Sony PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 camcorders are capable of capturing HD, 2K, QFHD (3840×2160) and true 4K (4096×2160) for users’ options. They are the first camcorders to adapt the newest XAVC format which has brought some problems inevitably. In order to edit Sony PMW-F5 XAVC in FCP X or even FCP 7/6 with ZERO original quality loss, the wisest choice is to use the third-party software—XAVC Video Converter for Mac to convert XAVC footages to ProRes 422 MOV–favorable format for Final Cut Pro. It is considered to be the best assistance to help import Sony PMW-F55 XAVC to FCP and edit Sony PMW-F5 XAVC in FCP with time and effort saving. Note: You can also install the plug-in “plugin “PDZK-LT2 vs1.10″ which allows users to edit XAVC in FCP X, that sounds great, but the only fly in the ointment is that the original quality might be degraded. The XAVC footage is a peripheral non-standard format which is not supported by FCP 6/7/X. XAVC to Prores Converter allows you to convert XAVC video files from Sony PMW F55 and F5 camcorder to Apple Prores 422(HD)(.mov), Apple Prores 422(LT)(.mov), Apple Prores 422(Proxy)(.mov), Apple Prores 422 (.mov), Apple Prores 4444 (.mov) etc to Final Cut Pro x, 6, 7 for editing. Note: If you are running Windows please refer to XAVC Video Converter for Windows to help you handle all XAVC problems easily. |
