The row of Shinigami appeared simultaneously on the street, surrounding XCUTION entirely. Orochi’s grip tightened on his katana, glaring at the shinigami around him. He then heard footsteps from a few feet away that stopped abruptly. Orochi turned and smirked to see that it was in fact Diego and Kairi, who seemed to be at a loss for what was happening around them. “Wait, what are Vance and the others doing here?” Diego asked, alarmed. He looked at Kai, noticing his shinigami powers had returned once more, his suspicion building as his eyes fell on Orochi. “Maybe they came to apprehend Kai… that’s the only explanation right?” Kairi asked slowly. “But… why are his powers back…I thought Kai was the enemy! What’s going on?” Diego questioned frantically. Suddenly both of them sank to the ground, unconscious. Jakoby stood behind them, lowering his hand and sending a hateful glance at Orochi. “What you’ve done to these kids is inexcusable,” he darkly remarked. Orochi threw his head back and laughed. “It’s only human nature to take advantage of such a perfectly good situation. Think of this a preview of things to come if you Shinigami don’t turn around while you still can.” “We know your abilities dickwad,” Sparra said as he lowered his zanpakuto from his shoulders, “We have nothing to fear from the likes of a coward that gets satisfaction from hiding behind people’s backs.” “Otanashi,” Isshin suddenly commanded, shooting a quick glance at his Lieutenant who jumped when heard his name, “Help Shaddocks escort those children to somewhere safe where they will not be in harm’s way.” “What! But I wanted to stay and fight with you guys!” Jin protested. Isshin’s stoic face hardened and he shot a threatening glare to Jin who gulped and joined Jakoby, quickly hoisting Kairi over his shoulder. Chou shook her head and Sparra snorted. “He would have been a hindrance anyways.” “Quite,” Isshin agreed dryly. Edited by ViBE, Feb 28 2012, 01:04 PM.

Vance brought his Zanpakuto down as he looked ahead at the group in front of him "Been a long timesine I've had a proper fight", He said, smirking Gen looked at all of the Shinigami and gritted his teeth "Filth, I'll show you that we're a force to be reckoned with" Kienzan pulled his book up as Asakura pulled on her gloves. Vance held his Zanpakuto out behind him, he was just itching to rip into them "Bring. It. On." |

“These guys are serious,” Sparra muttered. He looked over, noticing Izumi standing behind him with her rifle aimed at him. Orochi appeared behind Isshin, katana aimed at the back of his exposed neck. Shigeru whipped out a tablet, dragging some items on the screen. The screen lit up and he smirked. “Sure you guys might be a challenge together… but apart you’re nothing. Now, allow me to make things a bit interesting.” “Hey, Isshin let me trade with you -” Sparra began to say. Isshin’s smug expression was the last thing he saw before the noble and his opponent disappeared. “Shit.” Everyone was assigned to their different rooms. Sparra’s lieutenant, Abarai Shinso, looked around with a puzzled expression on his face. He seemed to be in some sort of wide hallway. Shigeru then appeared, grinning at the shinigami before him. “Looks like you’re stuck with me.” “Joy,” Abarai replied wryly. Chou was unamused. Very. From the get-go she had been among the number of people that considered this a pain-in-the-ass mission. She’d rather sit through Kururugi’s lectures then have to do this. Her opponent entered the wide arena and she greeted the person with a glare. “Of course, I figured as much. I always get stuck with a girl.” |

Vance looked across from him and saw someone standing there, holding a book "Funny time to be reading eh?", Vance said, smirking Kienzan said nothing and just pushed his glasses up, he whispered something as he flicked a page over Kai looked at Gen and Gen looked at Kai "We've been here before haven't we?", Gen said, smirking Kai looked back at him though narrowed eyes. He couldn't stand Gen for what he did to Kai, pretending to be his friend just to get his powers, this time he would beat Gen down for the count Asakura looked at Chou as she pulled her gloves down "Okay, time to get serious", Shea, flicking her hair out of her face |

They stood in an isolated field. The sky was overcast and everything was eerily still. Isshin stood across from Orochi as passive as ever. Orochi’s lip twitched into a small smile. “You’re not going to draw your sword? That’s not a smart move if you ask me.” “I suppose it is a good thing I never asked you, then,” Isshin retorted smoothly. He held his head up high, brown eyes narrowed as he stared Orochi down. Orochi’s mouth tightened into a thin line. Who did this man think he was? “Well… your funeral then.” The fullbringer was gone in the blink of an eye. Isshin kept completely still, twisting suddenly when Orochi appeared behind him. A tight grasp gripped Orochi’s wrist, preventing his lethal swing from reaching its destination. “If that is the fastest you are able to move… it would be in your best interest to retreat while you still have a chance,” Isshin warned. He was perfectly unruffled and unbothered, a strong contrast to Orochi, who’s teeth were now grit in frustration and annoyance. In five minutes flat this one man had embarrassed him. He wasn’t going to let that happen again. - Rugged debris and mounds of dirt surrounded Sparra and Izumi. Looking around in vague amusement, Sparra cracked his knuckles, his attention then turning to Izumi who stood patiently in front of him. “You should take a good look around, this is the last view you’re going to get,” said Izumi. Sparra cocked an eyebrow, arms folded across his broad inked chest. “The last view I’m goin’ to get? Look, yer bravery is really admirable and all, but I refuse to fight you. I don’t want to be responsible for killing a living person, let alone a woman at that.” “Excuse me?,” Izumi challenged, “I’m just as capable as any other fighter out there! Don’t let these boobs fool you!” Of all the people he had to fight against. Sparra sighed, running a hand over his face. “Yer human, okay? You may not be innocent, but yer still human and that would go against everything I learned about bein’ a Shinigami if I were to ruthlessly kill you. Cut the attitude and open yer eyes. I’m giving you the opportunity to escape with yer pride intact and you’d be a fool not to take it.” “Pride? You think running away would salvage my pride? What kind of idiot are you? If I have to die here, then so be it,” she declared, “but fortunately for me, I won’t be the one to die first.” She released the trigger, a powerful barrage of energy exploding from the tip of her pistol. It hit Sparra dead on, the region around them igniting brightly and dying down shortly afterwards. Izumi cocked her gun back, turning around to leave. “Where are you going?” She glanced up, eyes widening in dismay at Sparra, who stood in front of her perfectly unscathed sans for the missing wristband on his left arm that had burnt up in the collision. Shocked, Izumi took a few unsteady steps back. “No way… There’s no way in hell you could’ve blocked an attack like that from point blank range!” she exclaimed. “I’ve trained my ass off everyday four years since Umezu’s defeat, kid. I’ve seen and experienced things that you wouldn’t even believe, let alone comprehend. That stunt you pulled on me now, just isn’t goin’ to cut it,” he took a stance, beckoning for her to come at him, “Come at me. I’ll show you that I don’t need a zanpakuto to stop the likes of you.” |

Vance looked at Kienzan who was still reading his book. Vance smirked as he pulled his blade behind him and dashed off of the spot. A hole appeared i front of him as he was running. He smirked and jumped over it as jets of fire began to shoot out from the ground "Fire? This is my kind of party", Vance said, still smirking He turned his head, looking back in front of him, and saw a huge tower of spikes shootng out rom the ground. He skided t a halt and then jumped back as the spikes extended. Kienzan was still standing in the same spot "Is he doing all this?", Vance thought to himself as he looked up and thougt of ho he almost became a shish kebab Kienzan looked out over his glasses right at Vance "You'll never beat me, I can read your every movement and counter it" "You're one of those types then are you?", Vance said, smirking, "Been there, done that....sold the T-Shirt" Kienzan simply smirked as his eyes went back to his book --- Gen and Kai began their ferocious battle with a few violent strikes to each other. They cancelled each ote ou and blocked each others strikes and were forced back due to the force "FINALLY!!! I GET TO GO ALL OUT ON YOU!!!", He bellowed, "DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO NOT KILL YOUR ASS THE LAST TIME WE FOUGHT?!" Kai looked back at him, hate began to run through his veins "I trusted you Gen, I really did. I thought you were actually being genuine", He replied, keeping calm, "But you're just another backstabber, who wants power" "Ohohohohho....we're more a like than you think K-Man", He said smirking "I'M NOTHNG LIKE YOU!!!" Gen smirked, he knew he had struck a nerve and was now going to wait for the following attack Edited by Grimmjow, Feb 29 2012, 09:49 AM.

No matter how fast he went, this shinigami was constantly one step ahead of him. It was like he was mocking Orochi, taunting him, letting the fullbringer know that he was in fact the fastest out of the two of them. Orochi was known for his speed. He took pride in it. And for this man to show up and make it his priority to out stage Orochi... It infuriated him. And here they were again, caught in another tense face-off. The man hadn’t even drawn his sword, Orochi observed, what was he waiting for?! “What’s the matter, why haven’t you drawn your sword? You’re not like the others I’ve fought… they would have at least been more interested in this battle than you apparently are,” he pressed on, hoping to provoke the noble, or at least break through that blank façade of his. Quietly, Isshin adjusted the cuff of his glove, his eyes then focusing on some random point in the cloudy sky above them. After a few moments, his glare leveled Orochi’s, russet piercing through gray. “You should find yourself very fortunate to have an opponent like myself.” Orochi’s thin eyebrows raised a fraction of an inch. “And why should I find myself… ‘fortunate’ exactly?” he asked. Isshin’s eyes narrowed, “Because, unlike Kai Haineko, I am not as naïve. Also, if you had fought against Sparra, despite his strength, he still thinks with his heart over his head. Knowing how your power operates… knowing that one cut is all it takes to be influenced by you, I know you would have used his feelings to your advantage.” Orochi laughed, “So what you’re telling me is that you think you’re the perfect opponent? You think I won’t be able to cut you? You think I won’t be able to see into that heart of yours? I hate to break it to you, Shinigami, but you’re just as vulnerable as everyone else, and I’m about to show you why!” His sword began to glow and he leaped at Isshin, malice full in his eyes. He brought his sword into the air and brought it down… A loud, erratic chime began to ring in his ear drums, stopping him seconds before he made the initial cut. Gritting his teeth in anger, his katana fell out of his hands and he gripped at his ears, trying to do everything in his power to make the damnable ringing stop. Isshin’s hand was on the hilt of zanpakuto. He drew it out to full-length and aimed it at Orochi, who was almost on his knees at that point. “Shinigami? No. I am not just any Shinigami. I am Isshin Kataoka, head of the Kataoka clan, and Captain of the Eleventh Division in the Gotei Thirteen. You, Orochi Noburo, are nothing but a coward. Your ability is nothing to have pride about. All you do is manipulate people’s pasts into something favorable to you, and you use their weakness for nothing but your own abominable gain. Your repulsive, dishonorable mind games will not work on the likes of me. I came here with one purpose, and one purpose only, and that is to slay you. So come at me, Orochi. I will rip you apart before you can dream of cutting me.” |

Vance looked at Kienzan and sprinted of at him. Kienzan simply flicked another page of his book and a steel wall formed in front of Vance who quickly dodged to the right, avoiding the wall. Kienzan flicked another page and another wall foedin front of him. He stepped back, turning his gaze to Kienzan "Seriously?" "I told you once, I now your every movement" Vance gritted his teeth, this wasn't going to be easy for him, but he hadn't trained for four years for it to come to nothing "Alright, if that's how you wanna play it....", Vance began, "I have something for that...." |

“So…” Chou asked nonchalantly, “You’re gonna tell me your ability or whatever? Not to be rude, but we’re really on a tight schedule, here.” She was still mentally kicking herself for agreeing to go with Vance in the first place. Kain had offered, but there were enough men going as is, and she didn’t want it to be a complete sausage fest. Just because she was a parent didn’t mean she had to stay behind and spend the rest of her life living in that role! Chou began to get lost in her own inner rambling about gender inequality and didn’t even register that Asakura was talking to her. She snapped out her thoughts and bashfully laughed at her own absent-mindedness. “I’m so sorry, what was that? I dozed off a bit.” - Abarai was presently locked away in a void with fifty or so various sized monsters. From careful observation, he could sense that their power levels were nothing to be concerned about. And as he ducked around, dodging the sluggish attacks that were thrown at him, he could also determine that these creatures were only serving as a distraction. That boy purposely locked him away so he wouldn’t have to fight him on his own. “So he doesn’t want to be bothered with me? Well, that’s insulting,” Abarai stated. Another poorly aimed swing, and this time Abarai unsheathed his zanpakuto and sliced the monstrous arm cleanly off. The monster let out a pained howl, and Abarai finished by executing a clean slice right down the middle of its torso. It vanished without a trace. That still left him faced with about three dozen more. He gazed down at his reflection that the stainless steel of his zanpakuto cast, his reflection staring sternly back at him. “I really don’t like using my shikai… but Kirahara-taichou told me I should stop relying on my kido so much, so I’ll guess I’ll have to follow orders.” A row of creatures stared hungrily at him. Abarai smirked, running his hand down the length of his zanpakuto’s blade. “Jotünn, freeze!” The spiritual pressure alone was enough to send them sprawling back. He gripped the thin scythe in his hands and wasted no time executing his next attack; with one swing, a white stream of energy issued from it. The reiatsu that had been expelled from his zanpakuto surrounded them, instantly encasing them in a thick block of ice. Abarai extended his right palm, concentrating spiritual energy into it. “Sōkatsui!” he exclaimed. A wide array of vibrant blue reiatsu issued forth, completely obliterating the creatures he had trapped. Spinning around, he quickly slashed down a stray one that appeared behind him, and it too disappeared. His zanpakuto went back into its sealed state and he swiftly resheathed it. The walls around him disintegrated and he was in the wide hallway once more. “Time to find that kid and wrap this up. Jeez, for my first mission with Kirahara-taichou, I thought this would be more of a challenge. Hopefully this kid doesn’t disappoint me… again.” Edited by ViBE, Mar 1 2012, 11:07 PM.

Vance dodged in and outof thespikes that extended out from the floor. He was finding this really annoying and was losing his patience with this guy. He hadn't even moved from the spot, it was like he was mocking him. He couldn't be taking this, especially now that he was a Captain. He sheathed his Zanpakuto and closed his eyes "Never thought I would have to resort to this" He aimed his two fingers right at Kienzan as his rieatsu began to increase. Kiezan pushed his glasses up and flicked the page "You are a fool, what is sheathing your sword going to do?" "I don't aways need my Zanpakuto to fight, I'm a Captain now, so I had to learn not to always rely on the blade" "A mistake that will cost you I'm sure" "No one asked for your opinion....." |
