Character Details Name: Hyr Age: 22 Gender: Male Bending Type: Earth Bender Nation Of Origin/Current Location: Earth Kingdom / Omashu Status: Good Items/Weapons: Hyr typically carries a canteen of water just in case he has to go somewhere with someone. Background: Hyr was raised in Omashu with his parents who loved him dearly. After spending the first portion of his childhood running around with friends and pulling pranks, at the age of 10, he learned of his Earth Bending abilities and told his parents he wanted to further his abilities by learning from a master. After a few conversations and arguments with his parents, they decided he would learn from his own father, who was skilled in Earth bending. He began the basic lessons. He first had to take endurance training to prove he could stand his ground and not run away. The endurance training lasted four long years and he finally was able to stay on his feet when his father created a small shock wave when hitting the ground. Hyr then began to learn the basics of Earth bending and practiced every day, every night, and every morning. He wanted to be able to impress the girls in Omashu. After four years of the basic training, his father garbed his son in the sandbending garments and he hoped that one day he could be able to sandbend, but that would come with time, and patience. One night when his father was invited to a large party being hosted by a more rich family in Omashu, he took him, and he met the girl of his dreams at the party. They both immediately fell in love with each other. Two years after meeting the woman of his dreams, they married and a year later she bore their first child. Hyr and his wife were excited more than anything. But the excitement was cut short when his wife disappeared in a sandstorm that enveloped Omashu suddenly, and just as it came, it went, and she was gone. He stayed in Ba Sing Se to look after the child. Personality: Hyr is usually laid back, and will listen to whoever speaks to him, and if asked a question he'll respond with the best answer possible. He tries to be nice to everyone he sees and talks to, but he sometimes gets annoyed with the disrespect he gets, and can yell at people. Character Appearance Hair Color: Dark Brown Eye Color: Brown Clothing: Hyr is garbed in the traditional sandbender clothes. He wears a sun tanned cloth over his head to keep the heat from getting to him. It wraps around the top of his head down over his ears and around his neck. The excess of the wrapping hangs down from his shoulder. Everything on his chest and arms are a much lighter tan that is held up by a pin at the top right part of his chest. Towards the forearms, the sleeves become very baggy and hang down. His hands are covered by sun tanned bandages that cover his forearms and hold the sleeves in place since they wrap around between his fingers to make sure no slippage is allowed. The bottom half of his body is covered by more sun tanned clothes and bandages. At his waist, there is a white cloth that wraps around his shirt and pants to keep his pants and shirt in place. His pants are very baggy so they allow heat to pass through, and they are stopped at his knees where more sun tanned bandages wraps around the legging to assure they stay in place at the knees. His feet are wrapped above the ankle and between his ankle and toes. Skin Tone: Dark Tan Height: 5'7" Weight: 165lbs Accessories/Other: One brown bag on his hip to carry important scrolls. Physical Description: Standing at 5'7", Hyr is average height, possibly a little short. He keeps himself in shape by eating correctly, practicing his bending, and making sure he excersizes. Bending Development: Beginner Personal Styles: Hyr will typically defend himself and tire out his opponent before striking with force. The attacks are usually several rocks thrown from different angles to make the opponent try and dodge some and possibly get the chance they'll move in front of another rock.
