The Panasonic SDR-S26 is a standard definition camcorder with a killer 70x optical zoom lens—the longest optical zoom in the consumer marketplace. Headline features of the Panasonic SDR-S26 include its 70x zoom and the accompanying optical image stabiliser. You'll need a rock-solid tripod if you want to make proper use of this, however. At this degree of zoom, even a tiny tremor results in extremely wobbly footage.

To start with the Panasonic SDR-S26 measures in at 56 x 65 x 107 mm, so it easily allows you to wrap your hand around it with ease. Moreover the camcorder weighs just about 235 g - making it very light to carry around. The main reason for the S26 to be so undersized and light is mainly due to the fact that it doesn’t feature a hard drive. However it does come with an SD card slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB – a limiting factor of the SDR-S26. So going by the maximum memory supported the camcorder will be able to record a maximum 7 hrs of video in XP mode (10Mbps), which is the highest quality that it can record. However you can achieve close to 27 hrs of video recording in LP mode (2.5Mbps).

It's known to us that the Panasonic SDR camcorders can be mainly classified to SDR-S and SDR-H two series. Most of them records video in MPEG2 MOD. Unluckily, not all the Panasonic MOD files can be compatible with Mac player or editing programs. In the case, convert Panasonic SDR MOD files to Mac friendly file format like MOV can be an effective solution.

The MOD Converter for Mac can seamlessly convert the Panasonic SDR MOD to mac MOV for QuickTime, iMovie or FCP. Plus, the Mac Panasonic video converter can also act as MOD Video Editor for Mac, so you can easily trim MOD files, merge multiples MOD videos into one, cut out the unwanted edges, edit video effects, etc.
