He laughed lightly, for the first time in days, "That must have been an eye opening experience for you. I knew of my magic when I was but five winters old. I had decided I did not wish to be found after playing a trick on my little brother. I imagined that I was hidden and no one could see me. They walked right past me calling out 'Faelin'. I knew I had the gift to bend light. Soon after that I was sent to the elders for training everyday. Never be ashamed of your gift Little Flower."

“Faelin… Could I ask why you were in La Mar City? If you had originated from somewhere nearby, then you wouldn’t have been near that tavern.”

There was certainly no reason for her not to know. The truth was even he didn't know. He was about to reply when he was startled by a third voice, followed by the appearance of Nev. "Yes, Faelin m'dear, why were you in La Mar City? Your new lady friend, Faelin dear? What happened to the last girl? Or the one before her? Weren't you only together for what - a week or so? A pity, she was so besotted with your genteel kindness, wasn't she?"

For a moment he was tempted to hurl the wizard off the boat, had he been alone he most assuredly would have done so, but he had Terrana to think about. "I don't know how you found me Nev, but you have revealed too much, since there have been no women. It is your obvious intention to place discord in the heart of my friend. I will not permit you to harm her. Your quarrel is with me not her.

"But let's forget your adventures-because my, it's been such a long time since we saw each other, hasn't it, my dearest friend? Now, I had something to tell Faelin... what was it... Something about an apology... hm... nevermind -can't remember. A good day to you, fair maiden - I am Anev ilb'stard - but you may call me Nev."

Nev's entire demeanor was one of antagonism, but as soon as he turned his sights on Terrana, Faelin had had enough. They man was edging to rouse him to action and that was what he was about to get. "I gave you fair warning Nev. Now leave." As Faelin spoke he flipped his hand, and what appeared to be a massive serpent plunged out of the water directly at Nev. At the same time Faelin brought his oar sharply across Nev's shin bones. Faelin didn't wait to hear the splash, but hid the two of them in his most powerful concealment illusion. Motioning with his lips to his mouth for Terrana to keep silent, he allowed the boat to drift far enough away that the paddling would not reveal their position.

"It would appear I am still ahead of him and there is yet time to warn my clan." He stopped speaking and looked quizzically ahead. They were still a fair way from the far bank, when he spotted a small boat listing oddly to one side. Turning slightly back upriver to intercept it, he allowed it to bump into his own canoe and was surprised to find an unconscious elf within it. Her clothing and features were much different from any of the woodland clans he was familiar with. The boat seemed to be of northern design. His inquizitive nature began to ponder where she might be from, and why had she been drifting with the current? Deciding it would be easier to try and rouse her at the shore, he tied her skiff off behind his own and resumed his paddling. Soon they had reached the far bank where he brought the boats to ground.

I Role Play because the people in my head tell me to.

"Yes, Faelin m'dear, why were you in La Mar City? Your new lady friend, Faelin dear? What happened to the last girl? Or the one before her? Weren't you only together for what - a week or so? A pity, she was so besotted with your genteel kindness, wasn't she?"

When the words of another stranger reached her ears, Terrana’s hand had reached around her staff, and forced her eyes to meet the frame of the stranger. Unlike Faelin, this person had an aura of mystery and mischief about him. However, the questions that came from the figure had confused her. A new lady friend? Before she could ponder on the fact any more, Faelin had replied to the man’s comment. "I don't know how you found me Nev, but you have revealed too much, since there have been no women. It is your obvious intention to place discord in the heart of my friend. I will not permit you to harm her. Your quarrel is with me not her.” From the elf’s lips, her queries had been resolved, though there was some suspicion that loomed over the man’s words. She came to the conclusion that she didn’t like the figure, and wanted him to leave.

The man turned towards Terrana, and looked at her. He the man, who Faelin called Nev, bowed at her before he spoke. "A good day to you, fair maiden - I am Anev ilb'stard - but you may call me Nev." Not only the man was trying to annoy Faelin with something, but he was intimidating her. If she was on the land, she would have used one of the trees to smack him off the boat. However, since she wasn’t on the land, and over water, her powers were useless. However, Faelin had responded to his comment, and threw him off the boat with a light serpent. Before she could speak up, he motioned to her to remain quiet. Nodding in agreement, she remained quiet, and allowed the canoe to leave the place.

After a few minutes, both Faelin and Terrana spotted a boat that was on one of the banks, with an unconscious elf inside it. Showing concern, she got into the second boat once he tied the boat behind his. She looked at the clothing of the other woman, and came to the conclusion that the elf was from another region. Using one of the cloths that she had with her, she dipped it into the water, and placed the damp cloth over the woman’s head. Once she was done with that, she waited for Faelin to reach the shores of the far bank, and to take care of the woman.

It was short work for Emry to raise himself above the water's surface; once he was settled nicely on the water - oh, how he loved that water was under his command - it didn't take much of an effort to meander lazily after the boats, annoyed with his treatment. Really, he had only come to apologize to Faelin --- oohhh... yes, that's what he'd forgotten to do. In all the excitement of the day (considerable amounts, compared to the last thousands of years) he had completely forgotten that he owed Faelin his most sincerest and truest and humblest apology.

Landing onshore beside the boat, Emry called after the elf in an urgent voice, "Wait! I remembered what I came to tell you! I'm sooorrryyy! So, so, so terribly sorry!"

He was grateful that Terrana was kind enough to scurry into the strangers boat and offer assistance before he even had to ask. Almost everything about hazel eyed elf drew his attention. From the gentle sound of her voice, to the movement of her lips when she spoke. He found himself wanting her to talk just so he could watch her. Perhaps she had cast some spell on him? But he knew no earth spell that could cause such a reaction. Still, all the same he as entranced by her.

The lady in the boat seemed to be stirring from her unnatural sleep, and all would have been well, but for the returning presence of Nev. "Wait! I remembered what I came to tell you! I'm sooorrryyy! So, so, so terribly sorry!"

A spark of anger flared at second the intrusion, but Faelin sensed the power in the man and knew he wasn't strong enough to fight him. Nor could he force him to leave. He got a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach when the man spoke. "What are you talking about? Why must you make it your business to follow after me when I have made it plain I'm trying to avoid you? Are you daft?" He turned his back on the man to pull the second boat more firmly out of the water. "Terrana, how is she doing? Is she coming around?"

Nemesis appeared moments later, suddenly near the river where Emry had once stood. Re'lar nearby, watching everything that was happening.

Nemesis seemed to move as if it had no feet, but was a ghost, hovering over the ground as it floated over the river's surface and towards where the Elemental Wizard of Light, Earth, and... now, Dark. It smiled its creepy smile, glad that it had discovered three of them, of which they had no recollection of their past lives. How fun.

However, Nemesis' head jerked to the side, sensing two Elemental Wizards who did have their memories awakened.

It turned its head back towards the small group, smiling again as it spoke, its voice eerily familiar to them and the voice so full of death, that it sent chills up their spines and caused the blood to drain from their faces, "Glad to see that you all are well, after all, it has been 3000 years since we've last seen each other." The grin grew wider, its deathly stark white fingers removed itself from the robed figure's side, pointing at them.

"I sense that despair shall linger on you... and that you three are unprepared for battle..." It grinned wider, even more menacing looking than ever. "I shall give you today to prepare and then tomorrow, we shall... 'have fun with each other,' right... Nev?"

It grinned more than humanly possible before turning its back on the elves and said to "Nev", "Come, let us go prepare ourselves as well for the little game tomorrow... after all, we should give them their... fair chance." It hovered away, towards where the elves had first pushed off from the canoe, its fingers already busy as it began to play with its spells that it had.

Noctis listened on the excuse that Solana gave to... Alys, if he remembered her from his memories correctly. He almost chuckled if it weren't for the fact that he was already half way asleep. Nice excuse, shaky but it barely made it as to what we are sort of doing, Noctis thought as Solana ended the conversation and had walked away.

He opened his eyes slowly to see her walk away and slumped against a tree, preparing to fall asleep. He almost chuckled again before he closed his eyes again and fell asleep.

---

Noctis had been awake for a long time, already checking out the places that he thought or ought to be checking. Faelin and Terrana were still asleep when he awoke, as was Solana.

He jumped out of the tree with silence to be envied and walked over to where Solana slept. He didn't want to wake her and then knelt to the ground and morphed into his wolf form, preparing himself to hunt for the day, after all, he was hungry.

He took off with a dash and headed deep into the woods, his wolf form larger than most wolves in the area or even any wolves. He found a hurt buck and circled around it, already tasting the buck's fear in the air, as Noctis panted, already can taste the buck's flesh in his mouth.

The moment was quick and fast, the buck unable to feel anymore pain. He phased back into his human self, stretching as his arms reached for the sky, adjusting himself to the form that stood on two legs. He began to clean the buck and cut it cleanly with his metallic bracelets as he morphed it into a blade for cutting flesh of meat. Wrapping up the meat he most likely wasn't going to eat, he ate the rest, after cooking it above the fire for a bit.

He felt satisfied and then phased back into his wolf form, placing the meat someplace in his bag, as it melded into the form of his wolf self.

He took a dash through the woods until he came to where Solana was sleeping again. He phased back out, the adrenaline still pulsing through his body from the run, his piercing grey eyes flashing brilliantly.

However, he realized that where Solana was once sleeping, she was gone, and he noticed her a bit ways off, picking berries until she ate her fill. She then walked over to where near he had been sleeping, whispering, “Should we follow them, then?”

He appeared silently behind her, his tall form towering over her, and his low voice grumbled, "Yes, we should."

He chuckled at her response and then he moved silently through the woods until they found them on the river, heading towards Crelum Forest, the Elvin Realm.

"Great," he growled, "we're going to the elf realm, this should be fun."

He continued to follow them, even though they were on the river and drifting quite rapidly. However, he narrowed his eyes when he felt the familiar presence and nearly growled loudly when he saw who it was. Emry and Re'lar have come now? That must means Nemesis is back already... he thought as he watched Emry's actions, although Re'lar seemed satisfied from just watching everything from afar.

He blinked when he noticed another boat, another elf from the smell of her, and she wasn't from La Mar... Her scent was clearly from the north, the icy smell still clinging to her as if she had just arrived at La Mar from there. His thoughts wandering around the thought of why was she doing all the way...

"Hey, I think that's the Elemental Wizard of Dark," he murmured softly to Solana. "So that makes three people's memories he'd have to awaken... whenever he decides to get his rear over here... as if it were obvious enough."

However, the next moment, that figure appeared. It was robed in absolutely nothing but darkness, as if it were the very form of death itself. However, the robed figure was still... somewhat humane, although it seemed to have lost it as it spoke, sending his wolf side whimpering and growling in fear.

It spoke, the voice as if it were in dire need of something to soothe it, to make it not so bone-chilling. But then it began to hover away and he couldn't help but draw to the realization...

"Solana, was Nemesis always like that?" he growled, his voice barely heard through the growling that his wolf side was taking control over, his grey eyes flashing to gold, the side of his wolf self.

Terrana watched as the woman that was in the boat woke up from her dreaming state. One question had left the woman’s lips. "Saul? She thought about the name carefully, wondering why the elf had asked her that. But, when she looked at the ring that was on her hand, Terrana fully understood where the name came from. She had always seen couples in her own realm, and thought about having the happiness that was around them happen to her. However, that day never came to pass, since she was exiled from the village where she was born. Despite her predicaments, she just simply smiled at the elf.

“I don’t know where this Saul is, but I’m sure that he is somewhere nearby. I am Agenia Devena, but you an call me Terrana.” She had smiled reassuringly to her, and helped the elf out. She turned her head as she heard Nev speaking again, after following them. She slowly got out of the boat, and started to gather the forces of the Earth to call on her vines again, but only summoned them to one of her wrists. She also channeled some of the magic into her staff. The crystal on the top of the staff grew. After a few minutes, the crystal was gone, and a naginata blade was in its place. “What are you doing here? Didn’t Faelin tell you to leave him alone?” Despite the interrogation, she was completely oblivious to the comment that he had made earlier. When Faelin asked her about the woman in the boat, she nodded.”

When another voice spoke to the group, she turned and faced the person. Just from the look of this being, she paled. "Glad to see that you all are well, after all, it has been 3000 years since we've last seen each other." Terrana gave a slight look of confusion when the being mentioned that. Was she reincarnated from another being 3000 years ago? Despite the question running though her head, she noticed the being was floating away from them, seemingly wanting to just tell them that he was ready to fight them tomorrow. However, she had thought otherwise.

Within a blink of an eye, she raised her arm, and sent her whip-like vine towards the being’s head. The tip of the vine snapped right near the being’s head, unknown if she had hit him or not. “Faelin may not be ready, or is too busy to fight, I would say otherwise. I am ready to face you here and now.” She brought the whip back, and turned her head towards Faelin. “See is she needs any sort of healing. I’ll try and fend him off from attacking us tomorrow.” She nodded her head towards the being again, and sent the tip of the vine towards it again.

"Quite daft," Emry conceded with a grin. "And yes, little Faelin's fifth lover of the month, he did tell me to leave- but my best friend ever didn't really mean it - he was just cross with me."

Emry looked as though was about to say more - wanted to say more, when Nemesis arrived. He did not bother to listen to the specifics of his lord's words, but Emry understood the basic message: he was being called back, to give Faelin time to see his lovely clan burnt to brittle crisps. Oh, well played... well-played...

Glancing at Re'lar, who moved from the self-made shadows in which he had shrouded himself, Emry joined up with him to follow Nemesis.

“Faelin may not be ready, or is too busy to fight, I would say otherwise. I am ready to face you here and now. See is she needs any sort of healing. I’ll try and fend him off from attacking us tomorrow.” Terrana's vine whip was ready to strike at the vile man. The shock of it was almost his undoing. She could very well be dead in a moment.

"NO! Terrana." He leaped forward his hand staying her wrist. Then catching the glint of her eye, he tried a seldom used trick he knew. He touched her mind, for a moment he was stunned by the beauty of being with her thoughts, but she had to know. Terrana, he is more evil and powerful than you can imagine. We don't stand a chance against him. Look...this is what I saw of him in the tavern, and it was just a brief glimpse. He let the images of a thousand atrocities flood out before clamping them off. He didn't want her overwhelmed as he had been, but surely now she would understand. "We have to let him go."

"Quite daft, and yes, little Faelin's fifth lover of the month, he did tell me to leave- but my best friend ever didn't really mean it - he was just cross with me."

"I am no friend of yours Nev, and I never will be. And what is this preoccupation you have with my nonexistent love life? You really need to get a new hobby Nev. Now, unless you have nothing better to do than harass innocent women? Then leave." Faelin wanted nothing more than get to his people. He breathed a sigh of relief when Nev finally disappeared.

"Terrana," Faelin took her hand more gently. "I'm apologize for speaking so harshly, but his power far exceeds both of us combined. He could have killed us with barely a whisper. When I saw Nev's mind, I sensed his great age. I believe he is one of the evil Wizards that the legends speak of. If he has come back there is great evil walking the lands of La Mar. I must warn my people. And that other creature that called him away. I don't know how we will fight him tomorrow. I feel he is more powerful even than Nev, who appeared to just be a servant. He spoke to as if he knew something about us, but how could that be?"

He turned his attention to the woman in the boat. "Madam, are you well enough to stand? I hate to ask it of you, but we have need of haste. My village is less than an hours walk. Are you able to make that distance? I am sure the healers will be able to tend to you. You still appear overly wan. Perhaps you can enlighten us how you came to be here as we travel?"

I frowned, scanning the wood around me. The clever animal had disappeared into the brush. I squatted to see the small trail it had left. A few feet from where it had entered, the trail stopped. A grim smile set across my face and I pulled back on the bow. I had injured it. My arrow flew with accuracy and a small rustle in the brush told me I'd made my mark.

Kneeling down to start skinning my prey, I froze. Something of the dynamic of the forest had changed. It was trying to tell me something. There was danger near by... grave danger it seemed. I gathered the felled rabbit and turned from the feeling of death.

NO. Something stirred inside... I knew there might be others in danger... or something I could do- but that feeling of death. I shook my head and started forward again... fighting with my brain as to what I should do.

For half a mile, I trudged away from the forest's warning. It's certain death. Such an omen cannot be ignored... But oh the power I might tap into... the betterment I might find! But is it worth the risk? Powers can't advance if they're gone... if the person who would use- I froze once more with a pivotal thought, Someone could be getting hurt... killed.

Spinning on my heels, I began to run as fast as I'd ever run before- only slowing when the feeling was so close I almost collapsed with sickness. Steeling myself against the aura ahead of me, I crept close to the ground- keeping watch for movement. I finally managed to find the fringe of a conflict- obviously the place from which this sickening aura was originated. Gritting my teeth, I tried to assess the situation before launching into action.
