Golf swing power CAN be improved. Anyone who says that long hitters are born, and not created, only has it half right. The truth is, some people just naturally do the correct things to create high club-head speed. However, this does not mean that short hitters can not learn these same elements-- then perform them better. The keys to attaining golf swing power are: 1) Create correct angles in the backswing 2) Deepen those angles through transition (or lag) 3) Release those angles on the downswing with r11 irons for sale If you observe good players who lack golf swing power, they do #1 and #3 very well. Their lack of distance is a direct result to the absence of element #2. They simply do not deepen the angles enough through transition. Often times, when these players try to lag better, their swings with taylor made burner 2.0 go awry. That's because they are trying to manufacture the lag instead of letting it happen naturally. The key to increasing lag naturally is to use the GROUND. Short hitters swing ON TOP OF the ground whereas long hitters swing with burner 2.0 irons INTO it. Consider a powerful athletic movement like baseball pitching. Notice how a pitcher compresses his rear leg into the mound before unleashing a 95mph fastball. He is using the ground as resistance to create incredible body speed. Without this compression, his velocity would be greatly diminished. Golf swing power is created the exact same way. The legendary Ben Hogan had a very powerful swing with taylor made r11 irons. He said that the secret to great golf was "in the dirt". Many took this to mean that you needed to dig up a lot of dirt-- as in practice. I think he intended a more literal interpretation; the secret is in the DIRT...or the GROUND BENEATH YOUR FEET! He was saying that the most critical element to the golf swing was a player's connection to the ground. Learn to create and maintain resistance against the ground as Ben Hogan did, and you will vastly improve your golf swing power. |
