Ryuu turned to smile at the Light elf who looked at him, as if questioning what he was. After all, he did give off the feeling that was part elf, but most of the time, the Elves don't recognize the Vampire side that lingered over the Elf blood that was in him. Ryuu was sure that this man was most likely wondering what he was, however, he watched Faelin turn his attention to the female elf who had began to speak at that time.

As he listened to the female elf's words, he wondered if her mother had been foreseeing what the King's wizards has seen. After all, the Oracle there had been the one that had said the prophecy of Dark Chaos awakening again... that much was for sure along with the fact that the Elemental Wizards were coming back.

He sighed. So far, the other Elemental Wizards have not yet been awakened completely, and it was only him so far. He wondered just how far would they want to remember their past life as to fight for Dark Chaos again... and him being probably much stronger than last time.

He blinked in surprise when the white-haired male laughed aloud, his heart racing up as soon as the dark energy had appeared and disappeared. He truly is the second-in-command leader of Nemesis, he thought.

"North is that way, if I remember my directions clearly," Ryuu offered to the white-haired male. He generously pointed in the direction that he knew was north, having been traveling for the past several years. "I can give you a map, if you wish for one."

He wanted to address to the female elf's words after the white-haired male left... after all, since he was in connection with Nemesis, it would be troubling to have this portion of the city blow up when a fight comes; after all, their energy to fight was far more vast than any Wizard in any of the Kingdoms.

"Why, thank you good sir," Emry said with much more enthusiasm than was strictly necessary. "A map would be most helpful, if you had one? I just need to take a peek at it - I know how terribly hard it is to come by an accurate one sometimes." In his inner mind, Emry Conte was doing a jig. Though the elf-vampire-boy's voice was clear and calm, Emry Conte sensed his trepidation. After all these years - it was easy to read people, easier than reading actual words written down on paper in Common.

At long last, he was to meet up with his master again. At long last.

(But seriously, once he got there, he was not going to be in a happy-happy-cheerful mood. Maybe a day or two of sulking was needed to fully impress upon Lord Nemesis how thoroughly and absolutely bored he had been. A day, at the very least.)

... but if he was to leave -- Faelin of the WestSomethingorotherbutsoontobeDeadClan, most likely wizard of Light, with that attitude. Someoneelsegirl-elf, somewhat irritatingly shy - most likely Water, the soft thing. And this third one - "I'm sorry, I never caught your name, sir...?" - was undoubtedly sound, with that voice.

Re'lar smiled thinly, and in an airy voice said, "Oh, I've been keeping myself busy, Lord Nemesis." Much better than Emry Conte. Last he had checked in on the fool, Re'lar had been convinced that the years had driven the once-infamous mage senile. Then again, Re'lar couldn't have claimed to have known Emry Conte before, but he could't imagine someone held in such high esteem by Nemesis would be such a fool.

"I never have been very good at mass destruction," Re'lar said wryly; he was one for the more subtle arts of manipulation and control -- one on one battles (which had been pathetically dismal as of late) and striking from the shadows were refined, almost graceful dark techniques that he much preferred... but he supposed mass destruction was what Nemesis excelled at, and Re'lar would indulge him. "But it has been a while since I have tested the extent of my power, Lord..."

Cocking his head, sending out his inner senses, it was the work of seconds to wrap a tendril of control around the town's most prominent holy man's or priest or cleric or whatever they called him; in less than twenty minutes, while Re'lar had stood there perfectly still, the man had killed three innocent bystanders screaming about the impurities of Elemental Wizards all the while.

She finally began speaking, but dropped her tone to where even his elven ears could barely hear her. As if her words weren't confusing enough, the evil presence in the room had him at a disadvantage. Perhaps she did not perceive the danger, but the white haired man was no gentleman. "There are in fact many paths leading to the eventuality. It was the singular purpose of Oliviree to remain on his path. Our path is not yet set, the writers hand uncertain." Looking around the room at the deepening evil, "formalities have their place, but the need for them has since departed."

The bag she held seemed to be of importance to her. His eyes narrowing, perhaps she was more clever than he earlier credited. It would be well for her not to mention anything else. "Speak no more of your mother, though it is my hope her illness doesn't linger. We will talk of this later."

As her eyes drifted to the interloper, Faelin's head lowered to her curiously un-elf like ear. In the old language he spoke barely above a hush. "It is wise that you mention not your name. We need to extricate ourselves from Nev's presence. He is not what he appears." Lightly urging her past the strange new elf, he was brought up short as the elf offered to give Nev a map. "If the man can't figure out north, what good will a map do him?" The tension was rising in Faelin, and it looked like it might be necessary to stay. There was something intriguing about the elf, that begged Faelin to stay. He had reached an impasse, hand grasping the knife at his belt, he waited to see if Nev would leave.

The presumably young elf's eyes left the white-haired man's face at length. With an un-exaggerated exhalation through the nose, she stared tranquilly directly forward, allowing the scene to address and care for itself without her moderation. She seemed so... apathetically detached from everything, like she was merely participating in telling a children's story around the fire for the umpteenth time. In the scarce happenings when she did act in some way, she seemed so vaguely there, in a fog in her most definitive of moments.

And the elder elf felt he had the right to disrupt her misty demeanor with the sacred old tongue?

In a powerful speaking voice, she replied with flawless pronunciation of the dead language, "I cannot perceive any account for double deception. You need not lower your voice. You may, however, consider concealing your blade."

She nodded towards the bar maid across the room, who happened to be eyeing the curious quartet with heavy apprehension. Perhaps choosing a tavern to carry out what would indefinitely turn into an argument was not as conspicuous as she had hoped.
And if her mother's prior indication proved true, a certain someone would be causing quite the scene.

Presently, she stood, and made to push at Elf Faelin's arm. In the common tongue, she said clearly - no longer caring to keep her voice quiet, "We must leave. Now." She stole a glance at the perplexing third party, but let her gaze rest again on the man who gave his name, falsely, as Nev-something. "Farewell, and let fall what may."

Again concerned with the tavern-dwellers, she cleared her throat softly and made to walk for the exit.

Ryuu watched the scenes unfold before him with a somewhat amused expression. When Emry spoke, however, he automatically picked up the male's sense of sarcasm, remembering his sense of direction. Oh, right, he has no sense of direction whatsoever, I remember that now, he thought, even more amused as Ryuu smiled at the male.

Before he could reply, a female werewolf stepped into the tavern, in response he wrinkled his nose in disgust. Their scents were often different from many of the other species but he had grown accostumed to the scents of the elves and vampires but not so much as werewolves.

He slipped out of sight and disappeared from behind the two elves who were making their way to leave the tavern. When he was outside, he took in large gulp of air, relieved to wash away the smells from the suffocatingly disgusting tavern.

His hearing perked up the conversation that Faelin and the female elf were talking of, the language of the Ancient Elves of which he could understand bits and pieces of. Then he also heard the female werewolf's conversation with the bar maid, interested in her voice. Sounds clearly as if the wind was brushing by her, despite being inside the tavern, he thought. So that makes... three finds.

He jumped off from the roof and landed a bit of ways behind the elves, wondering what might he should do to reawaken their memories. If he did it now, it'd only cause trouble. He would awaken the female werewolf then, since she's the one who is somewhat alone right now and the Elves before him would get only thoroughly annoyed.

He decided to wait until they resolved their issue before awakening them, which would be the female elf's mother's sickness of what Faelin was probably going to go see about.

Nemesis sighed for a moment, wondering if Emry had gotten in contact with Leviathan yet, after it had sent him off to guide Emry back over here.

~~~
Leviathan arrived at La Mar City's outskirts, in time to find Emry's white haired head pop out of a tavern.
He appeared before him, bowing slightly, and said, "The Lord is waiting for you to arrive, if you could be as what it requests to follow me and I will guide you there." Without making sure Emry had gotten the message, he turned on his heel and began to run back towards Procul Port.
The whole journey, if they kept going, would take the rest of the night, going at the speed that they were going. After all, Leviathan was only as fast as vampire could go as they could... plus a few self-made modifications that Nemesis had made itself to make Leviathan faster and more silent than any creature on this country.
Introductory Post:
(Obviously, I haven’t got an avvie. Sorry about that. ^^)
Location: Near the La Mar City Tavern
Date: Sept 1
Time: Afternoon/Evening
Despite her best efforts, Solana was once again out later than she had intended to be. Looking up at the sky, she saw with dismay that the last remaining rays of sun were sinking away rapidly; the afternoon was fading fast. She shook her head in exasperation at herself. Try as she might, she could never seem to get anywhere when she wanted to.
Even though she had tried to plan her trip through only the better parts of town, she currently found herself in front of the large, raucous tavern in one of the slightly less well-to-do districts. Just my luck, she thought with a grimace, to end up in the worst part of town as soon as I want to take a break.
Leaning against a stack of wooden crates (likely containing some form of alcohol, judging by the longing looks some passersby were giving it), Solana considered her options. She could either keep walking, arrive late, and make a scene, or stop for a bite to eat in this pigsty, arrive later, and make even more of a scene. Both options seemed less than ideal. But her stomach appeared to be siding with the later choice. Muttering a grumpy excuse to herself, she sighed and trudged across the street in the direction of the foul smell and ruckus emanating from the tavern.
She thought she had prepared herself, but she was still a little shocked by the wall of noise that hit her when she opened the door of the place. People were singing drunkenly, laughing, competing in deafening shouting matches, and conversing in tones that would hardly be considered acceptable elsewhere. Cringing, she edged her way past a very large and obviously very drunk man and squeezed into a seat in the far corner. This place clearly was not the best stop for a woman traveling alone, but she felt that she had no better choice.
Not even for a second did she consider ordering any alcohol, despite being in a tavern. She had absolutely no tolerance for the stuff – the last time she had drank a sip of wine, she was forced to leave the room, gagging. Instead, she simply ordered water, as well as some soup.
Her meal was largely uneventful. At one point, one of the numerous drunkards had stumbled over to her table and slurred something about wanting to go for a dance. Solana stopped him with a scathing look, and that was that. Finishing with her food, she set down her glass and looked up, to see a very odd group of four conversing in a corner. Unlike many of the others, they did not appear to have drunk too much alcohol. By the looks (and smells) of them, two were elves, one was a human (though something seemed odd about him), and one was part vampire. There appeared to be some sort of dispute between three of them and the human. Solana raised an eyebrow, and slid out of her chair, leaving a considerable tip behind.
She was about to leave when the bar maid edged in next to her, a rather odd look on her face. “Excuse me, miss, but do ye know anything about that feller over there?” she said in a half whisper, indicating the strange human involved in the argument with the other three. “He seems to be looking to cause trouble, but I don’t have the faintest why.”
Solana stared blankly for a minute, wracking her brain for memory of this person. Finally she answered, “Can’t say I do, sorry. Do you know his name, maybe?”
“Well, he said sommat sounded like, ‘Anev Ilb'stard’, if that means anything to ye,” the bar maid said with a twisted smile.
Solana picked up her water and took a drink, thinking for a moment. Suddenly, she snorted loudly, getting a considerable amount of water up her nose in the process. Sneezing, she grinned at the bar maid, realizing what his name meant. “He said his name was that, eh? Niiiiice…. Hang on, I’ll go check this out.”
With that, she set down her water, and, smiling amusedly, trailed out after the group of four.
It seemed like a good idea at the time...
Things were moving far too quickly for Emry to fully enjoy the twin looks of surprise, dislike, confusion, and all-around discontent with him from the three individuals at the tavern. His ears - rather his magic - picked up the sound of a fourth person, a barmaid, expressing her unhappiness over the way he'd gotten the other three all up in tangles. It was really quite amusing- the three Elementals were like cats with their backs up once the communication spell had been established - angry and spitting, but really, what were they going to do? Scratch him? Two of them seemed absolutely unaware of their talents and the third didn't seem to have a very good grip on his ...
The person the barmaid had complained to had quickly picked up on his name and followed him out; Emry split ways with the three Elementals who clearly didn't like his company (which really hurt his heart, oh yes) and paused, waiting for this other girl to catch up that he might play with her a while. And maybe obtain from her which direction was which. He waited until something familiar tugged at his senses, coming in his direction - Leviathan.
"The Lord is waiting for you to arrive, if you could be as what it requests to follow me and I will guide you there."
"Waiting for me?" Emry asked snarkily, sniffing in a mockingly pitious manner. "I've been waiting for him!" With that, he flashed the girl tailing him with a charming smile, gave a jaunty wave, and took after Leviathan (who hadn't waited for him, damned fast little bugger).
"We must leave. Now." She stole a glance at the perplexing third party, but let her gaze rest again on the man who gave his name, falsely, as Nev-something. "Farewell, and let fall what may."
Faelin couldn't agree more, "It's about time, let's get to the door before this gets out of hand. None of this concerns us." After tossing a coin on the table for his meal he nodded to the other elf. Clearing a path to the doors for the two of them, his nostrils flared slightly as he picked up the scent of a werewolf. This was too much, why would such a creature be allowed in the tavern? His temper was running a bit hot, and his pace reflected his agitation. To anyone but another elf it might have almost appeared as running. He slowed only after reaching a sufficient distance from the tavern to feel secure.
"That man was pure evil. For an instant I was able to see behind his facade. If fear I may have endangered my clan speaking my name in front of him. I need to warn them." His composure was in complete disarray. Seldom did his emotion reflect outwardly, but he had been caught completely off guard by the man named Nev. Running a hand through his long blond hair, he breathed a deep sigh. Berating himself was getting nowhere, so he forced a calm demeanor over himself, and with his voice no longer filled with unrest he questioned the girl with no name. "What is the news you bring? And please this time... in plain language? I need hear no more riddles of Oliveree. The time of portents has arrived." His keen eyes scrutinized her, "has your mother seen visions? Though I sometimes doubt the old tales, there are moments when it seems the events spoken of old are close at hand." Again the evil of the white haired man visited his thoughts sending a wave of unaccountable fear down Faelin's spine. He was under normal circumstances afraid of nothing, but there was nothing normal about that man. And the other elf, there was something familiar about him as well, but it evaded Faelin. Like a dream upon awakening, the harder he grasped to retrieve it the more elusive it became.
