Well, I made this special poll because the science of bullying states that a person is either a bully, victim, and bystander. There is always two, never one. Come here and tell the truth, we shall not bite. If you're a bully, fear not, confession your sins is a way to repent. Repentence is the way to God. God Bless You my child... JK! I know some of us aren't reaaly religious. I can say I'm not religious too. If you're a bully, then shame on you. Why bully for power? That's the reason they invented money. I simply hate bullying. It's ridiculous. :shake: If you bully, I hope you apologize your victims for it, saying it's just a joke. But at some times, jokes are not jokes.

Hmm. Not sure I get into any of these. My ego is wayyyyy too big deep down to be bothered by anything insulting, and I don't really spectate or commit any acts of bullying. Also since I'm in sixth form the whole thing is a bit kiddy now. People in our sixth form have their exams to fear.

I'm a bystander? But that makes hardly any sense, because what if the "bystander" helps the victim overcome the bully? And that's me, if my friend is the victim.

Bystander. (When someone is rarely being bullied here)
What do you mean there's always two? o_O
I guess I'm lucky.. my area/school is pretty nice.
Edit: And yeah what Matt said for the friend part.

I wouldn't say I'm a victim in the sense of "OMG I'M MENTALLY SCARRED FOR LIFE". In a technical sense, I am, as I am attacked against my will.

I mean a bully attacks his prey where he wants people to see. Also, a bystander can also be a bully because they bully people too. You can also be a bully and victim because bullying can cause a victim to be a bully, to pass on this sin on school districts. Get what I'm saying?

I got everything but that.
Do you mean they join in?

I'd still say I'm just one though. =P

Bystanders are bullies? So what's the term used for people who are not bullied, and do not bully others either?

I exist.
Bystander, for the most part. But the internet is serious business, so I must bully my way to success.

The Internet? Why bully on the Internet? Its serious business, true. But as long as you try not to bully harshly, then its ok. I get picked on everyday at school... I swear if only I can eat their souls and devoir their bodies, I'll...

I only do it for the lulz, or whenever I become extremely bothered by someone. Otherwise, I'm pretty easy to hang around with. In real life, though, I don't have much problems. People respect me, so I respect them back, and that's the end of it.

That's how it should be. People should respect others no matter what. But bullies don't do that. They only respect themselves... :shake:

If the "bystander" helps the victim, they're... the guy who helps the victim. Not really any of the three.

I guess out of the three I'm a bystander. I don't do any bullying (I pick on people a lot, especially friends, but they always know I'm joking and that it's all in good fun) and I can't ever recall being a victim, so yeah.

I don't know, really.

I wouldn't consciously seek to harm someone for no reason or to "improve my street cred", but if anyone harms me or tries to, by gawd, I will lash out at them as viciously as I can, in self defence. But on the other hand, I don't care too much if someone is being bullied, and I tend to ignore it if I see it... As a general rule, I don't give a toss about most people, unless I have reason to.
Unless it's someone that I care about/have some form of loyalty to (which number a few), and then I will intervene and defend them as well. And I stopped being a victim after one of my suicide attempts and realised that I was better than the lowlife scum that drove me to that.

Unfortunately for me, it's not just people of the same gender in my school, and most people there are chauvinistic (I think that's the correct word for this situation) and stupid, and are like "ZOMG, GIRL HIT YOU, YOU NOT HIT GIRL BACK. IF DO, WE GO IN UR BASE, AND PLAY LOUD RAP MUSIC TO ALL UR DOODS!" Just because she was a Year 7. and a girl does not mean I didn't have the right to attack her for slapping me round the face.

It would be so much better if "He/she started it" was considered fair by those retards who like to call themselves staff members at my shit-hell-prison. That way the people who start things get punished, and if anyone tries to stop them using force (i.e. hitting them repeatedly, preferably until they die), then they don't get punished. I mean, I haven't been punished for hitting people back, or stabbing them with pens, but they do punish people who retaliate to get people to stop, and I have literally been told not to defend myself.

My general rule is the same as yours, not because I don't give a toss, but because I'm not going to risk getting myself injured in the process, unless it's someone worth that risk (so, not many people). If I had a Death Note, and there was a hypothetical situation in which I was 100% sure that someone was bullying someone else (so, if they were retaliating then they don't fit into this), then I would make them stop immediately and commit suicide away from the scene. This is no joke, as any pupil in my school is old enough to know better.

Edit: In the last situation, I'd not be a victim, bystander or bully. I'd be "justice".
Edit2: The top part of my message was a response to the first part of your message, not the bit about suicide attempts. :(

Perhaps that is true, because I don't witness much happening to others, and I occasionally get attacked by retards trying to annoy me. Goddammit I would love to punch some of them repeatedly in their faces...

Now, if I had a Death Note...

Lol, seriously though, some of them should be attacked repeatedly, until they are very severely injured or dead, for initiating combat upon unconsenting individuals.
