He stared at her. What? Does she read minds too? Angered that she would actually deny him his privacy, he retorted with a much colder tone, "Then your king must be a weakling, or an impossibly kind ruler. Kind rulers never survive for long, so I assume it's the latter. In all honesty, I am feeling quite insulted with what Rania has presented us with- you, their mage, with no escort. Perhaps they wish you to be dead so they could blame your loss on us?" Not far, horses reared and neighed, shuffling and pawing the earth while their riders pulled out their shields. They all gave the girl one odd glance before the familiar presence of their counter magicks, weilded by strangers alerted them of the incoming barrage of the arrows. One caught sight of their first captain in command holding up his blade and all of them instantly spurred their horses to a full gallop towards them. Waving and twisting his blade to deflect the arrows, he backed his horse slowly towards the mage, but was one step late. A shot hit her from the back. When she fell, all he could manage was to shield off any more arrows coming her way. Well, he should just keep the arrows off her for now and see if she was alright later. "Protect the ambassador!" Shura signaled while shouting the order. His men complied without question, urging their horses to hurry to their places, while shields were raised to defend not themselves but the girl mage. A few arrows had already lodged themselves on the exposed shoulders and unarmoured legs of his men, but they stood firm and deflected what they could. "Tell the foolish girl to stop shooting!" Jegan shouted over the din of clashing missles upon shields. "Every shot of those magic will just give the rebels more fire power!" "Can't! We wouldn't know where they are if she stops!" Twisting his waist sharply to avoid an arrow he couldn't catch, Shura flicked the hilt of his blade and rested its base along the length of his arm, using it as a shield. "Jegan, you know where they are! Get two men to follow and take them out. I'll worry about things here." Nodding, he shouted for two Knights and rode off towards the forest's edge, dodging arrows and using whatever burst of magical signature to work as a shield. Shura dismounted with a flare of his cloak and slipped into the circle of Knights.Though the girl was down, he sensed a bundle of energy at the brink of release and acted quickly upon it to draw a circle around her with his rune blades. The moment her burst energy was freed, a good amount escaped but when the remaining wind's powerful current touched the circle's edge, it died along with its howl. He shuddered when his body absorbed her magic and brought life to the scars on his back. "Be ready to ride. I have enough to put everything around us to a standstill for awhile." After a short pause, a mild insiduous ripple spread from him and across the land. The wind stopped blowing, branches of trees and leafblades of grass froze. Sound was suddenly silenced. He knelt down by her side and held her up by her shoulders, inwardly wincing at the brusing tattoo on her back. "Hey, are you alright?" Resting her against his leg, he pulled up her fallen cloak and buckled it back across her shoulders. "There's going to be a never ending fight if we don't get you to the royal grounds. I apologize for my misconduct, but we have to go." He didn't bother with her permission, instead, Shura made sure that her cloak was wrapped around her before lifting her up onto his arms and mounted his horse. Unaccustomed to having another rider, especially an injured lady, he wasn't too sure where he should put her. Usually, he would simply remove his cloak and use it to strap an injured to his back, but he wasn't too keen on having her shield him. That would defeat the purpose of his task. Now that she was injured, his General, no doubt, would want him punished. Eventually, he settled with shifting back and placing her infront while he held his reins and nudged his horse to a walk. Sleepy Inspiration

She flinched at the anger in his voice as well as the coldness but she just simply replied, "I'd rather die then be escorted by those who mock the very essence of who I am and bully me until I have nothing left to treasure." She closed her eyes with a tired expression. When the commanding officer came to her aid and stopped it from becoming something huge from her explosion, she had the huge urge to tell him to stop or to stroke his face at that simple matter, even though he was her enemy. Something about him felt oddly similar to her but she couldn't figure out what.
The bruise on her back continued to spread, covering more than half of her tattoo. Her eyes flickered open for a moment as she said with a bitter laugh, causing her to double over in pain, "Is that a rhetorical question?" She felt the warmth of the cloak encircle her and noticed that it was her own, tattered but nonetheless her own. She had been expecting his own but quickly destroyed the thought. Why would he help an enemy like her anyway, despite her appearance.
"Misconduct...? Is... that what it is...?" she said with a slurred voice, as if drunk on the magick that was trying to heal her, and giggled quietly. When she felt that she was placed in front of him, she rested herself against his chest, relieved to be able to relax without straining to keep herself up right. Her eyes closed, her magick began to flicker again, to heal across the cracked bone in her arm and then moving on to heal her back, though with much difficulty, resulting sparks of blue light flickering out from her injuries. During this time, her eye-brows narrowed slightly as she mumbled with a sharp voice, "Shut up you moron... there's no way in hell I'd go bow my head at a bunch of girls who think they are above everyone else..." Her mumbling seem to tell those who listen that she was asleep and was dreaming... a nightmare. "No, I will not!" A pause. "Why do so many people look down on me...? Why do so many think that I should be burned off alive somewhere in a hole where no one can find me? Why am I born..." The last question she mumbled seemed more of a statement then a question about herself. She mumbled again when she said, "If they expect that I get royal treatment here, they're wrong... I'm just treated as though I was some sort of creature that doesn't belong here and that they need to pity me or humiliate me." She was beginning to cry in her sleep and sweat began perspiration on her forehead as she tried to fight her nightmare. Her broken arm was healed but her bruised back was barely touched, with the color of dark blue touching across her skin. "I'm fine, despite all these meager injuries, as long you're at my side, Yuuki..." Her last words were whispered with such gentle words, such softness that it seemed to come from the very depths of herself. "No one left... no one left..." Those words she kept mumbling until her magick gave up on trying to heal her back and disappeared. Her eye-brows furrowed again as a memory began to play in her mind... Her magick still sparked a few blue sparks every once in awhile, trying to see if it can heal it or not. Since she was asleep, not completely shutting off her magick, she let flickers of the images of her dream out... Holding her staff in her hands that rested on her lap, without doing anything to it, it changed back into a smaller, more convenient form of more of a pen with a thin silver bracelet hooking around her wrist. "Don't Sayuri!" a voice called out, in time to stop her from doing anything stupid, like beating up a noble girl who had just insulted her. "Why? She had insulted me enough for an entire lifetime!" Sayuri exclaimed, with hurt and angry ruby eyes, tears forming at the edge. She bent over, putting her head between her knees and wrapping her arms around herself. Her shoulders shook as she cried. A female appeared with white hair and stroked her head, calming her down. Sayuri had appeared to be sixteen at this time while this woman was at least in her early thirties. The image flickered out to another one, younger... much younger. "Miss, your daughter has been selected as one of the few to enter the Mage training," a soldier said to the same white-haired woman. The woman had dropped the dish she was holding, her face pale. Then several emotions flickered across her face until her eyes spotted Sayuri, who was only five at the time, appeared. The woman bent down and wrapped her arms around her and lifted her up onto the table, resting her there as the woman mumbled to the soldier, "And there's no way I can disobey this order?" The soldier shook his head. "But she's only five!" She sighed with a sad expression, hugging Sayuri close, who looked up with frightened ruby eyes. Something flickered in that instant and then the image faded out. Another image appeared but it was silent, with no sound. A girl with dark maroon hair had her face covered by her hair, unable to see through it to see the sobbing face over the white cat with a blue ribbon and silver ribbon lay. Her shaking shoulders and the way the light reflected, showed as though it was a sad moment. Such a sad emotion washed over the memory, enough to cause Sayuri to awake again with a slight groan. "How long have I been out?" she asked, her voice hoarse from lack of water. Edited by DarkAngel013, Mar 14 2009, 11:24 AM.

Whatever it was the Ranian king was plotting when he sent this mage off alone to the borders of two countries, Shura was having none of it. He knew the General would inform their lordship of the implications. Perhaps then, he would find out the truth. Her eyes flickered open for a moment as she said with a bitter laugh, causing her to double over in pain, "Is that a rhetorical question?" Faint amusement flasged past his mind, but it vanished too fast for him to produce a smile. Returning his blade to its sheath, Shura hurried his horse to a gentle trot when Jegan and the two Knights joined them with five rebels, bound and leashed to the saddles of their rides. They tottered and stumbled, trying to keep up to avoid falling and being dragged all the way across the coarse ground while their captors rode. "We've got quite a catch today- bandits and rebels. Are you certain that she's the ambassador?" Jegan inquired, running his gauntlet hand through his short black hair to brush off a few leaflets. "Is she injured?" "She has presented me with Rania's document of royal decree, so I suppose that's a yes," he replied curtly. "And yes... her back is bruised, maybe some broken bones.... Did you get all of them?" Tilting his chin to the man tied to his saddle, Jegan exhaled in frustration. "I highly doubt that, Shura. This is apparently just a small disposable squad to the rebels. A little taste of torture should force the truth out of them. If not, we'll go hunting." He sighed mock disappointment at Shura's answer to the mage's condition. "You are getting the two of us in trouble again...." Shura was about to give a light retort when the mage's delirious cries stuck a plug in his throat. His blood ran cold for a brief second and he had to swallow to get his throat working. Are all mages this fragile? "I'll be damned!" he cursed and kicked his horse roughly. The stallion screamed a shrill whinny before leaping forth to a gallop. His grip tightened on the reins while his other arm looped around her waist pressed her close to his chest, trying to minimize any movements that may worsen her injuries. "I'm getting her to the royal grounds as fast as I can! Report to the General for me, Jegan!" ----- He knelt on one knee, a few feet from the bed, head bowed just slightly, in a ceremonial position of how a guard would wait upon his charge. It hadn't been long since Jegan reported to their General and the hardened man instantly ordered them both- his captains to wait on the mage as a small portion of their punishment for failing their duty. "How long have I been out?" she asked, her voice hoarse from lack of water. An elderly healer with silver hair combed neatly back patted her shoulder with a warm smile. "Out for a couple of hours. All is well, you didn't hurt yourself too badly. Here, drink." He handed her a clear glass, filled with warm transparent gold fluid. "It's honey." Edited by Seiss, Sep 12 2009, 04:59 AM.

Sayuri looked at the glass filled with the honey, and took it, and drinking down the sweet beverage. When she finished, she looked around her for a moment before starting to speak again, her voice now clear and soft as it was before. "Where am I?" she asked the healer, surprised to be sitting on a bed. "How much injury did I have left?" She stopped asking her questions when she noticed the man kneeling down on one knee before her as one did for their charge or lady and such. "Are you the commanding officer who um... saved me?" she asked tentatively. Being just awoken to a strange place, she wasn't sure where she was, but the place was flooding with people with anti-magick spells lingering all over them... She nearly started choking when she realized where she was. The Royal Palace? So fast? Who on earth could have gotten me... here so fast... she thought, knowing that there was no way that they used magick of any sorts to transport her. Her ruby eyes looked around herself but could not, really focus on anything. Everything seemed hazy, as though her magick was still sparking everywhere in her body without control. She clenched her teeth a moment and her vision cleared, finally feeling her magick was now controlled well. She looked at the pair before saying, "I'm going to get my bag and change myself out of these clothes... am I going to be needed to see the King, now that I'm awake?" At the mention of the word "king" she suddenly felt nervous. What was she supposed to say? She was never good in front of the king back at Rania, so how would she act towards the king here at Tenarin, especially since they are the very ones who both hate each other so... Nervously, she opened up the hole with her left hand, the glowing ball of light appeared and she reached her arm inside and pulled out a bag, and as soon as the bag was pulled out, the ball of light disappeared. Suddenly, she tensed as she glanced in the direction of the healer, who seemed alarmed but calmed down, but was now a bit more cautious towards her. She sighed. "How much injury did I have left?" "Just a few bruises, nothing to worry about." The healer took the empty glass carefully and returned it to the table. "Are you the commanding officer who um... saved me?" she asked tentatively. Hardly. The healer told me you only sustained minor injuries. He nearly rolled his eyes at her question. Of course, he had no one to blame but himself for his rash actions. He had panicked and used something that should only be reserved for extreme emergencies. How else could he have gotten her to the Royal grounds in such a short time? The consequences weren't pleasant. If she could read his mind, he had better put on more guard. Or... I can just use it against her. "Yes I am, my lady," he replied in monotone. She looked at the pair before saying, "I'm going to get my bag and change myself out of these clothes... am I going to be needed to see the King, now that I'm awake?" Actually, the King wanted to wait for you to recover and have your wits about you before he sees you- which does include proper clothes that cover your body, but the sooner the better? "Yes, if you feel that you are ready," Shura said simply. "However, the King has requested for you to change into something that is more acceptable in our culture." Jegan shot his friend an odd look before hastily returning his gaze to the floor. Was Shura planning to anatogonize the mage? Rising slowly to his feet and retreating two steps back, Shura straightened himself and looked at her. Jegan quickly followed suit and nodded for the healer to leave the room. Soom after, two maids in decorative, yellow gowns entered, holding up folded fabrics of pale pink lined with maroon and brown. "We will see you out side once you are dressed." With that, Shura turned and left briskly, Jegan following wordlessly. He spared her a sympathetic glance and shut the door behind them. The maids held up the gown and let the fabric unfold in a smooth ripple. It had long sleeves with gentle flares at the end. Though it had a vintage v-neck, there was another inner garment of a darker shade to ensure that it covers up. None of the girls dared to say a word. Instead they merely looked at her beseechingly and waited. |

Sayuri could hear that this guy, the commanding officer named Shura?, if she heard right, was being a jerk. Though he tried to hide it behind that expression on his face, she knew he was trying to antagonize her. Oh, he was just acting like those fools back at her home castle! And even worse, she has to change into clothes that were not her own. She stood up, finding herself able to stand. She snapped at Shura's leaving back, "Fine, be a jerk and see if that'll get you anywhere! You're just like the bullies back at Rania!" Her eyes felt like burning but let it sting as she noticed that the other officer with Shura glanced at her with a sympathetic look and for some reason, relaxed a little. No tears fell, but she sighed, calming herself down and glanced at the maids, who flinched. "I won't hurt you," she said softly, her eyes glancing at the gown they held for her. She smiled a small smile, and said, "After all, I'm a maid, just like you..." She paused as she took another glance at the dress and said, "The dress is very pretty, but it looks suffocating... is the dress really acceptable in this culture of Tenarin?" She hated dressed that suffocated the air of her, especially around the neck. She was raised as a maid so fine clothes just doesn't seem to go with her very well, but after taking the Mage Entrance Exam, she began to wore fine clothing but did not like the stiffness it brought. She touched the gown, surprised at the light weight it held. "I'm going to change into it, seeing as I have no choice in the matter," she said with another sigh, as she began to strip, revealing beautiful ivory skin and the slightly glowing tattoo on her back. She covered herself as she gently grabbed the gown and placed it over herself. She pulled up her long dark maroon hair to reveal her back that was covered up by the gown and said, "You know, back in my country, if we showed our bare back to a man, we'd have to marry him, but seeing as I'm not in my country, I don't think it applies... oh, would one of you mind pulling on one of the ties there? Thanks." She felt the tug and then walked over with slight awkwardness towards the mirror in the room and sat down before the vanity. Her index finger touched the air and drew hair accessories to put into her hair and left it hovering there as she pulled up her hair into a stylish bun. Sticking the simplistic hair accessories where they should belong, she then worked onto cleaning her face, adding bits of things to make her appear as if she hadn't been traveling at all, leaving her face even more beautiful than ever. She stood back up, no longer like the baby-faced young woman earlier, but now a real adult-like woman, who now is actually looking 20. "How do I look?" One of the maids dropped her mouth in surprise, only to close it when she realized she was staring. Sayuri blushed, making her seem like a blushing bride. "You're amazing, ma'am, how did you do that?" one of them asked, breaking the fear that they might have had for her. Sayuri smiled genuinely for the first time, "Make-up... perhaps I should teach it to you girls sometime in the future?" They nodded their heads, until the other remembered that Shura and the other officer were standing outside. Sayuri glanced at the girls for a moment and asked in a soft voice, "What are their names?" The maids looked at each other and looked back at Sayuri, to whisper back, "Shura is the commanding officer and Jegan is the second-in-command officer of the Rune Knights, that serves the king." Sayuri took this into mind and nodded her thanks and paused before the door. If Shura was going to act like a jerk to her, then so shall she. Pulling herself into a cool, and blank expression, she looked even more mature than ever as she pulled the door open. She knew how to be business-like when the need calls for it. She stepped out, her hair pulled up neatly as it should befit a lady of Tenarin's inner court, her dress done in a well-mannered fashion and simply the way she held herself, made her seem more adult-like than ever, not even remotely the same as she was before, wearing the clothes she felt the most comfortable in. She snapped at Shura's leaving back, "Fine, be a jerk and see if that'll get you anywhere! You're just like the bullies back at Rania!" His brow raised a fractionn at her tone, but the door had closed before he could see her face to see the childish act that he asssumed she was putting on. "Shura, what are you thinking?" Jegan frowned at his friend, disappointment slipping beneath the confusion. "I am sure she hasn't done anything to you to deserve that." Stepping away from the doors, Shura sighed and folded his arms. "No? I highly doubt that she is really here to look for that missing mage. Rania sent a temptress, Jegan. Not a mage of their court," he muttered in disgust. "Be careful. Something that appears beautiful may be something hideous underneath." "And your rationale is to torment her?" "My rationale, captain, is to drive her off Tenarin. Perhaps Rania would send a more appropriate mage the second time." Jegan breathed in deeply, held the breath for a few seconds, before blowing it out. He couldn't argue with Shura, because he had to admit that Shura's suspicions may be right. The girl was far too pretty to not attract trouble. He couldn't help but wonder if the king would be swayed by her beauty. "Well bless her." He offered a pained smile to his friend. Something sleek and glistening caught his eye and he stepped closed to Shura's shoulder to inspect it. "You missed a... feather...." He picked the three inch long feather of black and gold and held it up for Shura to see. "Maybe... there is another reason why you don't like her? And... I suspect this is what the General is so furious about?" Jegan's frown deepened into one of concern. For a brief moment, Shura regarded his friend wistfully. "I am angry with myself. I made a mistake. It has nothing to do with her. And yes, the General is furious because of that." He reached out and took the small feather, before crushing it in his fist. Then the door opened and the two men found themselves staring, dumbstruck by the flawless beauty of the girl. Oh hell, what was the point of dressing her in modest clothes when she still looked like that? Shura's golden eyes darkened with shame and faint rage as he looked away. So this was how she was going to play it? Use her beauty? "The King is waiting," With a nudge to break Jegan from his trance, he turned in a flurry of his maroon cloak and headed briskly off towards the hall. Jegan glanced at Shura's retreating back before directing his gaze firmly on the polished marble floor. He tried hard not to stare and it was the best he could do."After you, my lady." |

Sayuri could automatically sense the uneasiness and surprise and rage from Shura all at once before just settling with something of distance from her. Her sharp eyes noticed the remnants of a yellow somethings on the floor... it moved with her movements and she decided that that must have been a feather crushed. But, why was such a lovely feather destroyed? But of course, finding out the origin of this feather would be difficult, what with so many birds out there... but it had such a pretty feather and a unique feel to it, that she couldn't help but hold onto it. Whispering, she pulled the pieces of the broken feather together again, and floated gently into her hand, without anyone's notice. She slipped it into her sleeve, making sure that it stayed with her and was invisible to everyone else besides herself; she wanted to see what creature did the feather belong to. When Jegan kept his eyes focused on the floor, she knew that she had put on too much. But what was she supposed to do? If she were to go without make up, then she'd appear too young, but with it, she'd appeared as if she was here to tempt someone. How annoying. As she walked passed Jegan, she whispered a gentle thank you. "Shura, if you don't like my appearance, just say so," she said, her voice low, but it was clear enough for him to hear as she had followed after him. "But, I guess you wouldn't understand or even try to, especially since you already have a face that fits your age whilst mine does not, with or without any kinds of make-up..." The stinging already came to her eyes again, but she will not cry; she hasn't cried since she lost her dearest and closest friend she could ever have and she held it in, by covering her face for a moment, and pulling her hands away. If she were to be caged up again, she will definitely cry again. Her freedom... was so precious to her, and it was the only place where she could feel peace and quiet, where no one could ever bother her. She could freely use her magic without anyone saying things such as how powerful it could be or how too pretty it may be. She could even freely laugh and smile without anyone to see it, after all, if she were to show herself, then surely, many will just continue to look down on her, as they always have and will probably continue to do so. Only one person has truly loved Sayuri, from the bottom of her heart. Nothing could ever replace what she loves the most in freedom: the freedom for her to be never judged or humiliated or even made fun of; she was able to be herself. Well, the hair might have been too much... after all, all my hair that's on my head is starting to cause me a headache, she thought as she reached for a hair pin and pulled it out, a thick bundle of dark maroon hair hanging down. She then pulled out another and then the same thing happened until she pulled them all out, leaving a scent of faint gardenia as the hair fell. She ran a little ahead and cautiously walked backwards to face both Jegan and Shura, saying with a shy smile, "Does this look more natural...?" After she heard their answer, her back hit the door and followed by her head, of which made a dull thunk on the door, as if it sounded like a knock. She bent down to rub her head from the sudden thrust of pain. "Ow... That door was not there before!" she hissed at it as she looked up, rubbing her head. Luckily, she had just taken off her hair accessories or that would have hurt a lot more. She stood up and looked up at the vast door and said in a suddenly small voice, "This is the King's door, isn't it." Though the words were a question, it sounded more of a statement than a question. "Shura, if you don't like my appearance, just say so," she said, her voice low, but it was clear enough for him to hear as she had followed after him. "But, I guess you wouldn't understand or even try to, especially since you already have a face that fits your age whilst mine does not, with or without any kinds of make-up..." Oh this girl had no idea. "You seem to have missed my point, my lady," he replied almost sarcastically. "But I am not one you have to worry about." He kept up his swift walk and stopped just in time when she spun around and walked backwards. Now that she had mentioned it, he couldn't help but perceive her as a child. Whether it was all an act or not, he couldn't be sure. "Does this look more natural...?" Hell... sure it looks more natural, but it doesn't help the situation when you still look desirable. Shura frowned slightly when he realized something- that no matter how modestly she was dressed, she would still look like that anyway. After a brief pause while studying her face, he nodded hesitantly, with faint despair. "Barely makes a difference, but better than nothing." Jegan only swallowed and continued to bore a hole into the floor. "This is the King's door, isn't it." "The door has always been there," Shura said in amusement and stepped to her side. "You just don't have eyes on the back of your head. Step aside please, so I can open the doors." He knocked thrice on the tall golden doors, waited for the slamming of iron on the marble floor before pressing his palms against the cool surface of the doors and pushed. From a fine line of gold, the doors swung open and the line expanded and extended to reveal an extensive hall of reflective marble floors, tall windows decorated with shimmering tainted glass, ten white pillars stood tall on either side of the curved hall with countless intricate engravings of horses and man, creatures of fantasy that spiralled their way up the three dimensional canvas. Tapestries of red and gold that bore the royal emblem hung on walls between the windows, guarded by metallic statues of armour. High above, suspended from the dome ceiling was a chandelier of glinting crystals. There was no throne, no long table or chairs. There were, however, tell tale signs of where they were before- sections of marble floor with symmetrical shapes were a shade darker, as if they were sunk into the floor. Shura walked purposefully to the centre of the hall, right above the line of marble that was of a darker shade and fell on one knee, head bowed and one hand touching the cool surface of the floor. "My lord, General, I've brought the mage of Rania." Jegan followed and mimicked Shura a few paces behind, with Sayuri between them both. Two men stood not far away, but no one could mistake the king- he stood like a dark statue, silhouetted against the bright lights that filtered through a tall window before them, dressed in fine white linen and crisp coat of brown and gold. His dark bornze hair streaked with gold was combed back to small tail at the nape of his neck. His angular face turned away from the older man and his sharp amber eyes swept over the newcomers. "A moment, General." The older man with short graying hair and eyes of brimstone nodded in reply. He was garbed in finery, but much more simplistic. "Of course, mylordship." "You have arrived, I see." The king approached slowly, his steps resembling that of a lion, but stopped when he had come to a respectable distance. "And I've heard you've stirred instant trouble the moment you set foot on my land." There was a faint tinge of amusement in his clear voice, but his face remained unreadable, unswayed by the odd appearance of the mage. "Restate your name and purpose." | |

Sleepy Inspiration
|
"Who on earth would even have eyes on the back of their head?" she said, sighing as she followed on in after Shura opened the doors. She placed her hands in front of her, holding them together. Even though she felt she ought to do something more, she couldn't find what to do and just decided to stand and act the way that she usually did back at home when meeting with the King of Rania, although, the two of them are both of completely different countries so she decided on something of just acting formal and such. When she walked inside the throne room, she was surprised at the size that the room had, noticing the empty spaces where thrones and such had once been, almost as if someone had just removed them quickly from the spot. When the two of them, Shura and Jegan had knelt down in respect, Shura had announced who he had brought, as if that wasn't obvious enough, but it was respect towards their king so she understood. Like the King of Rania, he too was undisturbed by her appearance and for once, she felt almost relieved. But stiffened up again as she usually did when talking with Royalty, especially one of the country that her own was at war with. He stepped down until he was at a respectable distance from them and spoke to her in a clear voice that she couldn't help but think of her own King. Her face became business-like, as she always did because of her nervousness. "I am Sayuri, Mage of the Kingdom of Rania and I have come to search for the lost mage that had entered the Kingdom of Tenarin." A small pause before she continued, "And I am sorry for the disturbance that I may have caused or have caused, your Highness." She took a small courtesy in respect before lifting up her head again. For a fleeting moment, she wondered if something bad was going to happen that may have caused her a mere moment of fear. Mentally, she shook it off, not thinking about it, her face remained unchanged as she continued to look at the King. Edited by DarkAngel013, Mar 20 2009, 09:43 PM.
