Water & Air Bender

Character Details Name: Sora Age: 19 Gender: Male Bending Type: Air Bender Nation Of Origin/Current Location: Fire Nation / Western Air Temple Status: Good Items/Weapons: Glider staff. Along with a small satchel that he wears around his waist to keep food and supplies in. As well as money. His flying bison is his only companion in his solitude. Background: Sora was born during the middle of summer on a hot sweltering day. His parents were both from the Fire Nation and he was raised with his parents from till the age of three. At age three they discovered that he had great promise to become an Air Bender. Which they feared due to the country in which they lived. Shortly before Sora's fourth birthday he was brought to the western air temple. From that time on he trained with monks who treated him like a son. Though he should have been sent to the Northern, or Southern Air temples right away. Four years later when Sora had turned eight years old he had mastered some of the beginner techniques of air bending and had begun to practice martial arts. Though of the monks approved of this method and wished for him to pursue a more spiritual path. A year later at the age of nine Sora was allowed to be joined with a young air bison. This was also the first time he met with Aang the avatar. His selection became his closest companion Yun. At this point in time it was with great displeasure that the monks of the Western Air Temple asked that Sora go with Monk Gyatso to the Southern Air Temple for more training. With this Sora left the Western air temple. Once at the Southern Air Temple Monk Gyatso began Sora's training alongside Aang's. They became close friends and over the course of the next few years became somewhat inseperable. Three years later at age twelve Sora was riding around the mountains on Yun and came along a traveler from the Earth Kingdom who was injured. Sora helped the traveler who in return gave him a set of clothes and shoes much unlike the normal clothes that a monk would wear. At the time Sora kept them in safe keeping after seeing the man go. Shortly after the traveler left Sora asked to go back to the Western Air Temple and Gyatso granted his request. After returning to the Western Air Temple he receive a warm reception. Over the course of the next six years Sora and Yun continued to journey from the Western Air Temple and Southern Air Temples regularly. When he learned of Aang being the Avatar he returned to the Southern Air Temple to find that Aang wasn't there. Monk Gyatso told him to travel back to the Western Air Temple to find Aang and return after a short stay. Dawning his Black and white close that he recieved from the traveler long ago he set off. As he arrived at the Western Air Temple he quickly went to ask the monks if they had seen Aang. It had been Two days since Sora had been at the Western Air Temple as he packed his bags to get ready to leave his home once again. Personality: He was taught by monks never to show emotion in and be spiritual. He has had much training in this but has never really sunk in. He tends to feel for others and will quickly go to the aid of someone in trouble. He tends to Character Appearance Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Blue Clothing: Compared to the other Air nomads and benders, Sora wears black shorts and a white tank top and black shoes. He received them from a earth bender that had passed through years ago when he was a child. Skin Tone: Lightly Tan Height: 5'9” Weight: 147lbs. Accessories/Other: Wears a white belt around his was with a small look in the back to carry his glider staff. As well as a bracelet that was from his mother. Physical Description: Sora is one of the a select few monks that train in martial arts as well as practicing air bending. He is more physically tone than other benders because of his second training regiment. His muscles don't bulge but they are noticeable through his skin. He also lacks the tattoos of the air bender. Bending Development: Beginner Personal Styles: As an air bender, Sora was taught to keep his cool and be more spiritual. However when Sora gets to excited he prefers to using air slices and waves getting him more into the battle. |
