Are you struggling with the speed of your putts? Speed on putts is incredibly important, especially if you consider that there are only two factors with putting and that is speed and line. So you need the correct speed, but how do you figure out the speed? Read on to find out. There are a few different things you need to do to get the speed on your putts. First, you need to start by warming up your putting correctly. This includes warming up short putts, mid range putts, long putts, and lag putts with cheap golf clubs. If you don't warm anything else up, you need to warm up your putting. It is the most important part of your warming up. The second thing you need to do is get a feel for the speed of the greens. This is done in the warm up, but is also done during your round. You need to make adjustments throughout your round. When you are having trouble feeling the greens for speed you need to just take a stroke by feeling instead of thinking. You can even go as far as closing your eyes so that you can get the feel for the speed. There is one more way to really work on the speed of your putting. The last thing you should do before you stroke the ball towards the hole is to look at the hole. Have you ever been in a room with the light on and then turned it off? You can still see the light bulb for a a few seconds. This is the same strategy with looking at the hole last before you stroke your putt with cheap golf clubs. The best way to do this is to look at the hole for about 5 seconds, then look at the ball and start your stroke. By applying these strategies you will be able to get a feel for the speed of your putt. This will help you get the putt closer to the hole each and every single time. You can shave a few strokes off your game just with these putting tips alone. So start practicing these strategies and make sure to warm up in order to get a better feel for the speed of the putts you will be making. |
