Roland himself certainly wasn't opposed to the company, but it seemed a frivolous thing to desire, and it would probably only serve to hold him back so as he watched Alden talking to the other boy he simply slipped out the door. Once in the hall he quickly pulled his small handheld computer and began to download a map of his progress. The program was simple and would mark his path as he progressed so he would have a map of the layout. It had worked in the past when he had to change methods of escaping from those who had come to put him back in his classes. As he walked he looked quietly for some sort of ventilation duct and searched for paths that were used only by the servicemen of the strange complex. If he could walk a path that the typical routine guards wouldn't follow he would be more than likely to get somewhere they didn't want him. He assumed they allowed those here to walk the halls with what would seem like freedom, but in reality it was probably just to keep them from venturing too far into the things they weren't supposed to see. However those were really the only things Roland was interested in seeing. If he'd cared about the things everyone could see at will he'd simply have asked someone else who came out to do a little exploring. |

A lattice work of hallways, sidewalks, and gyms made up the majority of was considered 'Limbo'. Off of these hallways and sidewalks, you could find the barracks, kitchens, dining hall, or offices. All of these were perfectly acceptable exploration grounds. On the surface, it all appears to be clean- just a transitional stage between life before and the perfection to come. Beyond that level, however, are the dark places- the dank and dirty recesses where secrets lie and seep destruction into life. They can be accessed only if you know where to look- or have a quick eye... for the entrances to the secrets are not found or obtained through conventional sneaking- but through the careful reveal of hidden doors. Alden chuckled and nodded toward the door, continuing to play with his board, "Guess that's your answer. I don't think we got off on quite the right foot. I'm Alden." |

Ryuu turned his gaze towards the door and noticed that Roland disappeared. "Well, at least if he wanted company, all he had to do was ask," he said with a sigh. He shook his head for a moment before he decided he'll follow Roland on out, wondering for a moment if he'd jump not knowing he was behind him. Ryuu's skateboard was under his arm when he looked over towards Alden. "Right, I'm Ryuu, pleasure to meet you, Alden," he said with a smile. "Sorry for my behavior earlier, I suppose..." he paused before continuing, "You skateboard as well?" His piercing aquamarine eyes glanced in the skateboard's direction before resting his gaze on Alden as he waited for his reply. |

Alden shrugged, "I feel it gives more control than the various hovers... plus," Alden flipped the board up and caught it, showing off the design on the bottom of the board, "it gives me a reason to get creative." |

Ryuu looked at the design. -insert the description of the design- "Very interesting and yeah, I agree, it does let us get creative," he smiled. He kicked up his skateboard as well, revealing the bottom of a bunch of musical notes jumbled together with measures floating around in the background. "Shall we go follow Roland anyway?" he said, pointing towards the door. |

Alden chuckled, "Nah, I suggested he go get in some trouble while I make sure nothing happens to our girl here. She's had a pretty rough day. I don't know if you'll even be able to find him now- it seems Roland's developed quite an ability to stay hidden over the years. Try and join him if you want," he leaned back again, his head resting against the wall, "but I'm staying right here and wouldn't mind company." |

"True," he agreed, ending up taking out a sheet of a music sheet and a pen as he began scribbling. "How is Willow? What kind of a rough day did she have?" He paused a moment before replying further. "If that's so, then I'll just stay here and keep you company, I suppose. " He began to write a few music notes down. "So, what do we do now? Just wait?" |

Moving quickly and efficiently through the halls he focused quickly on searching for another more useful passageway. And as he did so did his small computer, through a combination of sound waves and various other minute functions the computer would help him in locating the air vents and ducts he was searching for, and as an added bonus it would also keep him from falling through any weak floors and uncover any hidden doors that his mortal eyes could not discover. As he walked he also kept a keen eye out for any adult that might be a guard in disguise. If guards stood at attention in one particular area it would simply go to show that the area was one off limits and particularly interesting for one such as him. It was also entirely possible that those in power here would be smarter than your average adult and keep their guards well disguised, but somehow Roland doubted that they would be completely capable of hiding their true nature. Himself, Roland didn't bother to try hiding what he was doing, instead he attempted to hide himself entirely, avoiding other humans as he had been forced to in the past while skipping out on his less than interesting classes. |

The only gatherings of adults were in the offices and around filtered water coolers- normal places for adults to gather. The few who seemed at all guarded were in their desks- and that one cook, heading back toward the kitchen. However, there were some odd spots that, instead of being hollow or showing a secret passage, showed up as denser than other spots in the walls on Roland's computer. Alden shrugged, getting a bit of white paste-like substance from his pack and spreading it over the bottom of his board, "Will's never been in trouble before today... and, well, she got caught by Roland and me and ended up late to Mercer's class. We ended up with Lock Down... but on the way," he jerked his head up toward Willow, continuing with the paste, "she passed out and managed a concussion. So Nurse Thrace listened to our story... and, well," he chuckled, "we got out of Lock Down. Then... the whole secretive call to the buses and this Limbo business wore her out even more. She's a bit high strung..." he grinned, "but I like her. I just wish I'd really noticed her before today." |

As he walked along watching alternately his computer screen and the world around him Roland began to notice the various strange repetition of dense spots across the walls. Whatever they were it was more interesting by far than the various adults running about their day to day lives. Some looked like they might be more than a little nervous about something, but if people in this building were guarding anything he wasn't in the right area to find them. Stepping around a corner away from prying eyes he moved to the wall and began examining the area his computer marked as denser than the others. Using both computer scans and nimble fingers he made a quick search of the thing. Whatever they were doing here he wanted to know about it, and the things they allowed him to know about certainly didn't interest him. It was the way of his intellect to desire whatever information there was to have, especially information they didn't want him to have. Whatever was hidden within these walls he intended to find it, and if there was nothing hidden then he would be both greatly surprised and strangely enough, disappointed. |
