BACKGROUND/STARTING:
Rania and Tenarin (or whatever you want to call them) are two neighbouring contries in constant dispute. Rania is rich with magic users and is famed for their extensive magical knowledge. As a younger country, Tenarin is mediocre, unable to compare with the magical vaults of Rania. However, Tenarin is feared for her counter magics. Their elite warriors are forever bound to Tenarin. In order to protect their valuable knowledge of counter magic from leaking to the other countries, a curse was laid on every living being who knows of Tenarin's counter magic secrets.

Long ago, Rania's borders extended beyond the lands of Tenarin. Grand cities of beautiful architecture once stood during their glorious age. Magic flourished in Rania and the country advanced so quickly, that no army dared to challenge her. Rania's armies stood undefeated for nearly a century. Her past rulers lead her armies to sweep across the lands, gaining victory battle after battle, further extending their territory to form a great nation. However, its destruction came from within.

A minor mage from Rania's royal court schemed against the king, placing the entire royal family, along with the royal bloodline under a powerful curse. The king, who was no saint, held the country's very foundations with his magic. Rania was thus bound to him. When the mage's curse struck, Rania fell along with its king. The flow of magic faded from the great cities and a time of Darkness fell upon Rania. Buildings shuddered and collapsed to useless piles of debri, magically imbued structures failed and anything that held the great king's magic crumbled. The chaos spread across Rania due to the sudden absence of the king's magics. Mysterious plagues ensnared her people. Crops refused to grow, famine and drought followed soon after, leaving Rania in ruins.

When the miasma that hung over Rania lifted and the people had begun to rebuild their home, bandits ate away Rania's borders. Slowly, Rania shrunk and became what it is today. The royal family resumed their rule, but the curse was never lifted. Anyone with the slightest drop of royal blood in their veins would experience the slow draining of their magics, until finally, at the rough age of 25, they lose their magics completely. A younger descendant of the royal family would have to take over and the process continues.

The trouble is, the current royal family is without an heir. The current king has reached an age of 23 and his magic is fast waning. It was said that there was a seal that could break the curse, so the king sent his best mages on the search. One day, a letter to the king flew through the king's window. It bore the message of one of his royal mages sent on the search. The letter reported that the mage had found something within the borders of Tenarin. However for some unknown reason, the mage never returned to Rania and was never heard of again.

Now, the king of Rania is seeking permission with the king of Tenarin to hold the search of his lost mage. Due to existing disputes between the two countries, Tenarin would only allow one mage from Rania into their kingdom. In an effort to foster a peaceful relationship with Tenarin, the king of Rania agreed and sent a young, female mage of his court. In return, the king of Tenarin ensured that her elite troops were ready to receive and protect their guest as long as she does not breach the laws of Tenarin and the agreement of two countries.

When Sayuri discovered that she was going to be leaving her beloved country, it terrified her. After all, the Kingdom of Tenarin was against mages of any sort into their country and she was going to go alone. But of course, it was because the King personally requested it to find one of their fellow mages who had disappeared and never came back. And to add to that, that mage had apparently discovered something within the Tenarin Kingdom and Sayuri had to wonder as to how that their mage was able to cross their borders without trouble.

Then again, this was the mages of Rania she was talking about. She sighed.

She packed the little things that she already owned: her clothes, her cloak, and some hair products that she was going to use in case she might have to mee the king of Tenarin... in which case, she hopefully does not have that happen. She sighed again when she realized how tiring this whole journey might be.

Being the youngest of her generation to have passed the Mage Examination to enter the King's services, only to find that there might not be a way out of the King's court once entered. She enjoyed the nice clothing and treatment she received but she could clearly see behind their fake smiles and deceitful lies. It was horrible, that place and now the King, who was more generous than the people there, was sending her away from here. She had secretly cheered to herself when discovering this, happy that she can be finally away from the place that kept her in a cage like a bird.

How she had longed to play with her magic freely and to be able to move about with the eyes of the King or his Council watching her. Freedom was what she longed for and that's what she is getting, despite being afraid of the the Tenarin Kingdom, who were known for counter-magicks so she was basically useless in combat... that is, until the Council had discovered that she was going and had no combat skills whatsoever.

So before leaving the Kingdom Rania, several months before, she was forced to undergo training enough so she could defend herself and make her escape. Running away was something she did not like but when the situation calls for it, she will run.

She frowned. She was ready and clearly prepared, but something made her feel irked about something. The maids had been gossiping like crazy since the news that Sayuri was leaving.

Sayuri rolled her eyes when she heard what they were gossiping about. It was about her age, her looks, and how she can wield such powerful magick. Keeping herself cool, she hated how she was judged by her looks for such a frail girl that it made people feel that they should protect her when she didn't need it... well, that is until she gets to the Tenarin Kingdom.

Sayuri picked up her messenger bag and slung it over her side, more under her cloak from behind as she held her staff on the other side of her, a long silver staff with a sapphire crystal on top. As she walked out of her door, the maids stopped gossiping and turned to leave and as soon as they thought they were out of hearing distance, they began to whisper once more.

"I can't believe she's 20!"

"Really?! I thought she was 16, at best!"

"It's true, she's 20... and I heard her magick is really powerful... So powerful that the King trusts her with this kind of mission."

Sayuri rolled her eyes and moved her short stature of five foot tall towards the main gates of the castle. The maids here can get really immature, she thought with a sigh as she walked through the more or less clean halls.

"And she's beautiful to boot!"

"Yes, really! What more could that girl ask for?!"

She frowned. This piece of information was new. Didn't the maids already notice her appearance was already strange and now they are commenting on her "beauty"?

"And she looks younger than she actually is... do you think she's using magick?"

She sighed and decided to shut off her alertness of the castle and headed towards the castle's stables, picking out a stallion that would last her a long time. Once on top of the stallion, she made the horse take off to a run, taking off at full speed towards the borders of the Tenarin and Rania.

~~~
Several days later, she arrived at where she thought where the Rania Kingdom ended and began the Tenarin Kingdom. As soon as she pulled the stallion into a slow walk towards the edge, she felt a ripple of some sorts, feeling something wash over her like water, only to find that she is still dry. Flexing her fingers experimentally, she found that she was still able to use magick, despite the differences she felt in the air.
She looked around to try to find the troops that the king of Tenarin had said he would send to protect her. Immediately, she felt the sudden presence of bandits.
"Girlie, hand over your valuables!" a bandit exclaimed, roughly knocking her off the horse, her dark maroon colored hair spilling out of her cloak's hood. "Wow, it's one of those rare gorgeous girlies!"
A few more bandits appeared, all brandishing weapons she could not recognize for a moment before realizing that they were falchions. When she saw what they were doing to her beloved stallion, she exclaimed, "Don't hurt him!"
"Oy! She can talk!" another bandit said, this one with dark hair. Her ruby eyes stared daggers at the man who came close to her. She slapped his hand when he went to touch her. "Oy, oy! Don't you dare be disrespecting me wrench!"
He pulled her sharply up by the wrist, hurting her arm that made it so she yelped. Her stallion reared, trying to help his master.
OOC [writer's block....]
"The court could have just sent a carriage over to Rania to fetch the... ambassador. This- cowering at the borders to wait for them is degrading," Jegan muttered. In his annoyance, he nudged his chestnut ride harder, picking up a faster walk.
A light scoff came from his comrade. "You wanted to say witch. Besides, the General already explained to us- they are dangerous. Our lordship does not trust Ranians. You, second captain in command should know that," Shura chided in respon se, but his attention was elsewhere. His golden eyes scanned the vast plains carefully, trying to catch the slightest movements that would signal the arrival of Rania's ambassador. The hem of his blood red cloak fluttered slightly in the wind while tendrils of the breeze thread through his short raven hair. Nothing yet.
He tugged lightly at the reins of his palomino and the stallion slowed instantly. The tall grass was much shorter now and further beyond, past the borders of the two kingdoms, dry earth drew a line. A mild bud of curiosity raised questions in his mind. What were the mages of Rania like? What could they do? He understood from countless stories that they were unpredictable, unreliable, scheming... powerful. Shura couldn't understand his king, after discovering that the king of Rania had secretly sent their mages into Tenarin, would agree to anything. Why did the Tenarian king allow a mage form Rania to enter their land? Was there... something the Tenarian king didn't tell his Rune Knights?
Whatever it was... we'll have to wait till we receive this... mage.
"Shura, I think we might have vermin at our borders." Jegan nudged his shoulder and pointed to their left.
Turning to look, Shura smiled crookedly when he spotted a few figures, who seemed to be engaged in some sort of a fight. "Well we've waited for a whole morn now and they've yet to arrive. Wouldn't hurt to take out some 'vermin'."
Jegan shook his head, but the grin on his face revealed otherwise. "After you, Shura." But in a gust of wind, his horse was racing on a full gallop ahead. He was quick with executing his duty. As soon as he had reached them, Jegan reined his horse in and nudged it to a brisk trot, keeping the bandits in a tight circle.
Seconds later, Shura returned with ten of his men- armed and armoured knights. They shuffled swiftly to form a circle, trapping the bandits. A slight frown creased his brows when he caught sight of the strange girl. Blood red... hair and eyes? "Harassing a girl?" he demanded and rode in the circle himself, still peering at her odd appearance. Well, she was certainly attractive... but was there ever a human with red hair and eyes? He coudln't say.
"Men, disarm them," Shura issued an order and all elven dismounted in unision to execute.
"How can I-" Then he felt it- an familiar stir of energy. And it came from within the girl. His smile vanished and a severe expression took its place. "This is Tenarin's borders. Who are you?"
Sayuri wasn't surprised by the men's reactions to her appearance, after all, ruby eyes and dark maroon hair is rare by any means, even in her own kingdom. In fact, that might have been the very reason she became famous as one of the most powerful mages of all time. The man who was trying to help her seemed to be the leading command officer, had smiled at her before noticing the aura that came from her.
You look better smiling, she thought as she took note of the severe expression on his face.
She pulled herself up without any help from the "gentlemen" around her. She dusted herself properly before answering, much to the surprise of the men around her as she spoke in a soft melodic voice, "Yes, I'm well aware that this is Tenarin's borders..." she paused before, "I'm Sayuri, mage of the Kingdom of Rania."
Despite here appearance of being young, her words made it seem scary as to how such a small girl was a mage in the first place. Her face held nothing that gave away what she was thinking, but was replaced instead with a careful, observatory expression, her ruby eyes appearing more like jewels than anything else.
She walked over to retrieve her horse, pulling the stallion to a calm state by talking to him softly, her eyes gentle. Her cloak covered much of what she was carrying but when she lifted her hands to calm her horse, revealed a small messenger bag and a staff that was hooked into the back area of her bag. She petted his muzzle, calming him completely now as she continued to speak to it in a soft manner, surprising the men of this commanding officer's command. However, her face did not change.
Letting the information sink enough, she walked over to the saddle of her horse, and pulled herself up. As she replaced her hood of her dark brown cloak, she murmured in that same voice, "Well, are you the group whom the King of Tenarin has agreed to assign to me as I cross over the borders of Rania and Tenarin?"
Her hood then covered her ruby eyes and her face, showing nothing but shadows. She didn't like her face to be known, as many are often shocked by the color of her hair and eyes. She hated how they all looked at her and how they all think that she was pitiful to be considered a "powerful" mage. She was indeed powerful, much to the surprise of many who may think otherwise.
The mage of Rania? Of course he knew that. Anyone with that concentrated magical aura always came from Rania, but how could he be sure that she was the one chosen to come? "We were expecting an escort party," he replied with frown. "Not a girl riding out alone."
The awe from the faces of his men slowly turned to amusement and skeptism. The girl was the ambassador? They knew that Rania would be sending over a female mage, but the girl seemed far too young. In addition to the lack of escorts, her story was ridiculous. They had been expecting to receive someone more... experienced, older, wiser, basically one that looked lke a proper ambassador.
"Lady Sayuri, go home. Our charge should arrive soon enough and we are certainly not given any orders to protect the citizens of Rania," Jegan's tone was distant and cold. Back in the royal camp, girls like her would have been sent to the court, assigned to be a court maid- not exactly pleasant. Luxury was guaranteed, but men there... well they love the comany of women.
Shura leaned back on his saddle and nodded at his fellow captain. "Bind the rats to your horses." He watched his men work and resolutely kept her mind away from lingering on the strange girl's exotic beauty. Women... they were a warriror's downfall, a ruler's demonic blindfold.... "The rest of you, keep a look out for the Ranian escorts."
When his men moved out, Shura turned his horse around. "I suggest that you listen and go back."
Sayuri felt the same anger she felt back at the castle.
Of course they wouldn't think that she was the mage. Of course they wouldn't think that she had the power. Of course she didn't even remotely look the part. Of course they didn't think that a mere girl had power.
But they were always expecting an extravaganza to show off who you were. Pathetic. She didn't need that and she would rather ride off alone than face the ridicule the whole ride over. No thanks.
Something seemed to rumble in the distance... or... underfoot.
"No," she said firmly, her voice cutting edge sharp that it seemed to ring in some ears. She pulled off her hood for better focus on her target. "I am in fact the Mage that the King of Rania has sent." More rumbling was felt through the earth. "I really hope you do not judge me on my appearance, as the saying goes, 'Do not judge a book by its cover,' right gentlemen?"
Her power was beginning to escalate as if some sort of snakes began to ensnare its prey. Energy began to swirl around her as she tried to keep control of her magick energy. Even her hair seemed to move softly, even though there was no wind. Anger was hard to overcome, especially when she's judged by her appearance; her biggest annoyance. Some of the horses snorted, startled by the feeling that they felt. Her stallion's head shot up, alarmed and turned his head slightly to look at his angered rider.
Her eyes narrowed slightly, as she looked directly at the commanding officer. "I really rather you do not judge me on my appearance, but if, however, you misjudge my appearance and do not believe me, I can show you a taste of my magick that you all seemed to not believe in, and if that means a duel, then I will not fail to show you so. And if you even refuse that, I'll just make my way on my own to the King." She was keeping her magick at bay now, in case some sort of battle should start or that she might actually need to force herself through. Her control over her magick has always been more then necessary, even back at the Rania Kingdom, many of her fellow mages felt that her control over her magick was a bit too much, but she needed it. Her magick reacts totally on how she feels and if she did not control her magick, let alone her emotions, then many would have died already if she had not trained herself as it was.
She knew that when she came here, she would immediately be judged. However, what she had expected was someone who would ask her questions instead of just basing it on appearance. She withdrew her staff and elongated it to something just slightly above her height and held it at her side as she stood on her horse.
The crystal that was at the top of the staff seemed to glow as if to hold off the excess magick that was building up inside her and a soft symbol of some sort appeared on her forehead.
While his remaining men turned, ready to face the threat, Shura raised his hand and signalled for them to move on, remaining unperturbed on his frightened horse. Jegan, however, remained, a calm smile on his face. "You know, Shura. We were trained to eliminate those who are a threat to us. We are entitled to take her out, are we not?"
"Yes we are," Shura humoured his friend with a hidden smile. What matching temper, he noted with amusement. "But just in case she is the mage we are supposed to receive, do me a favour, Jegan and alert the others."
Jegan grinned and bowed in mock salute. He knew for a fact that no lone mage could take two of them, let alone all twelve- elites of the order of the Rune Knights. If that were possible, Tenarin would have fallen long ago. Kicking his stallion to a canter, he raised a hand and bellowed a command to the others and left Shura there, trusting his abilities to hold his own.
Transferring his attention reluctantly from the retreating back of his comrade to the girl. "Surely, there is no need to throw a temper when all that's needed to prove yourself is a document of decree from your king. Then again... you could have stolen that from the true ambassador. If there is such a thing, I am sure... Rania would inform us." Not really. Shura didn't trust the Ranian king or any of its people. The two countries were in constant dispute for years... trust to the enemy while his loyalty lay with his own kingdom was an obomination.
"And please, for your own safety, Lady Sayuri- while you are in our territory, keep your fiery nature in check." He smiled plainly, though challenge was present in his tone. "While you may be treated like royalty in your kingdom, you hold no power over us. Here in Tenarin, your magicks- just from one of you, is as powerless as those bandits we tied up."
Sayuri couldn't help but laugh. Laugh, of all things. It was pure humor that made her laugh, and it would have made anyone caught off guard because it was so light and free sounding that it would have made anyone surprised... giving the current situation.
"Royalty? Me being treated as royalty?" at those words, she laughed harder. Because she was laughing, the sudden aura of magickal energy disappeared along with the low rumble that was upon the earth. She laughed so hard, she fell off her horse, much to the alarm of her stallion, he moved away so he would not step on her.
When she calmed down, she stood back up, dusting herself. "Goodness, I haven't laughed that hard since... forever," she said as she finished dusting herself. "Ah, don't get me wrong, I wasn't laughing at what you said to me about killing me or whatever you wish to do with my corpse, after all, I'd probably say the same if you were in my country." With that, she sighed.
"Well, about the part where I could have stolen it? I don't think that'd be possible in a kingdom where magick is supreme," she said, holding out her staff to make it somewhat shorter. "After all, any document in our kingdom made, is only made for that certain person, where if someone were to steal something that belongs to a person, then they'd erupt in flames."
Sayuri then looked up at the stern male before her, and said, "I have proof that I'm of the King's Court, although... one such as a single man to see it is bad in my kingdom..." She paused. "But I will show you if you so insist." She then walked a bit forward, halting her stallion from moving forward to follow her.
Standing in the small space between her horse and the commanding officer, she held out her staff and moved it so quickly that it could not be seen by the naked eye. With that brisk movement, came a glow in front of her. She then placed the crystal of her staff against the glow and it came with a small explosion of light, came forth a hovering document bearing the official King of Rania's seal. She moved it so that it was hovering before the commanding officer, within range to be grab with ease.
"If that isn't enough proof, then if I must, I can show you the other proof that is only within the courts of our king," Sayuri murmured, her eyes on the ground. However, before anything could be done, Sayuri shot her gaze at the trees, jumping backwards from the explosion of earth that blew up in her face. Her eyes looked to the stallion, now no longer with them and she felt the burn in her eyes.
She landed with her feet on the ground, sliding backwards. As she did so, she shot a beam of orange light at where the shot of magick came, only to come in a counter-attack of an arrow shot at her, tearing a hole in her cloak... or what's left of it. She tore off the rest of the destroyed cloak and pulled off her messenger bag, disappearing into a small hole she had created in the air. The hole disappeared and she then moved to move the staff in a quick movement to then change her staff from its form to one that of a bow and arrow.
Shooting a piece of crystallized magick at her target, she watched as a body fell from the trees, only to be then burned to a crisp by a sudden eruption of fire. Suddenly, she felt the earth around her and the commanding officer surrounded, even though she could not see a single person that was targeting her so. She then changed her bow and arrow back into its original form. Her forehead tingled with the soft-blurred symbol as she tried to focus the next point of attack, not caring what on earth would happen to the commanding officer... after all, he had simply regarded her as a weak girl who who could no way be the mage that the King of Rania had sent.
But nonetheless, she said, "It's a fine day to say that we're surrounded."
With her cloak discarded, she now wore a sorceress clothing tight to show off her figure, open on the back with a torn pattern, as if someone had ripped off the back cloth to see what was on her back. The dress she wore was open in the middle from her waist down, making the dress open to any free movement she would do and underneath that she wore leggings with boots that went up to her knees. Her sleeves were expanded wide, with it cut open at near her shoulders. Her v-neck dress revealed skin around her collar bone, bearing fair skin underneath the cloak that she wore. As the wind moved, her hair that covered her back bore a glowing tattoo of the King of Rania's court, but stylized to be added with roses.
"Well... there's your other proof... no tattoo can glow like that, now can there?" she said with a soft voice, as though it seemed to bring her bad memories.
At first, her laughter startled him and he tensed, unable to sense if she was casting somesort of a curse. It took a while before he realized that there was no active magic to be detected. That was the reason he couldn't tell- because there was nothing to sense. His brow raised further when the girl was laughing so much that she toppled off her horse. If she weren't a mage, he would have rushed over to save her from the fall. Whatever it was that she found hilarious had completely shattered the highborn image of what Shura had originally of her.
Strangely, he caught a hint of resentment in her tone and perhaps, even anguish.
"Goodness, I haven't laughed that hard since... forever," she said as she finished dusting herself. "Ah, don't get me wrong, I wasn't laughing at what you said to me about killing me or whatever you wish to do with my corpse, after all, I'd probably say the same if you were in my country." With that, she sighed.
He quirked a brow at her and smiled good-naturedly. "Ah, no. That'd be a waste, killing you. You are much more useful alive," he said lightly. "I have to say, I've never seen a lady laugh like that since forever." Oh she had no idea... law-breakers and those who oppose the king of Tenarin suffer a punishment worse than death.
Shura nodded hesitantly to the rest of her words. Well, it did make sense. He had heard that Rania was a country, nearly free of crime, all because of the penetrating power of their magic. A silent sigh left his lips when he recalled how the law in Tenarin worked. Is Rania any better? Somehow, he doubted it.
When the mage showed him the document, Shura only had time to catch a glimpse of it when something his acute senses picked up raised a warning. A mental curse crossed his mind as he pulled hard on his reins and wheeled his horse around just in time when the explosion threw up a burst of earth, missing the rear of his horse by a mere inch. His ride bugled in alarm and shuffled backwards, uneasy due to its inability to see what where the threat came from. The mage better be unharmed....
Nudging his horse roughly, Shura turned it around, suddenly gripped by irrational anxiety. A wry smile curved his lips when he saw the exchange of magicks, but it soon vanished when a shot tore through her cloak. He swerved his horse so it's positioned between of the mage and where the counter-magic came from. The side of his horse was well shielded with a hidden, imbued mithril chain mails underneath the riding mat, strong enough to deflect moderate magical attacks.
"It's a fine day to say that we're surrounded."
"Not when I'm around, we're not," he said confidently, golden eyes constantly scanning the shadows at the forest edge. He knew the origin of the magicks that surged up to them and kept them trapped- Tenarin counter magicks. "Rebels..." he murmured under his breath. Drawing one of his twin rune blades from his back, he attempted to break the circle of ensnaring enegry with his own.
He threw a glance over his shoulder, but what he saw made him freeze and stare. She was stunning. Far too stunning to be dressed like that. She would place herself in danger if she walked around dressed like that. Was the Ranian king scheming to seduce his king with this witch? Anger burned in his veins and his gaze turned hard. However, when his eyes fell on the tattoo on her back, confusion and disbelief washed his fury from his eyes. The scar on his back tingled in response to the reminder. What the hell is that?
"Well... there's your other proof... no tattoo can glow like that, now can there?"
"We will investigate that later," he told her, raising his blade when he caught sight of all eleven men riding towards them.
问世间情为何物,直教生死相许?
天南地北双飞客,老翅几回寒暑。
欢乐趣,别离苦,就中更有痴儿女。
君应有语,渺万里层云,
千山暮雪,只影向谁去?
横汾路,寂寞当年箫鼓,荒烟依旧平楚。
招魂楚些何嗟及,山鬼暗啼风雨。
天也妒,未信与,莺儿燕子俱黄土。
千秋万古,为留待骚人,
狂歌痛饮,来访雁邱处。
Cocky...
Was the word that rushed through her mind when he stood in front of her, breaking the circle she felt. She felt admiration to the male as he used his blades with masterful movements. When she watched his movements, she noted the way he held himself, remembering that this male will most likely be the one person she could trust while being here... Then again, she could be betrayed or the like.
When she caught him staring at her, her face flushed. The blush would be considered to many men adorable and with a surprised expression, it made it all the more. However, she felt the unmistakable anger that flew through him, but when his eyes noted her tattoo, she noticed his expression change to a confused one.
She chuckled without humor, and said with a hint of bitterness, "Yeah right, if you could, then I would have already known why I bare such a tattoo and if you thought that the king of Rania could ever think of seduction of me, think again because there is no way in hell I'd do such a thing."
The tattoo, was in fact, different from the others at the court of Rania. No one knows why her's has roses on it, hiding the already barely visible Rania seal. All one knows is that the mages of the Rania court all bare a similar tattoo, although they all had just the seal on it and no one knows why Sayuri is the only one with roses on it. Of course, back at the castle, everyone just thought it was a rumor, after all, a man should never see a woman's back unless they were to be wed. The collar bone area was already pushing it.
She noticed the eleven men seconds before the next wave of attacks flew at them.
Whipping up her staff, she held it before her as a barrier, only to be surprised by the amount of pressure that was stored on to it. Her training had not taught her what to do in this situation.
Closing her eyes, she touched among the earth, the symbol on her forehead tingling again as she pushed the barrier out, breaking free. She opened her eyes again just in time to see some of the men that the commanding officers commanded ogle her for a moment before turning their attention to the attackers.
A shower of arrows rained down on them, and she pulled up another barrier to block them, surprised by the numbers. However, she was not focused enough to counter the attack that came from behind, hitting her bluntly on the back. Not even making a sound, she hit the ground hard with a painful crack.
Immediately, her magick tried to heal her before she stopped it, standing back up again with a small stagger. Heavily breathing, she took out her staff and changed it back into a bow and arrow, ready to shoot.
With great difficulty, she tried to pull up her arm to target at those that were attacking them. With each shot she made, a person fell to then be erupted into flames before they even landed. Huffing, her legs gave out but she continued to shoot. Her vision before her swam, and she stopped shooting minutes later. She sat there, letting her magick do what it can without the help of medical assistance. Her back hurt painfully now, thanks to the blunt blow to her back, hitting right at the area of where the tattoo rested.
These people... have magick resistance... she thought as she tried to shoot again, but found that every time she made a shot, she would be hit with another beam of some sort of attack. Her inner thoughts wanted her to run and she wanted to, but she couldn't... after all, to her, they felt like she was surrounded...
Desperate and really scared for the first time in her life, she let herself release the pent up magick from earlier with the stand off with the commanding officer, letting her magick explode from where she sat, with a huge gust of wind, blowing the attackers out of the trees.
