    -Zoistian Space


    Zoist: Capital of the Zoistian Star Empire. Zoist is a lush world, with jungles, forests, ad mountainous regions. there are a number of massive cities that house most of the population. but there are also small settlements thoughout the safe zones of the imperial cities. Zoist is home of the zoistians, and member speices who wih to live in the cities.

    Unfortunly, it is also home to the parastic Kal-taar, who have now become numerous thoughout all worlds within the empire.

    Mantel Fleet Yards: A massive station in orbit of Zoist. it constrcuts all sorts of ships that are used in and out of the empire. from civilan, to military. it is heavily guarded by the 2nd Fleet.

    Vaygr Prime: Headquarters of Mantel Global Industries, a large corporation that supplies the empire with almost everything, mostly weapons, military equipment, sometimes even soldiers from it's private security force.

    Vaygr III: Home to the Human Colonists. Vaygr III is mostly a jungle world, with mountains. altough the humans have dozens of city's on the planet.

    Belnar: Belnar is home of the Khil species. the belnar is covered in advanced metropolises, wide open spaces, and dank marshes.

    Outwardly, the Zoistians were similar in appearance to Human stock, but had large, pointed ears. Depending on personal status. like humans, the zostians have diverse looks and appearences, with a number of skin colors, eye colors andeven hair colors. The zoistians are a long-lived species, with elder individuals living for more than 400 years, making the zoistians very knowledgable. the zoistian people are also the founders of the empire.

    Human Colonists.

    humans were a recent addiction in the empire. when a single colony ship of 500,000 came to it's bordors. they were welcomed with open arms and were allowed to settle on their new homeworld of Vaygr III.

    Khil

    The Khil are a sentient species native to the planet Belnar. They were among the earliest member species of the zoistian empire, and can be seen almost everywhere in the empire. Khil were involved at all levels of the empire's society, acting as soldiers, scientists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and politicians. in general, Khil were dedicated and ambitious people, with little tolerance for laziness or time-wasting. From infancy, they were taught to work hard and strive for leadership positions. They were often slightly arrogant, convinced that nothing was beyond their abilities if they only applied enough effort. Though their tenacity usually served them well, they were sometimes prone to severe mood swings, and even nervous breakdowns, when faced with high stress or a lack of progress.

    Their intensely driven, sometimes arrogant nature was tempered by a strong loyalty to family and a usually polite and friendly demeanor. Khil got on well with most other species in the empire, and easily integrated non-Khil neighbors into their culture.

    Volus.

    The volus are a member species of the Empire with their very own embassy, but they are also act as a client race. They hail from Irune, which possesses a high-pressure greenhouse atmosphere able to support an ammonia-based biochemistry. As a result, the volus must wear pressure suits and breathers when dealing with other species.

    Volus culture is dominated by trade, whether it be of land, resources, or even other tribe members. The volus have a reputation as traders and merchants, and many work as some of the best financial advisers in zoistian space. Because the volus are not physically adept, they tend not to be very violent, and can even seem overly-pacifistic and cowardly to other, more militant species. Their inability to provide adequate soldiers for themselves and the imperial military is a primary reason for not yet being inducted into the empire as Official members, but are under the protection of the empire and are treated as citizens.


  • History:


Formerly a member of the Galactic Republic, the Zoistian Star Empire draws much of its strength from the tattered husks of the old republic, but was restricted to it's own sector due to outside threats. Its goal is to unite other former members under its sovereign control, and to create a new government, more stronger then the republic ever was. unfortunately that has little chance of happening, although they have Success in bring in sevreal races into the fold, the khil, human colonists who came 100 years ago, to find a safe place to live, and the volus, who aided the empire in trade, greatly improving the economy. The emperor, Shi'ari III, has maintained control of his terriroy for 240 years and seeks the same future for the galaxy like those before him and will do what it takes to create unity in the chaotic galaxy..

Technology

  • Power:

    Geothermal: used for powering the cities and starships of in empire, while not as powerful as antimatter. geothermal power is still a reliable source of energy for cities and bases thoughout the planets.

    Antimatter: used to power all imperial ships and stations. antimatter is a vauble source of energy and is used completely for the military and only. while geothermal as well fuels the ships, antimatter is considered a better choice to power the navy's vessels and the army's armored units. antimatter is obtained and refined thougth the use of Fusion Reactors.

    Fusion Reaction: Fusion reactors, while provide energry and fuel for both military and civilian alike. has been used to help collect antimatter to power the warships of the imperial navy.

  • Production: several huge factories owned by Mantel Global Industries. produce large amounts of items, goods, weapons, armor and etc. thoughout the empire. they are located on vaygr prime, where mantel's HQ is as well.
  • Propulsion:

    Sublight drive: the slowest method of travel. the chosen ship which travels in sublight is at normal speeds and would take weeks to get to one planet to another, even years to travel to another system.

    Hyperdrive: Hyperdrive propulsion systems are vital starship components in order to traverse the vast distances of space at faster-than-light speeds, and thus were a key technology in the foundation of the zoistian empire, and others. hyperspace is the best way to travel in the empire.

    Warp Drive: another way to travel faster then light, but curves space, the ship would be able to reach it's target location, but it would take a few hours in order to get to one system, to another. but, warp proves very effective second to hyperspace.

  • Technological Infrastructures: Holo-Network, it fuctions like the internet but is an holo touch-screen projector.
  • Weapons:


    Mass Driver: even the imperial military has advanced technology at it's command. the use of mass driver weapons has not died out in the human parts of the military. witrh the help of mantel, mass driver weapons became widespread use in the infantry forces. a number of weapons that use bullects became standerd weapons, but lasers took the majority.

    Missiles: the misslies are mostly used as anti-armor weapons and secondary weapon for fighters, bombers and other small ships. special typs of tanks have been known to use misslies as an anti-air weapon.

    Energy Weapons: A variety of energy weapons are in service of the military, they mostly are the weapons built on warships, a hand-held rifle, or the main gun of a tank. the typs vary from blasters, ion cannons and laser cannons etc.

  • Defenses:a new typ of shield had been created to better protect warships, a hybrid between deflector and dispersal shields. when under attack, a ship's shields would create a sphere of the ship's size around it. this bubble shield can withstand a number of attacks, mainly projectiles and lasers, but not ion. altough this shield is a life savor, it has it's flaws. the shield can only hold for so long. it only last for five mintues in combat when in full power and in sphere mode, and it has to recharge for about half an hour to be used in full power again, but afterwards, the shields will go back in regular level.
  • Utility Technologies: Stargates, the renmants of Ancient Technology. a secondary form of transportation besides travel by ship. but stargate travel is limited between the 14 worlds in the empire.
  • Notable Achievements:

    Nectar:

    Nectar is a performance-enhancing pharmaceutical drug that gives the user better speed, accuracy and strength. It can make the soldier see only enemies and cut out surrounding images of destruction and death. although, an overdose of Nectar is dangerous and can lead to loss of control or death. that is why nectar is only used as a last resort, and most soldiers prefer it that way.

  • Standard of Living: Great, the people of the empire enjoy an life-stlye that of the earth country, the U.S.. unlike most empires. the zoistian empire enbraces the rights of all who live within it.
  • Foreign Relations: the empire is friendly to those who come in the name of peace or traders who come under the good intensions of trade and is strongly against smuggling. although the zoistians and fellow memeber races can trust easily, some effort has to be made in order to fully gain their trust.
  • Population Density: Depends on which planet. examples would be Zoist, Belnar and Vaygr III, whose populations mostly live in large advancved cities, while on the industry world of Vagyr Prime, istead of large cities, settlements are streched thoughout the planet into small towns, where the only towering buildings are Mantel Corp factories.


Military

  • Organization:

    Imperial Zoistian Army: standerd ground forces, they conduct all ground invasions and planetery defence

    Imperial Navy: tasked with the defence of imperial space and to combat all space-borne threats.

    S.O.A.R.: The Special Operations And Reconnaissance(S.O.A.R.) is a Special Forces Agency that conduct recon and scout missions in enemy territory. they are the best in stealth ops.

    Imperial Guard: The marine corps of the empire. the guard are the spec ops and the elite who are tasked with missions behind enemy lines or act as infantry in full-scale battles.

    Praetorian Guard: The Praetorian Guard an an elite military force controlled by the Emperor himself. They were renowned and feared throughout the empire for their fanatical fighting abilities, and used ruthlessness, cruelty and deceit to accomplish their goals. many commanders have deployed them for the most fiercest engagements, but they were never trusted by most members of the military due to their history. although they are elite, they lack numbers, with only 2,500 members in total, their HQ is the imperial battle carrier Emperor's Fury

  • Ground Forces: large, with each planetery Regiment numbering to 30 million
  • Interstellar: there are over three fleets in the empire. each consisting of 370 vessels. each fleet fills in a role to support one another in times of war.
  • General Military Strategies:

    The zoistian military has formidable discipline. Officers and NCOs are 'lifers' with years of field experience. and no matter what, imperial units don't break. Even if their entire line collapses, they fall back in order, setting ambushes as they go.

    Command and control is decentralized and flexible. Individual squads can call for artillery and air support. They make extensive use of combat droids for light duties, and practice combined arms: infantry operates with armor, supported by overhead gunships or fighters.

    The zoistians recruit auxiliary units from member races of the empire. Auxiliaries are generally light infantry or armored cavalry units that screen and support the main battle formations.

    While for space battles. imperial fleets often use the scare tactic and overwhlem the enemy with swarms of fighters and bombers, followed by heavy hitting assaults by groups of seven capital ships, mostly destroyers, cruisers and frigates. with carriers remaining behind as long range support units and refueling points for fighter squadrons.

  • Aggression: semi-aggressive, the imperial military is highly protective. on every world, each Regiment is battle-ready and can repel any threat. once countered, other planetery Regiments are alerted of hostile activity and are constantly on the move to quickly push back the hostile invaders.

Roleplaying Sample:

Vaygr III
Somewhere in the jungles near Terra City

"Keep firing!" shouted an human captain. dont let those things get to the city!"

A large battle line was set-up around the southern jungles near terra city, one of the major spaceports in the empire.

And the creature that the humans are fighting are indeed frighten to encounter. they are call the Kal-taar by the zoistians.

A speices of parasitc reptilians who native on zoist, but due to some "accents" by smugglers, the kal-taar have become quite the dangerous pests in some worlds in the empire.

Swarms of raptor-like creatures charge towards the human positions repeatly. they jump and strike at them, killing four soldiers out of the fifty in the attack. the captain reached his pistol and aimed at the head of one of the cretures. "Die you son of bitch!" he cursed as he shot it, the red blood splattered on his chest plate while another group advances. "Damnit!, fall back and form a defencive position!"

The soldiers then fled while shoting at the enemy to form up near a river. but they were soon traped, when two soldiers got to the river first, several large primate-like kal-taar rise approched from behind, one of them bites off a soldiers head with the rest mauling the body. the second soldier ran from the scene, but was not able to escape,for a group of larva kal-taar were waiting behind a buch and pounced on him and torn him apart. the scream could be heared by the other soldiers. the captain then made an order. "Men, well make our stand here, ill call in for evac and request a small bombardment. we cant let these things get in the city, but if we die.....we die as heros...."

He reached his comm-link and sent the message from orbit.

Sera, High Orbit, 3 hours after the battle had begun
Aboard the Battle Carrier, Peacekeeper

"Adrmiral!" called out a crew memeber aboard the bridge of the Peacekeeper, a Galactic-class Battle Carrier. we got several enemy cruisers coming in point-blank range, they are powering their weapons and are launch a few squadrons of fighters.

Admiral Mer-toh stood at the edge of the command walkway, at the window, seeing the battle beyond the three cruisers. he turned to his men and gave the order. "Prepare to power weapons, were going to outmaneuver them and. send a message to commander tharak to send in a few ships, we'll need them if we get though this"

The carrier's thursters begun to flash, it's main guns point and aim at the incoming cruisers, pilots rushed to their fighters in hanger bays 1 and 2.

As the enemy fighters approched. the hanger waved his hand. his XO then got the message. "Launch all fighters!"

Three squadrons of fighters emerged from both hangers and charged to the enemy fighters.

"Eta squadron standing by..."

"Vol squadron standing by..."

"Gray squadron standing by..."

Back on the brudge, the admiral reach his comm-link. "All squadrons" the adimral announced. your objective is to stall the enemy long enough so we can enter firing range on the enemy cruisers, once completed, return to the Peacekeeper for repairs"

The fighters closed in....and the battle between them had begun...

Imperial Eta-5s and F-112 Tigersharks engaged the seraian stalkers, sleek fighters that appear like a beetles with a glowing red eye. altough they were weak, but had superior numbers compared to the imperial fighters.

"Lets kill these bastards!"

"For the Emperor!"

The fighter was intense, laser fire was everywhere, some ete-5s were destroyed in the crossfire, though the enemy had lost more. the fighters gatherd up.

"Maintain formation" ordred the lead pilot. go for the enemy cruisers"

"Yes. sir!"

All three squadrons sped towards one of the enemy cruisers and spilt up to attack all ships. its defence turrets fired randomly at it's targets and destroyed a few fighters, but some get in range to attack it.

"Bombers away!" one tigershark pilot shouted as he unloaded his payload of misslies at the cruiser's bridge.

He flew upwards while hearing a large boom. all that was left was a gaping hole, another wing of fighters launch missles at it, destroying it. "Hahaha! these guys dont stand a chase against our F112s!'

"Dont get too cocky, we still got two more-" he was interrupted by the admiral. his voice came up in their comm-link.

"This is admiral mer-toh to all fighters. stand down and retrurn to the carrier at once, we have just recived word of the seraian government's surrendder, all seraian vessels are powering down weapons. we've won gentlemen...."

The crew begin shouting out of victory, the admiral, not finished with his announcement ceased it for the moment."However!" he shouted out. we have sustained loses....we have lost over 500 lives today. we are expeced to honor their service.

"We have orders to return to friendly territory, a small force will arrive here to claim the planet, for now. we've done our part"

It is responsible for carrying out military operations throughout the empire and some parts of the galaxy, as well as maintaining order on Imperial member worlds, governorships and, colonies.
