With only the suggestion from Alden Roland found himself slipping into line just before Willow and grinning at her as best he could without making himself overly obvious.
Listening to the two of them talk he began to understand how people could find friends so important, he'd never had so much fun getting in trouble before. Of course he'd rarely gotten into trouble before but that didn't really change the idea behind the thought.

Of course his new friends also seemed to be completely off their rockers but what did it matter.
" I would love to know what was coming next, I'm fairly certain you might be a little crazy not wanting to know."
He laughed at that and watched the kids milling about in a panic, he was smart enough to know that it didn't serve any purpose to get so confused. If things went wrong they went wrong, and if this was some giant culling they would all break and run for survival, the most level headed would probably survive.

After confusedly gathering her belongings and being herded through the halls of the school to the Great Commons, a sense of nervousness—with a hint of curiosity attached—had begun to steep into Ramiele’s mind. As she’d walked, she had asked around, trying to figure out what was going on, but it didn’t seem like anyone had any ideas—none they were willing to share, anyway. She gave up on asking after a while. She knew many of these people, or rather, knew of them. But she didn't know anyone well enough to say more than "Hello" to them. She was aching to find a familiar face.

Very much to her surprise, that face was Ryuu's. After being placed in a line, she looked around and discovered that she was, in fact, right beside him. For a moment, she considered moving, but didn't want to be left essentially on her own.

"Ryuu!" she said instead. "You're here too! Do you know what all of this is about? I mean, everyone seems so confused." Ramiele gave a small mental sigh of relief—she had been able to speak to him normally. Finally.

He blinked out of his musings to find himself at the girl's face he had seen earlier, Ramiele, if he remembered correctly.

He smiled when she came close, looking quite relieved in the midst of faces that she doesn't seem to know. He listened to her questions and somewhat confused voice before answering.

"Well, from what I've heard from a classmate of mine, this might be something connected to the Elevated although I can't be at all sure," he said, looking thoughtful. He turned his head in the direction of where Willow was standing with Alden and Roland, tilting his head with a curious expression.

Weren't they in different lines? he thought. He wondered if he should too slip under the tape and fall into group with them... after all, it's better to stick with familiar faces than with people who they might not recognize. Then again, Alden hadn't exactly been welcoming.

"What class were you in before you got pulled out?" he asked and kicked up his skateboard and tucked it under his arm, his messenger bag on his side.

"There don't seem to be any more students filtering out. I wonder why they aren't starting with whatever it is they are going to do?" Alden may like surprises but she liked to know what was going on.

The last of the students were finally placed in lines and the doors to the courtyard were opened. Two lines at a time were led to the giant buses that waited occupants. Each line filled one bus and the buses were paired.

Once all students were on the buses, they began to file out of the campus and the same message played over an intercom, "Students, you are about to become part a very important part of our society. You are the brains, the creativity, and the spirit that makes our world so much better than that of our predecessors. As places are prepared for you, we will prepare you in Limbo. Many of you have focused on your mind- not bothering to keep your body fit... in Elevated, you will need both. Enjoy the ride, and remember not to fight over accommodations in the Limbo Barracks once we arrive. You may converse amongst yourselves."

Alden stared forward for a little while, a slow, smug grin beginning to form on his face. Finally he turned to the others, "I told you it was Elevated."

The bus was an interesting change of events, and the fact that they were now headed to elevated was an even better change. Yet somehow Roland couldn't take it to be that simple, somehow he felt that not all was as well as it could be. He was a strange child, that was the truth, he could watch someone do something and then simply do it. He could read something and remember it word for word, and he could do things that normal kids his age couldn't. In fact he was younger than anyone else on the bus, yet that intelligence didn't help him to fight down the illogical feeling that this wasn't going to be the perfect institute of genius he had always wanted it to be. For some reason the circumstance of their leaving bothered them more than he logically new it should have.

Yet when Alden turned to smile at him, stating the obvious and attempting to make himself look good in the process, Roland returned the smile. Maybe all would be well, and if things went wrong at least he did not have to live with it alone. He had friends, that was an interesting matter, he'd never really had friends before, although it wasn't like he had had enemies either. So with the addition of the new companions he began to calm a little, to see things in a different light that allowed him to hope for something better than what he thought was sure to be coming.
" It is indeed Elevated, but have you noticed that their directions and information is all very vague at the best of times?"

This entire day was just too strange. Willow pinched herself to see if she would wake up and everything would be back to normal. But that wasn't the case. Surely she would have woken from the headache earlier if that were true. And Boot Camp? She didn't run, ever, and had elected to go to study hall rather than gym class, every year. Why did Elevated have to exercise? Didn't they get enough of that walking all over campus to their classes?

"What about our stuff? My computer has all my stories, everything I've worked on since coming to school. My swords? Will someone send our personal belongings?" Willow came to the realization that she was a worrier. While the others were having a grand time on the bus ride to new adventures, she was wanting nothing less than the comfort of her own little space. Even the presence of Alden and Roland wasn't enough at the moment to settle her unease.

Alden shook his head, "Have adults ever been anything but vague? Soon as we get off the bus, we can form a raiding party to get some answers. Considering they let us keep what we had one us," he motioned toward the various hovers, laptops, and his own skateboard, "I'm sure they'll send for our stuff. I believe I remember seeing too many buses for the amount of lines... so it may be behind us."

Shrugging, Alden cemented his role of the carefree one. "I expected a life of hard labor and screaming ninnies that resemble this beautiful face ahead of me... so I'm not complaining." He nudged Willow teasingly, "Besides, Wil, what's a bit of exercise next to a lifetime of Trade? Why do you think I've been working out? 'Cause I like it?" Saying this, he let out a deep chuckle.

Ramiele answered as the lines started moving toward the buses. "It was Agriculture, with Cooper. She'd just been about to hand out a pop quiz when we got called, actually. I was the only one out of my class, though..." She looked back toward the classrooms, wondering what her friends would think. Judging from the rumors about Elevated, she might never see them again.

The message rang out through the buses, confirming both the theory that it was an Elevated meeting and her own fears about returning. If ever, that return would definitely not be coming up soon.

After one last wistful look back, Ramiele decided it would be best to simply look ahead. From the sound of things, life in Limbo would not be easy. It doesn't do to always look back--how can you see what obstacles lie ahead?

"Ah..." was all Ryuu said before following her aboard a bus, of which he simply took a quick glance at. It was amazing that they, of all people, were now considered elevated, taking in what they had just said over the speakers.

Well, we're on the same bus as that other group of people, of which includes Willow, he thought as he sat down near the front with Ramiele. He placed his skateboard across his lap and looked around himself.

There were several very smart students in here, along with the few that seemed absolute bewildered at the idea that they were even considered Elevated.

However, why were they selected? Were they ever going to come back? Ryuu took a quick glance out of the window, carefully remembering the images of the school into his mind before turning his attention away. What were they in need of their skills to make them into the Elevated? He couldn't shake off the eerie feeling that touched him, as if something bad was going to happen or other. He glanced around and no one else seemed to be wary of that fact except...

He glanced at Roland, who seemed to be thinking about something while listening to Alden. Ryuu turned his attention away.

"Where do you think we're going?" he asked Ramiele.
