(OOC) I honestly don't know either way but someone will have noticed you taking him away and that's either suspicious kidnapping or something else (OOC)
OOC: eh whatever

No Krunk! *Runs after him, drags him back explaining* You didn't actually hit a Council Member. It was a made up situation, a possible example.

Im sorry Krunk, I was using you as an example. The idea was to choose someone that would never intentionally hurt a council member to make the point that it was not real.

We dont hate you!

As people have noticed, I have tried to let you act according to your own devices, I had naively hoped my choice of council members would have been enough to keep it on course, but this is not the case. It is time to intercede, and as such I will implement a system of justice, one that encompasses both the council and the commoners, for it's apparent that both are needed.

[1] At least 3 council members must bring a complaint to me against another council member. I will act as judge. If the ruling is seen as unfair the defendant has the right for a jury of their peers, being a full vote of the council.

[2] If justice must be dealt to a commoner of our lands then at least 3 council members must sit in judgement of the matter. This is separate and complimentary to local system of justice, which vary from region to region.

It is about time some clearer lines were drawn between myself, the council and the common folk of our lands. I hope these two simple rules will suffice.

I am not keen to elevate any of you above each other, at least not while I'm still with you all.

I believe there have been other counts of Father Francis assaulting members of the council on missions, most likely not with forethought but it still stands. Having said that, perhaps we should have a broader group of those who would be willing to serve and among that group are nominated 5(?) who will serve to hear one person's case.

(ooc: this is far more entertaining and educational than that stupid lecture)
edit: nevermind kiya has spoken

[OOC] On that note there is the serious crime of murder to be added against merric for killing francis in the first athesia weekend, afterall if combat problems are now to be counted as well [/OOC]

One question Kiya - I suppose that they must have evidence for their claim?

I should hope members of the council wouldn't bother me with idle speculation.
