![]() Location: La Mar City Outside the Tavern Date: Sept. 1st Time: Early Evening There was an innocent shyness about her that appealed to Faelin. It was her eyes, he decided, they seemed to be pleading with him. He knew she was alone, but she seemed to also be lonely of spirit. Again her voice fell like a melody, "I have heard that there was something happening within the world of La Mar, and thought that the king had needed my assistance. However, I do not know where to go, since this is the first time that I have strayed away from my own realm. Perhaps you know of the place where I need to be, Master Faelin?" Looking to see if there was any sign of Nev, he grew nervous lingering any longer in the street. "My pardon Terrana, but we really must leave. Please trust me. I mean you no harm, but there is great evil here this eve. Come quickly." With that he wasted no further time. Not certain what propriety or Terrana might think, he took hold of her hand. Noticing just briefly that it felt like some delicate flower in his own, he tugged. "Hurry." Neither looking back, nor letting go he raced northward after the elf he had been sent to meet. He found it odd that she would leave another elf to such circumstances, but then everything about her had been odd. Even when he reached the edge of the town he had seen no trace of her. There was some comfort in being away from the human settlement, and Faelin slowed his pace to a stroll. "I can not imagine what has happened to her. Since we a far enough from prying ears, you know already that I am Faelin," again he bowed slightly, his blond hair falling partly forward across his brow. "I am of the West River Clan. I was sent here for a meeting , but she seems to have scampered off. As for your question yes, there are strange things happening in the realm of La Mar, but I think now is not the time for Kings and cities. After what evil I saw tonight, even I begin to believe the old tales of the Elemental Wizards. I hope they come soon, the world could use such powerful magic." He squeezed her hand in reassurance then his neck flushed to realize he had never let go of her delicate grip. He dropped it instantly, but regretted the loss as soon as he released her. "My pardon Terrana, I meant no disrespect." |

Location: La Mar City Outside the Tavern Date: Sept. 1st Time:Evening Solana merely shrugged as Ryuu made his suggestion that they split up. “I’d be fine with following them, I suppose,” she said, looking in their direction as she spoke. “I’ll see you later, then.” Turning back to the road, she trailed the pair of elves at a distance, hoping to keep a distance long enough to avoid any suspicion. Unlike her, they had not yet been told of the Elemental Wizards, though they may had begun to figure the story out on their own. Either way, it was highly unlikely that they would recognize her as an ally, or for that matter, anything other than the usual werewolf tramp. Suddenly, a shift came in the breeze. Solana could tell that they were not alone anymore… and something was amiss. Peering up ahead, she saw a group of new people, which appeared to include a trio of rather large, and more than slightly thuggish men. There also seemed to be another elf, to Solana’s surprise. She paused apprehensively. Was it a good idea to let the people in front of her know what was going on? Shifting uncomfortably, she debated with herself anxiously. But before she could decide on the best course of action, the choice was made for her. Immense vines shot out from the wrists of the elf lady, wrapping around the thugs. Faelin, seemingly as shocked as she was, finished the job for her, though he left them alive. Solana would have continued watching, but a was distracted by somebody behind her. She spun around on her heel, to see a rather handsome, but undeniably dark man standing behind her. Inexplicably, she could tell that he was one of them, an Elemental Wizard, but different as well. He looked to be part werewolf, like her, but also of a much more sinister blood – dark elf. “Good evening,” she said, smiling in what she hoped was a polite fashion. “I assume that you’ve come to join us.” She blushed, lowering her eyes slightly. Introductions had never been her strong point. “I’m sorry, I don’t think I’ve met you before. My name is Solana, Solana Heron. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Of course, he would already know her name, Solana thought wryly. But there was never any harm in courtesy, was there? Her mind wandered back to the newcomer (Noctis was his name, she remembered). He was part dark elf, which could be potentially problematic, with the large number of light elves in their group. His kind was never accepted among them, or, for that matter, almost anyone else. While she cared almost not at all about what ‘race’ a person was, others would not be so forgiving. It seemed like a good idea at the time... How are we to live in the present, look to the future and remember the past? If anybody has the number of the wise man on the mountain, could I please have it? I like black licorice and the color green. There's a reason for this madness. I fell off the Train of Thought. Burr shot Hamilton. Elka wants a red hat. I can't find any relation in the statements above. If you can, please tell me, so I can get rid of it. | |

![]() Location: La Mar City Outside the Tavern to Outskirts of the City Date: Sept. 1st Time: Evening He took a small glance at her and nodded back in reply, and said, "More or less so, yes." He watched her make her introductions of herself, even though she seemed to know that he would have already known her name. He does have to give her points though, for being respectful, despite the fact she seemed to know what he was. "Pleasure to meet you, Solana," he said as his gaze turned back on the elves. He sighed and said, "Best we follow or we might fall behind... although I really doubt that would happen." He almost laughed if it weren't for the fact that he wasn't the kind of person to laugh at his own jokes. "And I'm sure you know who I am already, as my name is Noctis Lykaon." He moved silently, despite being his size. He followed after the Elves with relative ease, and noticed that there was only two of them. The elf female in red whose name was Terrana and the male elf named Faelin. Both of whom he recognized as the Elemental Wizards of Light and Earth. He knew that the Elemental Wizard of Water was with them, but she had disappeared among the scuffle of those petty thieves who came out to harass Terrana. He had only shook his head at those humans who were a disgrace. "You know what I am, right?" he asked, looking at her with blank grey eyes. Edited by DarkAngel013, Mar 11 2009, 03:19 AM.

![]() Location: La Mar City Outside the Tavern Date: Sept. 1st Time: Early Evening She noticed that Faelin was really nervous about something, and started to worry. Maybe there was something that was happening towards the elves. Either way, she had to follow him. He took hold of her hand, and started to bring her in the direction that he was heading. Although she was about to remove her hand from his, what he said made her refrain from taking it back. "Hurry." Once they had reached her sensitive ears, she nodded, and started to run. She tried her very best to keep up with him, but she was failing, and was end up being dragged while she ran to her potential. During the time of the two elves sprinting, Terrana started to feel a little comfort within the presence of the elf. There was a mysterious air about him which made her feel welcome, a sense of peace. As he slowed down to a stroll, she started to pant heavily. "I cannot imagine what has happened to her. Since we a far enough from prying ears, you know already that I am Faelin. I am of the West River Clan. I was sent here for a meeting , but she seems to have scampered off. As for your question yes, there are strange things happening in the realm of La Mar, but I think now is not the time for Kings and cities. After what evil I saw tonight, even I begin to believe the old tales of the Elemental Wizards. I hope they come soon, the world could use such powerful magic." Just hearing those words had confirmed the suspicions that she had heard from the trees, and a huge weight of curiosity was lifted from her shoulders. Terrana felt his grip tightening for some strange reason, but looked at him as his neck flushed, and his grip was removed. She felt sad as he took his hand away from hers, but she remained quiet. "My pardon Terrana, I meant no disrespect." She smiled, and placed her hand across his face. "Believe me, Faelin. I have been through things which was far worse than a tight grip across my hand." She removed her hand, and started to walk towards a nearby tree. She closed her eyes, and allowed the essence that was within the mighty being into her, and spoke to her very soul. She concentrated hard, making sure that she didn't lose too much of her magic capabilities. Trying to use more powerful magic was difficult to her, even though she trained her body to be as powerful as possible, but concentrating on one tree in particular was difficult as well, since she had to try and block out any tree that was nearby. Once she was done, she opened her eyes, and lightly placed her hand on her head, when a light headache started to develop. |

Location: La Mar City Outside the Tavern to Outskirts of the City Date: Sept. 1st Time: Evening Glad that Noctis had accepted her rather pointless introduction, Solana considered the man for a moment, watching him from the corner of her eye. He seemed to be quite courteous, especially for one in his position. She certainly had not been so properly spoken when she had met Ryuu. Shaking herself from her thoughts, Solana grinned broadly at Noctis’ gibe about the elves. “No, I don’t think they’re about to go flying off into oblivion any time soon, wonderful as that sounds right now. It would be interesting, though,” she commented in amusement. Her tone then grew more serious as she continued. “And yes, I do know your name, though I haven’t the faintest idea why… I don’t understand much of anything right now, and that seems unlikely to change for a while yet.” She began to walk a little faster, trying to catch up with the elves up front. There was no need to, really. As she had joked with Noctis, they really were not going anywhere fast. Apparently Faelin had taken a fancy to the new elf, too, something that caused Solana to barely suppress a snort of laughter. Despite his pompous demeanor, he seemed to be a rather fickle sort overall. Looking back at Noctis, Solana was a little dismayed by his last question. How could she answer to that? She sighed. “Well, yes,” she said frankly, meeting his cold gaze with a slight twinge of worry. “But truthfully, I am not concerned. People can’t help the way they were born. In my opinion, it’s usually better to judge people not by what they are, but who, and I’m willing to do that.” |

Location: Procul Port Date: Sept. 1st Time: Night Leviathan then arrived at the Port of designation, Nemesis nowhere to be found. He tilted his head, curious and wondering where on earth could his lord could have gone, after all, Nemesis' body was still recovering from sleeping for so long so it was unlikely he was doing anything extreme yet. "The Lord will be appearing soon, I should suspect," he said, breaking the silence. Knowing Emry, he's probably rejoicing so much that he'll notice what he's just said after a few moments. Nemesis presence was heavy here, sure, but the Lord was nowhere in sight. He noticed Re'lar nearby and bowed his head down in respect and then just turned to watch around himself, wondering where on earth his master had gone. |

Her tone then grew more serious as she continued. “And yes, I do know your name, though I haven’t the faintest idea why… I don’t understand much of anything right now, and that seems unlikely to change for a while yet.” Noctis nodded his head in agreement, although, he knew the reason why he knew their names. It was because of their past lives as they each had the same names again, just as they were in the past, although this time, they have titles and such attached. "Well, if it could clear up your confusion a bit without causing you a major headache, it seems that the remembering of each others names is the first step in regaining our memories from our past lives," he explained as he continued to move after the elves, although that was soon deemed as unnecessary. He noted to himself her suppressed snort of laughter at what Faelin was doing with Terrana and sighed. Flirting... is that what it is now? he thought as he continued to watch. “Well, yes,” she said frankly, meeting his cold gaze with a slight twinge of worry. “But truthfully, I am not concerned. People can’t help the way they were born. In my opinion, it’s usually better to judge people not by what they are, but who, and I’m willing to do that.” Noctis turned to look at her, hearing her movement by the hearing he was given as a werewolf. He noticed the slight twinge of worry in her voice as well. "Well, many people disregard me as an existence that shouldn't have been existing in the first place," he explained, his voice a low rumble that seemed comforting. "Even amongst the werewolves, they have the kinds where they disregard the Dark Elves... and it was amazing in the first place to even have me... Anyway, the point is... the Dark Elves are really meant to be away from everyone else except maybe vampires because they understand us... however, others really can't." He sighed at that last statement. He smiled a weak smile then, "Well, most werewolves have gotten tolerant to us... just some every now and then would bug us... And yes, I do agree with what you say on judging who they are." He wondered then to himself of what on earth else could happen on this amazing journey to awakening. He glanced back at the city before returning his gaze back to the two elves, saying, "You know what Ryuu is right? Do you remember what he was like with you in our past lives yet?" He wondered how the rate of remembering all depended on their personalities. For him, it took him only a whole day to finally finish sorting through all of those memories, understanding yet not understanding himself from his past. Ryuu had said that it took him three days to remember everything, but it was difficult because he didn't want to look through a past that had given him so much pain to achieve it. ![]() Location: Outside La Mar City Date: Sept. 1st Time: Evening Being around Terrana was like every other time he was around a female. He was lost, flustered. Why were they so hard to talk to? He had yet to meet one that stirred his heart. There always seemed to be some flaw or other. He wanted perfection. Not true perfection, but perfect...for him. There was no sense encouraging someone, when there was no spark. He was bewildered when she touched his face. Everything about her spoke of shyness, yet to touch him, a stranger, in such a manner. But her words struck a chord, "Believe me, Faelin. I have been through things which was far worse than a tight grip across my hand." He did not like the thought that she had been mistreated. Since she said she had not traveled out of her woods, then the mistreatment must have come from her own people? Such things did not happen in the West River Clan. She left for a moment and seemed to be communicating with a tree? When Terrana finished she appeared pained as if the magic had taken a toll. He unconsciously reached an arm out to steady her. "What were you doing?" He tilted her chin up a bit to look in her eyes. "You are in pain? Come we can sit for a few minutes while you rest. Have you eaten?" He sat on the hillock and pulled a fruit from his pouch. It grew specifically in the Mew Woods of his home. Extending it to her, "Try this, it may refresh you." He looked away as soon as he handed her the small golden delicacy. "I think the person I met must have fled. If you do not mind, I would like some company. I have to warn my people of what I saw here. Unless there was some place specific you needed to go?" He was dubious as to his motives for inviting her. He didn't really need the company, and he could probably travel faster alone. In truth, he couldn't very well just leave her here. He refused to think it might be the delightful melody of her voice, the fragile softness of her hand, or the warmth in her hazel eyes. |

![]() Location: La Mar City Outside the Tavern Date: Sept. 1st Time: Early Evening "What were you doing? You are in pain? Come we can sit for a few minutes while you rest. Have you eaten?" Terrana looked up to Faelin, who had a concerned look on his face. She had noticed that he had touched her arm, wanting to keep her up from falling into consciousness. She smiled at him, and lowered her arm shortly after her headache disappeared. "I was just informing the forests that what they have told me was true. However, I was only talking to the one being who was powerful enough to get the message through, since I am not strong enough to send a message to the entire wood." Before she could answer his next two questions, she felt his touch as he moved her head slightly. Both of them were looking eye to eye. For once in her life, she had sensed a presence of peace. Normally, no male elf would touch her face. She instantly knew that Faelin was different, though she couldn't tell what it was. "I'm... I'm not in pain. I'm just exhausted. Trying to talk to one tree, and blocking hundreds of them takes a lot of strength from me." It wasn't long before he took out a fruit from his pouch. She sat near him, and she took the fruit that was offered to her, and thanked him for it. "Try this, it may refresh you." She raised the golden fruit, and took a bite out of it. In just that bite, she felt her energy being restored, and made her completely alert. She noticed that he looked away for just one second, before he continued to speak. "I think the person I met must have fled. If you do not mind, I would like some company. I have to warn my people of what I saw here. Unless there was some place specific you needed to go?" She slightly shook her head, her fringe rolling across her face. "I don't have anything that I need to do, from what I can remember from this morning. Are your people as welcoming as you are?" She paused for a minute before she continued with what she was saying. "Only a few people back in my realm were kind to me. In general, most of them tend to just ignore me, while my family got the popularity that they should deserve. Even if I was the oldest of the Devena children, all of my brothers and sisters were more known than I was. It was this that had led me to being exiled by my own father." She paused again, and remained silent. One tear gently rolled down her face, as she finally told someone about her lonely soul. Edited by Mercinus3, Mar 15 2009, 05:44 AM.

a fleeting presence
|
"Re'lar," Emry exclaimed, excitement painting his features. "So glad you came- listen, you can do that teleporting mischeif, right? Care to help me out with one teensy-tiny errand before my Lord arrives?" Re'lar ti Synar looked at him with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. "Will he not be annoyed with our departure?" A sly, downright mischeivious look crossed his features, making him resemble a child about to steal candy, or something equally as inane to everyone but himself. "Oh, don't worry," Emry assured ti Synar airily. "My Lord won't mind- and if he does, I'll just have to remind him that I spent three-thousand years waiting for him. Five minutes or so is much less than he deserves for leaving me to wallow in boredom." Re'lar paused, before nodding his assent and readying his magic. &--x Screams of anger, despair; screams of dying breath, of promises for revenge. They were all music to his ears- but even more lovely was the forked lightening that struck from nowhere, taking lives in its fleeting flash. The wind that blew hard enough to knock people over, and sharp enough to bite into their skin. It was over in less than ten minutes. Nodding to Re'lar, Emry waited for the man to return them to his Lord's side, feeling much more cheerful because now- -now the West River Clan, or whatever the annoying little elves called them selves, was no more. [ -----re'lar---ti---synar----- ] He watched impassively, vaguely impressed, as Emry Conte stood there head tilted with a manaical grin on his face as lightening and rain and winds destroyed the elven people. It was sort of... wasteful- interesting, but a little boring. The first thing he asked when they returned was, "Was that really necessary?" Emry gave him a confused look, as if he didn't understand the question, before a lazy smile crossed his lips. "Of course it was, my dear Re'lar," he said cheerfully. "One of theirs called me an evil little bastard. He was totally asking for -- oh... wait... No, I called myself 'Anev il B'stard' and he called me Nev..." A pause, and Emry's crestfallen look appeared to be genuinely remorseful. Appeared was te key word, Re'lar corrected himself- the man's next words accompanied by a careless shrug belied the rue. "Hm. Remind me to apologize to the Elemental Wizard of Light for destroying his home and clan before I kill him, right?" Re'lar said nothing; dear spirits, he thought instead, Nemesis's second-in-command truly is insane. Edited by Teslyn, Mar 15 2009, 04:45 PM.
