From the reports I hear that during the final battle our Allied General was being sucked into what appeared to be a big Living spell to form a giant elemental. Now when this happenned, Marcellus decided to use the item required to defeat her and then took part of her soul for a purpose unknown. Now I'm just wondering what happenning here and would like a clarification on this because if I believe the reports to be correct then Marcellus killed an ally and took her soul?? I was absent in battle and would like to hear what happenned |

Simple economics, I had access to the power to weaken a foe we were fighting and I used it? What more is needed to be said |

I'm not sure exactly myself but it appeared that Marcellus removed the soul from Shirade's (sp?) body but something else came and took that soul once it was free of the body. Given the circumstances though I believe his choice was the better of the two, otherwise our foe would have been all the stronger for having absorbed our ally into its being even against her will. |

'What more is needed to be said'? How about the fact tthat Marcellus has managed to kill one of our few allies, probably anger one of the only elemental grouops that would have been willing to help us and finally empower an unknown and probably hostile force. All in all a brilliant decision. |

If he didn't do it she would have been pulled into that thing and wouldn't have been our ally anyway so we still would have been forced to kill her. This way it made the current battle more favourable for us in exchange for a possible future problem. |

If they would prefer to have let their general suffer as part of that abomination then Truly I have wronged them, I will apologise for such a grave offense and be sure to let them all hear her torturous cries as she is absorbed into an arch spell. If it can be agreed that would be unappealing for anyone then perhaps we should focus on protecting the still living neh? |

I may be mistaken here, but I do not believe any of us have witnessed the absorption of an elemental archon general into an arch spell before to determine Shyraides likely demise. I do not approve of the decision that was taken, and would ask that everyone consider deeply the moral implications of sacrificing ones allies for a tactical advantage, before thinking of repeating this action. As one of Marcellus's current allies, I shall certainly be a lot more wary, lest a situation arises in which he might profit from my demise. To the matter of the eventual destination of Shyraides soul, this is indeed worrying, as we know her to be powerful and Marcellus to be linked with necromancy. However, what is done, is indeed done, and we shall face whatever troubles that brings us head on in the future. If anyone has information that may aid us shoudl Shyraides soul return, please append that to this message. Markus. |

I havent been engulfed in a storm of primal fire, or had to face the full fury of The winter courts icy demise... but I can still surmise that they will not be pleasent by simple inference... and let us be clear I profited nothing from this, I did not gain some great boon or more insight |

No, Marcellus is right in one respect. We did not see him personally gain anything fromt he acrifice of our ally. When I used Honour to request of Shyraide her weakness, it was not to be used against her in such a manner. The troubling matter that I can see is that Marcellus has offered up the soul of a powerful ally to some unknown creature that has yet to prove itself either friend or foe. This is truly worrying as with this action Marcellus may well have sped Atheisa to its demise..... |

The point is Mr Ponce here, outright slew one of our allies with whom we owed a tremendous amount of our success! An ally who aided us tremendously, and fulfilled their part of the alliance admirably, only to be stabbed in the back. It's true we may not have been able to save Shyraide, but the Ponce completely denied us that chance. The apparent fact that elemental generals existed before these ones suggests that such a feat may have been possible. But most heinously of all he offered the spirit of a valued and faithful ally to some kind of evil necromantic power! Likely damning them to a twisted existence of forced servitude, denying them the liberation death is supposed to bring. I hope Shyraide's followers do not hear of this betrayal, our alliance stipulated that Shyraide's people would effectively join athesia as citizens and allies, further expanding this grand alliance. With this act however, I fear it may be in jeopardy. You have brought tremendous dishonour on us all Marcellus. It seems you have sacrificed your integrity and no amount of power is worth that. |
