Have you ever stood on the first tee, addressed the ball, and found yourself unable to hit your golf shot? Likewise, have you ever arrived on the 18th green only to find a throng of people surrounding it, and then you sense the hush that golf etiquette demands, and it overpowers you, so you that you cannot move the putter because it feels frozen in your hands. I have been in both these situations before, and have coped very badly with them. I have fluffed my drive off the first tee, and hit a putt with burner 2.0 irons at least seven feet past the hole because I have been overcome by fear. Call it butterflies, if you prefer. That said, I found a way of coping with this condition and it has ceased happening to me again. Here is what I did: 1. As I address the ball I raise the club from burner 2.0 irons for sale online shop off the ground, which is I hover the club head just above the ball. 2. I start the swing by moving the club head of callaway diablo edge irons to the left of the ball, by a few inches, and immediately after doing this I begin the back swing. It takes a little getting used to at first but if you try it on the practice ground first, it could help you. One other thing to try as an alternative to this is the forward press, which means you start the back swing with diablo edge irons straight after you have moved your hands slightly forward at the address position. That is, you address the ball as normal, and the first movement is made by the hands moving slightly to the left, then you go straight into the back swing. I hope you have found these tips useful. |
