his temper to flare. He shrugged off the mage's hands and dragged himself forcefully to his feet. He really didn't care for his wounds anymore. Since he seemed to be prone to injuries in the past few days. Worrrying and being pampered for every single cut was starting to grate on his nerves. "Useless guards. What were they taught when the order was training its men?" he spat in disgust. "Rest assured, captain." the Rune Knight who held a sword smiled wryly. "Our General will see to it that they are punished. They will be replaced, it seems." The Rune Knight nodded at the mage and gave Shura a meaningful look. "I don't see why not. I am sure Captain would welcome your help. And as long as you stay here, my lady, there is no need to worry about your clothes." He grinned. "The King wishes to see you once you are ready." Was he... flirting with the damned mage? The fire of his anger diminished considerably when the Knight humoured him. Amused, Shura raised a brow suggestively. "If the General so desires, I will comply." He had no slightest idea why the General was actually insisting to have him healed. What about the demonic beast? "The Order will be guarding the Royal premises for the time being." The Rune Knight shook his head lightly at the Captain, but smiled. "You will be safe." Heaving a sigh, Shura eyed the mage balefully and began shuffling indignantly towards his chamber. "Come, then, my lady healer." Edited by Seiss, Apr 13 2009, 08:56 PM.

Sayuri flinched when Shura managed to pull himself up and for some reason, when he spoke, she flinched, obviously he seemed oblivious to that. He's angry, she thought as she paled slightly, feeling the air somewhat become tense all of the sudden. She held her arms to her chest in response as soon as she stood up right as soon as Shura did. She flinched at the reopened wounds, already able to taste the blood as if it were her own as if it were strong enough for her to smell... I think it might just be my magic going haywire, she thought restlessly as her eyes kept glancing back to Shura's wounds, her fingers itching to heal. However, when the Rune Knight spoke, her cautious glances broke when she glanced up to take notice of his speech. She frowned slightly as he mentioned the Royal Guards being replaced with others. Why am I not surprised? It was the same back at home, she thought blankly as she turned her face to face the ground until the Rune Knight again spoke, but this time, it was directed towards her. "Ah, yes, clothes aren't a problem for me," she said with a smile. She completely did not see the attempt at the flirting and thought of it as something of a just a small concern. After all, men flirting with her was something she hardly ever had encountered with, especially back at home where she was considered a total outcast despite the looks that the males often gave her as she was passing by. But of course, she didn't know at the time that they had been checking her out to see if she was "hot enough" to be taken to bed with them. However, since then, she had been only wearing clothes that had covered most of her skin, but the Mages wardrobe calls for no such thing. Their bodies would be revealed on their legs up to their thighs and all the way across their collar bone area. If Sayuri had been wearing the official uniform of a Rania Mage, she was absolutely positive that they would have seen her as a harlot. However, she knew that sooner or later she would have to, after all, the full moon was approaching soon... She sighed. She continued to listen to their conversation. He's going to see the General? she thought for a moment before she could collect herself as the Rune Knight replied. "I don't think that's the word I ought to be using," she muttered so quietly under her breath. For some reason, she doubted the very idea of someone actually coming here to kill her, but for some reason, those assassins were... different. They weren't the same as the earlier ones. Something felt off about them, after all, the arrow she shot at them had been the guarantee that they would instantly die, but they didn't. Were they... the people of Tenarin? They did attack me back at the border of the two kingdoms so why should they stop? she thought, again restless as her eyes caught sight of Keira's bloodied up sash that covered the bleeding that was coming through. Sayuri almost took a step back in surprise to Shura's glance and almost flared, sensing the feeling that he didn't need her. However, he still spoke to her to follow him and calling her "my lady healer." She wondered if that was a bad or good thing, seeing as he had seemed annoyed moments earlier about her restraining him. Perhaps, she shouldn't have done that... She snapped her head up at the request and she bowed slightly to the Rune Knights before running off after Shura, and saying a soft, "Thank you," before following after him. She followed after him until they came to his room again, closing the door behind her. Cautiously, she stepped towards Shura with a somewhat worried voice, "Are you all right Shura? You're... bleeding quite heavily..." |

After holding up his battered body for so long, he stumbled towards the bed and sat heavily on it, taking in a few deep breaths to calm his ragged breathing. His brows furrowed in concentration, as if he could make an effort to ease the paralyzing pain all over his body. "Oh yes, I am perfectly fine. Peachy," he muttered breathlessly. He was feeling cold. Aside from that, he was unwilling to acknowledge the dizzy spells that probably indicated he had lost a little too much blood. Shura had fought in a war before. Complaining or telling another about how much he was suffering was out of the question. It became somewhat of a habit to deny that he was in pain. "You might want to leave the door open, or others may get the wrong idea." Carefully, he sat up and slowly peeled off Keira's sash, along with his clothes. He winced and swallowed a groan when every movement caused jolts of pain through his body. For every small shift, he had to pause and hold still for the pain to reside before continuing with the slow process of removing his clothes. It felt more like peeling his own skin.... "Crazy assassins," he grumbled. "It's broad daylight for god's sake!" Well, he was ashamed that he couldn't hold them back. But he didn't have to admit that. "My wounds are all yours, my lady. Do your worst." Not to mention receiving help from his charge... how humiliating was that? And if his malfunctioning brain could just stop making him want to feel cozy around her.... What in hell is wrong with you? Stupid deamon. |

Sayuri followed him over to the bed and stood a bit of ways as her face flushed slightly pink, were not she was trying to imagine what he would look like completely healed but the color vanished upon the bloodied sash and such as they lay on the ground. "All right... I suppose," she muttered as she flung her fingers with a flurry of blue light towards the door and the door swung open gently, leaving it open just enough so one could peer in to take a glance at what she was doing. "But, I think it'd be strange to perform magic while others could be watching..." she paused but shook her head. She was used to this, but the reason she felt uneasy was because this place had people who were against magic, like the assassins who came to try and kill her for instance. "Never mind..." another pause. "Well, theoretically, I'm weaker in the daylight than I am at night," she said softly as she stood in front of him. "And my goodness, my healing isn't cursed that it's actually 'doing my worst'." She quoted it in the air with her fingers. "But that doesn't mean I'm not strong in the daylight." Sayuri walked forward and muttered a soft, "Excuse me," before continuing as she began the process of removing his bandages. For some reason, her movements seemed as though they were seductive, her fingers icily cool against Shura's burning skin. When she crawled onto the bed, she began to unravel the wet bandages that covered his back, Sayuri almost seeing a vague image of a burn scar... With all of the bandages removed, she quickly sucked the possibly infectious diseases in the air into an orb in her hand, for the moment... She came off the bed to again step in front of him, the orb hovering next to her. Her fingers then quickly touching the air, came a brown, leather bag that smelled sharply of herbs amongst other things. "Mainly herbs," she said briskly as she opened the bag and pulled out a herb. Her fingers crushed it and a blue light flickered like flame as it licked it up, changing it from leaves to a soft colored powdered green dust, almost like small jewels. "This will just numb your skin a little... so it won't hurt." With a gentle blow, the green jewel-like dust flew gently around him, landing on the wounded areas like a fly stuck on fly paper. Ironic. Then the orb that had been left hovering for a moment, shattered, leaving nothing on the ground as a soft gentle breeze blew by, from no where but it blew around them for a moment before settling down. "Excuse me a moment," she said with a soft blush but it quickly vanished as her healer side took over, her shy and wide eyes softened into hazy, dreamy like eyes that seemed to draw any man in, but inside those eyes lay wisdom that didn't seem to belong to this kind of girl. Her eyes weren't trying to seduce anyone, simply having the sudden aura of sudden wisdom beyond her age. Placing her hands on both sides of his shoulders, she leaned forward and kissed softly on both sides of his cheek, leaving behind a flicker of a blue symbol of the Mage's Healing symbol. Then once more she kissed on his forehead. He would have only a moment to react before the flickering of magic began to dance across his skin. A mystical symbol shaped of a tear drop appeared on her forehead as she closed her eyes, a slight ominous glowing touching her skin. "Relax," she murmured in case he stiffened. However, the voice was not her own but of a deeper kind, though oddly still sounding like her. Her hair lifted slightly as the magic from the kissed areas began to flicker once more and then, with her eyes still closed, she began to touch his arms with a single butterfly kiss. Each touch was the same, releasing the same feeling as she had when she first tried to make it so that the pain was not there the night before. When she finished the front, she opened her eyes slightly, revealing a flaming ruby as she moved so that she sat behind him on the bed. By now, Shura's body muscles would have completely relaxed, enjoying the healing as if were a very, very good massage. Sayuri's fingers continued to dance across his back, patching up his skin and healing up the skin that had been burned as well as the apparent whip marks across his back. She kept mental note of the vague outlines of some sort of... mark or Rune scar but then pushed it aside, not knowing if it was of importance or not. When she was done, her fingers finished the touch by dancing slowly up his back and as she moved herself off from behind him, to the front of him. Then, her hands both then rested on his shoulders again as she again leaned forward and kissed his forehead, the marks disappearing along with the soft and warm kiss. Gentle steam released from his body, taking with it any impurities that was in his body. By then, Shura's body for sure should have felt as if he had been refreshed, like he had been completely cleaned, relaxed, and had been very well-rested, and still as if his body was raring to go, his body ready for any sudden action that Shura may have planned. If he wanted to go to combat, his body was in the most tip-top shape it's probably ever been in and etc. As Sayuri opened her eyes, the mark on her forehead then faded out slowly as she looked to Shura. She smiled shyly, her gaze checking over his body, noting that anything that looked like a wound was healed, besides the long-time scars that had been there. There was a silence as she gazed over her work before she suddenly spoke up, her voice suddenly seemingly more soft than before as the small display of fireworks of magic that had healed him had been quite splendid, although not bright enough to stir anything, "The steam took away any impurities in your body..." and small pause before she was bold enough to look to his face for his reaction, "Do you feel better? Do you still feel any pains anywhere?" Edited by DarkAngel013, Apr 14 2009, 02:17 AM.

He had never expected kisses. Ever. His breath hitched and wanted nothing more than to shift back and away from her confusing gestures. But he couldn't quite move.... His insides churned uncomfortably at their proximity. The light fragrance that surrounded her invaded his senses like a stunning punch in the nose. Not because it was too strong, but because a sudden rush of adrenaline magnified his senses. Not even her magic was powerful enough to distract him. When she finally moved away, he breathed in sharply, desperate to regain some sense in his scrambled mind. Just as he thought it was all over, her gentle touch stroked his skin so softly, so slowly that it sent blood rushing up his head and to the places she had touched. He coudln't think straight- whatever sense he had been trying to grasp was gone in an instant. This baiting torture- light touches that set a sort of desire ablaze, but not quite real enough to satiate the need to feel more, was driving him into a silent struggle to stay still. Or at least, not shiver at her every single ministration- shivers that were not caused by the cold. It felt even worse when he could feel his body recovering rapidly, making his back itch a little. Everything about her was just making his body itch to move and- and- well, do something. Holding himself strictly still and determined to keep his unruly thoughts aside, he merely stared at her wide-eyed when she came to kiss him again. He could only stare at her even as she had already finished. The spell was broken when she spoke, and he blinked a few times to collect himself. Rising slowly from the bed, with golden eyes never leaving her face, Shura stepped slowly towards her. He didn't stop when their distance shrank and their bodies almost touched. Instead, he took her arms and backed her towards a wall. He didn't care if someone was looking through the door. She needed to know what she was doing to him. His eyes darkened dangerously as they drifted to her lips before taking in her features in a deliberately slow pace. Their bodies just touching and he was careful not to press. "Are you trying to seduce me, mage?" he asked softly, gazing at her straight in the eyes. The gold in them had darkened to a warm transparent hue. It made him appear almost hungry for her. "If that is how you heal... I suggest you let the royal healers take care of me.... And I wonder... not to offend you, but... how many men have you kissed? And how many had fallen under your spell." |

Sleepy Inspiration
|
Sayuri suddenly felt flushed at what she's done, only to begin stepping back when Shura began to take steps towards her until he grabbed her arms and backed her up to the wall. Her face burned bright red at the closeness that they had, her eyes glancing nervously towards the door. Where his arms touched, her skin burned. She could feel his body heat coming off his as their bodies nearly touched. Either she had lost her mind or she had suddenly lost her nerve, either or, his scent was so close to her, the adrenaline suddenly pumping through her veins. Her heart pounded against her chest as she gaze up at the man she just healed. She felt his body against her's, not so much as pressing against her own; she could feel his hot breath near her face. She watched his eyes drink in her features, blushing furiously as the blush traveled passed her ears to her neck, and wondering what on earth he was thinking about. "I-I have a name you know," she managed to retort, her eyes half-closing as if she could already... Her face appeared so sensual it would have sent anyone the blush to their cheeks. "A-And I wasn't!" His golden eyes peered into her own, her eyes suddenly beginning to explore his features as well. She was slowly losing herself. Why? She had only met the male awhile ago and now they were here... in... this position... So close... yet so far. Her heart pounded rapidly against her small frame, the adrenaline pulsing even more, causing her to smell the aroma from his manly body, causing her to blush even harder, especially when she looked up at his eyes again. Just from that gaze alone, she felt hot and her face tried so hard not to show it, but it failed miserably. "I... I can heal... in... different ways," she managed to huff out, "it's just that, that was the best way to heal most of your severe injuries the quickest... and... I've never even had my first kiss yet!" Her mind barely was able to think clearly, his scent clearly clouding her mind. Her mind could barely remember now, the number of men she had helped heal; what with his body so close, his hot breath that brushed by her face. Everywhere, her body prickled with hot fire, slightly aroused by the sudden closeness to the male. Although he did not meant to "offend", she felt offended likewise, because, like she said earlier, she had not even had her first kiss yet. And she was pretty sure Shura had his fair share of kisses already and then slowly began to snap out of the drunken trance that Shura held her in. Her face continued to burn furiously as she continued to hold her gaze into his golden orbs. Her defiance appeared as she began to focus herself. She had quickly remembered the memories of the men trying to assault her back at the castle. Oh, the number of them... Her blush was still in her cheeks, but she tried to struggle now to move away from his grip, and she spoke tersely, although still with a hint of a bit of a weak voice in there, "Let me go." He took the liberty to watch her blush spread and see the effect of his presence immerse her easily into a warm drunken stupor. His breathing hastened just slightly and every breath he drew was deeper; his heart, though beating steadily seemed to pump more blood, warmed by desire into his sytem- all of this just by watching her melt. Oh he could almost taste her just by breathing close, feel the warm feather light touches of her own breath on his skin. Her voice filled his mind as if it was the only thing he could hear, aside from the pounding of his own heart. But even as he took a generous wiff of such... exquisite wine, he was careful to keep a firm control over himself. She was still his charge after all. And this, he reminded himself, that it was merely a demonstration- giving her a little taste of what she was previously doing to him. His eyes never left hers as he listened, noticing that those dark ruby orbs darkened just a fraction before her eyes slid half shut in her current daze. He heard her stutter and blurt out some of the silliest words. Good to know... that two can play this game. "Never had a kiss?" he murmured, ignoring her request to free her. Instead, he pressed closer and his eyes drifted to her lips again. It was tempting. Yet the lingering doubt he had for her words made him want to taunt her. Shura lowered his head, his lips nearly brushing her own, and breathed, "This, is what you are doing to me. So if you wish for me to stop, don't do it." Then he pulled away, took a few steps back and released her. The sudden distance brought a rush of cold air against his heated skin. Without another word, he turned and approached the wardrobe to pull on a fresh set of clothes. Edited by Seiss, Apr 14 2009, 04:52 AM.

Sleepy Inspiration
|
Sayuri didn't flinch, as if her body knew what her mind did not. Nothing made sense anymore and Shura did not obey her by letting her, instead, he pressed closer, this time, catching her off guard and her face flushed once more deeply. "Y-Yes, I've never had one," she said, turning her head away but when she turned to face him again, her breath escaped her lips and she dare not breath as his lips brushed her's, setting everything she knew on fire. Her mind immediately disappeared and she could no longer think properly... somewhat. She heard him speak but knew that the way she healed of that way was no longer possible. That had been the most effective way to heal many of her people; men, women, and children alike. But of course, this wasn't home. As he pulled away, she almost felt the sudden longing to continue but let out a soft gasp when she felt the cold air suddenly rush in place where Shura once stood. She felt herself began to breathe again as her legs gave out and she landed on the ground. The kiss was... not a kiss yet it was one. She put both her hands to her lips, replaying the scene of that moment again. Her face blushed furiously when she had taken a glance at Shura's back, turning away suddenly. That moment that they had had taken everything from her legs so when she tried to stand, she was unable to stand properly before she fell back down. She grunted softly, feeling the familiar pain in her knees. That thing made me jelly-legs?! NO WAY?! she thought to her dismay. Yes, it was her first, but there was no way... from what she assumed about him, to believe. After all, she had acted somewhat forward... She sighed when she realized that Shura must think her probably very experienced with men and she scoffed as she tried to hold herself up using the wall. She had the opposite experience... if it weren't for the fact that he hadn't exactly assaulted her, she would have been flooded with those... memories which left a bitter thought. Because of that, she was able to walk, but stumbled as she hit a chair's foot, and grunted again. The magic flickered instantly and the pain quickly ceased. Now, she could walk slightly steadily towards the door and said briskly that it came to the point that almost sounded incoherent, "I'll see you later." At the end, it sounded slightly irritated, as if she should have spoken more clearly. Her face was now as red as her maroon hair, probably darker as she left the room and walked back towards her room. However, before she could really get to her room, she felt herself tense up. The Palace seemed... eerily quiet. She hated it. She closed her eyes a moment to listen in, as she did back at home. Nothing. She was startled. There usually was something going on, but there was nothing. She glanced at the Rune Knights who were taking a walk by the court yard... something felt wrong... Very, very wrong to her and she didn't know why, scaring her but she kept her cool as she ran towards her room and shut the door behind herself, almost becoming hysterical. She locked the door and leaned against the bed as she fell to rest, hugging her knees to herself as she sat on the floor. Wide-eyed, she stared at nothing in particular in front of her and rocked back and forth and she muttered over and over again for awhile, "Not again, not again, not again..." Then she buried her face into her knees and arms. There was no way she was going to show this side to anyone; ever as she cried softly to herself... |
