Faint amusement flickered across his features in the quirk of his lips and the slightest rise of his brow. The mage was having trouble recovering herself? Oh, he knew he could seduce women with considerable ease, but crumpling to the floor? That had to be the first, especially when he barely touched her. Attractive and easy to work up- what perfect combination. And, he shouldn't be thinking like a dog. Stupid hormones.

Heaving a sigh, he flexed his shoulders, relishing the wonderous release from constant pain. Well, all those kisses worked like magic. She just shouldn't have used the method.... He shook his head and banished the thoughts before leaving his chamber, planning to see the General and ask him of his decision. There was already a change he sensed in the creature that lay deep within, and it was worrying. Especially when Shura could feel its presence come to live, as if two souls were sharing the same body. There seemed to be less anger and hatred, which was extremely unusual.

---------

"I'm fine now," Resee insisted, pushing herself easily to sit up and swing her legs off the bed. "You need to stop looking at me like that."

Unable to resist a smile, Keira released a low breath of relief, exhaustion and exasperation. "Alright, but you are off duty until you injuries have healed. Do you hear?"

There were bandages wound around Resee's abdomen, right leg and arm. Underneath the neat dressing were numerous gashes and even stab wounds. Some small pieces of broken armour were even found embedded in her torn flesh. How could one not worry? Resee however, thought her sister was a worry wart in addition of being overprotective.

"I'll watch her," Jegan offered. "You love the library, don't you? I'll keep you company."

----------

With Resee under Jegan's care, Keira hurried out to seek the mage. She wasn't planning on letting her out of sight for a good long while.

It was a little odd that assassins would strike in the day....

OOC [meet Keira and they can spend the time together.]

Sayuri lifted up her head from resting it on her knees and she gazed at the wall before her. The images were so vivid, still so fresh. But, she wasn't sure why it seemed so familiar. It just felt so scary that she couldn't go further in remembering.

What am I forgetting? she thought vaguely as she stiffly stood back up again. She stretched like a cat would and viewed herself in the mirror. She looked like a mess after that, but she still felt tense. That image... what is it? Is it a vision...? No, it can't be... but... that image... I've seen it somewhere before... she thought as she absently cleaned herself up and replaced the gown she wore with another she found that was replaced on her bed.

She sighed. She wondered how much longer she was going to stay here. Her mind wandered around for a moment before she froze. I wonder how is Resee...? Is she all right from those attacks of those assassins? she thought as she walked towards the door and opened it and began to walk around the halls. She had decided that she would pull up her hair again, seeing as it would feel much more easier to handle.

She paused before a garden and gazed up at the sky and closed her eyes. The full moon was coming... she thought, reminding herself. She felt a ripple echo inside herself, as if her magic reacted to what she had just momentarily said to herself as a reminded herself. I'm going to have to ask around... Maybe one of the Rune Knights would know where I could...

Sayuri continued to wander around the castle until she bumped into someone. Hard.

"Omph!" she exclaimed, rubbing her face. She glanced up and quickly bowed while saying, "I apologize! I wasn't paying attention to where I was going..." She had noticed that it was Keira.

It was a relief that the mage had returned to her room. Keira had been worried that she would wander about, like the day before. If the assassins had struck before Jegan found her, she would have been dead.

However, the mage appeared troubled, she wasn't even aware of her presence until she collided against her armoured body. Keira didn't move away, because she was partially expecting the mage to halt. But apparently... something must be bothering her too much for her to pay attention to her surroundings.

Keira took a step back when the mage blurted her apology. "It's alright." Despite her directed words, her emerald eyes were taking in every detail of her features- anything that she could read to tap into the thoughts of the mage. Then on a completely irrelevant note, she asked, "Why isn't there any Knights with you? Why did Shura even let you walk around on your own?" Is he alright? But she kept that last part to herself. She would find out later. No need to appear worried to her charge.

Sayuri blinked for a moment before she reremembered. She tilted her head slightly as she said, "I don't know and... Shura said he was going to see the General since one of the Rune Knights told him... the healing went on a lot more successfully than I thought... Probably because of the Full Moon coming near. Oh!"

She hit her fist into her open palm, as if a light bulb went off with an idea. "Keira, is there anywhere where I could see the sky with a large water feature? Something like a large bath where you can view the night sky?" she asked, wondering if they had such a place.

Back at home, they had a female bath and a male bath, both of which were with a clear view of the large sky above them. It was for their monthly ritual... Her face didn't show anything other than that curious expression on her face referring to her question.

Keira frowned slightly, though her face remained free of emotions. The mage was thinking of a bath? There was more... more that she couldn't quite read. She knew then that she needed more time to observe the mage to understand the direction of her thoughts.

"For your safety... please don't go anywhere without at least one of us with you, my lady," she said hesitantly, still bewildered by the mage's request for an open bath. "There is a pool... not a bath, and it's in the open. It is within the care of our Researchers. You will have to seek their permission for its use."

Sayuri blinked for a moment as she collected her thoughts. "A pool is fine, I'm not actually going to bathe until the night of the Full Moon," she replied, looking thoughtful. "I wouldn't mind not going alone, although, I would like it better if at least you were there, seeing as those assassination attacks and all..."

She paused. "Researchers? Whatever for?" She needed permission? How was she going to get that? And where was this... Suddenly, she was hit with the remembering details of what she had read back in the library. Oh, the restricted section... oh the irony that I would remember that now, she thought slightly annoyed, though her face didn't show it as it still appeared thoughtful.

"How do I get permission?" she asked a moment later before Keira could respond to the first round of questions.

"It is under their care," she said with a lilt in her voice that suggests it was the most obvious answer. She had only been there twice- once for the cleansing before the branding of her rune, and the second to seal and complete the ritual. All the Rune Knights had been there at least twice in their life time as well. It was somewhat a treasured place instead of a sacred one, for it was said that the pool leaks mana on its own.

"You will have to seek out the Inscriptors- either Aurus or Orion. They are usually in their working chambers near the library." It wasn't her nature to ask personal questions, but Keira couldn't help but wonder why the mage would want to bathe in the open. She remembered that it was quite a humiliating experience to be forced to strip to her thin cotton dress- an undergarment all women always wear. Then again, she caught wind from the maids that the mage was quite a woman to flaunt her body.

As long as Shura and Jegan doesn't get their feet swept off from under them, she thought with wry amusment.

Sayuri nodded slowly, taking in the information. Was the pool some sort of sacred place she wasn't allowed to go to? But... she had to, it was required of her for once a month otherwise... She winced inwardly, remembering the one time she skipped. She didn't want to do that again. Her expression began to appear troubled, reflecting what she remembered.

She glanced up at Keira, "Right, sorry for my moment of being oblivious to the obvious answer..." She paused before continuing, "I would prefer it if it was just you Keira; I can't do it in front of men... Obviously." She smiled weakly. If she were to, it'd basically be like a proposal to that man who watched as the Ritual that she performs is very beautiful, as many of the Priestesses had often said who take care of their baths back at home. It was often something to behold, what with all that magic flying all over the place.

Then she almost frowned. She remembered something that had happened a few years ago on the night of the Full Moon. Her eyes darkened with the memory as word had gotten out that the bath had been tainted with blood. "Although, it's understandable if you need to set up... more guards... It's not safe now for me or anyone really here... Though mainly me." She felt troubled. Just when the attack came, how was she going to perform her Monthly Ritual if those kinds of people were out there? She had to, not matter what, otherwise...

"I understand your traditions and such are different here, but I really need to bathe in the moonlight when the Full Moon comes... otherwise, some things might not... 'work' properly... I guess that's the closest term to it." Her smile seemed confused, as if were Keira were to ask, Sayuri would probably only reply with a pained smile. She wasn't really allowed to explain the Ritual to those who were outside of their Mage Circle because in doing so, it would cause harm to the Mages, though in ways, Sayuri did not understand nor know. On the day and night of the Full Moon is when she is at her most powerful, when her magic would flicker to her like a moth to a light.

Sayuri looked around for a moment before realizing that the maids had been obviously been gossiping about her. They're calling me the things that I would have expected them to say... after all, the way they dress is different from ours... she thought with a sigh. If the women here think that I already dress flashy, they haven't seen anything yet. She resisted the urge to shout at the world and say that she misses home and that this place was even more of an alien than that of home, despite the bullying and such. The maids here wouldn't ever understand what kind of person she was or what clothes she would typically wear, as the castle was always constantly very warm, thanks to the magic floating around often the castle.

And besides, if they think I dress badly, they should go see some of the females back at home; Harlots the lot of them are, she thought as she remembered some more as she bitterly burned the images mentally, disgusted with the group that often wore scandalous clothing that revealed more than necessary.

If anyone were to see the full power of a Mage, one would most likely be surprised and possibly scared. She didn't blame them and there had only been one time she actually saw the full form of power of a Mage. But because of using full power, their bodies would become quickly exhausted and they could be sleeping for weeks on end, depending on the Mage's will. The mage who did go all the way, never woke up again when her pulse had slowly died out...

She had only gone halfway, never all the way. What frightened her the most out of anything else, was the thought of that she must go all the way into her power. The idea of not be able to wake up for awhile was startling and somewhat frightening, never knowing what could happen around you and all. Sayuri was afraid of what might happen if she were to, but she had thought to herself that she was not a monster but herself and knowing that when the time came for her to use her Full Power, she'll most likely be ready for it.

I can't tell Keira, as she is not a Mage or even a new Mage joining the Circle, she thought miserably. If she did, it'd probably clear up a lot of the possible questions Keira must be having about why she needed to bathe in the night of the Full Moon.

She tilted her head and looked at the mage in bemusement. "I am curious, my lady- why do you speak of things I've never asked as if they are answers, and assure me of doubts I've never revealed?" It sounded almost as if the mage was trying to clear her name of any grime.

"And I've never said you can't. I've simply said you would need to seek the Inscriptors' permission."

Sayuri just blinked as she slowly absorbed that information, then shaking her head at herself as if she can't believe it herself that she said it that way. She sighed. "Ok, I suppose, I'll just have to ask... You said they were by the library right?"

She started walking towards the library, deep in thought. She needed to start preparing herself for her Ritual. Argh, I don't have all of my supplies with me... but I guess I'll have to make do with what I have... Hmm... The staff is probably all I need anyway, the rest are mostly unnecessary things that I probably don't need, she thought.

She began to recount what she had seen of a... She stopped suddenly, looking around herself. They weren't at the library yet, but she felt something magical heading towards her, although, it wasn't fully garbed in magic... Sayuri immediately jumped up in response as an arrow appeared above her head, of which she grabbed out of the air.

"It's not an attack," she muttered and she quickly destroyed the arrow and then in place of the destroyed arrow came a parchment in its place. She frowned and opened it as she skimmed it and then groaned. Of course. She placed her hand on the wall and then began banging her head against the wall. This was ridiculous. She stopped and just glared at the wall before sighing and then continuing to walk to the library.

The parchment erupted into flames as she continued to walking, apparently not showing anything on her face although a tint of annoyance was on her face. She simply muttered, "I'm going to expect a visit soon, I hope that's all right with you, Keira." Although, this visitor probably wasn't normal anyway. In the parchment, it had said that she will arrive in the next few days and probably even today. Of course, this message was delayed, having been sent... what... a few days late? That was the reason why she groaned.

Before descending the stairs however, she stopped by a garden and gazed into the sky, and noted the stars. She saw the white the moment before the bird landed on her arm, taking note of the gloved arm that suddenly appeared. The bird rested there for a moment before walking up to her shoulder, the glove disappearing.

The bird had startling sharp and piercing golden eyes that seemed to bore straight at you, as if they knew everything that went on. The bird didn't seem to be exactly normal, with the feeling coming from it seemed mystical yet not considerably magic.

"This is Eve," Sayuri said, as she shrugged the bird off with which she landed on the ground with a flutter of her wings. "Eve is going to come with me... for the bath on the Full Moon."

Then Eve's wings almost shimmered, as if telling that there's something more than meets the eye and that she greeted Keira as well, but Eve then flew back up and landed on Sayuri's shoulder. The bird was a lot larger than the average falcon or hawk, but it was the most similar to a gyrfalcon. But the eyes were the only things that were unusual. The ruffled feathers on the bird stated that it was alarmed at something.

"What?" Sayuri murmured, stroking her feathers. She wondered what was wrong but will ask that later.

She turned and then began to head towards the library again.
