Golf is primarily a game of concentration. The difficulty most of us have is keeping our concentration fixed on the job in hand for three hours or more. Inevitably the mind wonders, sometimes at the critical moment just as we are playing a golf shot, and the end result is a bad shot, which needn't have happened. Here is my simple solution. By all means indulge in the social banter on the golf course, it is difficult to be silent in company for many hours at a time, but when it comes to actually playing your golf shots with best golf clubs be completely mentally focused on playing the shot in hand to the exclusion of everything else that's going on around you. This is the serious part of the game, the part where games are won and lost. Use your imagination to prepare yourself mentally for the shot as you walk up to your ball. Try to approach the shot in a direct line between the ball and the target. As you walk to your ball, see yourself playing the shot with taylormade golf clubs, and visualize the result of the shot being as you intended. See the ball landing where it is supposed to. Using your mind in this way will help you to avoid playing many bad golf shots with individual golf irons for sale in your round. If I am honest with myself, I know when I remember the bad golf shots I have played most of them have been the result of poor concentration. Never underestimate the power of the imagination in golf. Try this simple tip for yourself, and I am confident you will take up to 5 shots off your golf score immediately. |
