--- The notes of HooD ---

Written after the talk with Shyraide, storm (air, water) elemental general)
Large military alliance between 4 generals of the elemental world:
Shyraide
Ormver, ooze (earth, water)
Quocesh, magma (earth fire)
Relvaer, ash (Air, Fire)

They are currently working on some sort of super-weapon.

Must infiltrate their kingdom and find threat, Shyraide will teleport us into the middle

Written on first extended rest
We were teleported into the heart of an enemy fortress (magma). It was guarded, but obviously they where not expecting us, and we managed to escape before they got organized.

After some time traveling we came across a civilian village that had been enslaved by the military occupation. The keep in the middle of the village only housed enough troops to enforce the civilian population, and so an ambush gave us access to
enemy intel.

After we discerned the most likely location of the weapon, we teleported the civilians to Athesia as refugees as they were now in danger because of our ambush. We will now head towards to the earth field. It is a long journey ahead.

written in a hurry whiles over looking portal device
- After a day of traveling and fighting, found enemy weapon. A portal. We remained stealthy.
- Approx. 4000 troops, including living spell troops, ready to attack
- portal looks very powerful, must investigate and sabotage.

written after fight with living spells
There were several living spells that where guarding the crystals that where powering the portal. We took them out (and a roc that had made the area its nest) I will inspect the portal whiles everyone smashes the power. Living spells are probably remnants of the great war.

-Portal is a cross dimensional portal that can punch open a bridge between our two plains almost regardless of the strength of the barrier at that point.
- - it should be noted that usually, portals use areas where the barrier between plains is at it weakest as it uses less energy.
- Portal looks powerful enough to send hundreds of troops to more or less anywhere.

--- Tactical Info Gathered ---

1. Elementals often have 2 types of damage, so resistances are harder to utilize.

2. Arcane crystals: Aura 2: Give vulnerability thunder and lightning. Aura 1: As a minor action you can focus your attacks and add thunder and lightning types to your attacks and extra damage dice.

What Hood has reported is about right. A few things I will add to fill in some details:

Most importantly the portal - it is a huge device capable of transporting entire armies between planes. In short if they can finish this their whole army can show up on unity island if they so choose. While we were able to destroy these crystals that were powering the portal we were able to do nothing to the portal itself so at best we bought ourselves maybe a week or so. This will be of prime concern when the council meets.

The living spells and elementals were not the only enemies we fought. About those enemies though: only some of the elementals do multiple types of damage, the ones that are made up of more than one element of course. As for the living spells it must be noted that they have a tendancy to release a burst of power when they are badly hurt and when they are destroyed (ooc: close burst attacks when bloodied and killed) so caution is advised. Finally we discovered some Ragewalkers. They are essentially living suits of armour and are relics from the Lexum-Espar War many years ago. They are very tough (they would be being suits or armour) and good at locking down sections of the battlefield.

Finally, we were able to recover a small library's worth of information on the elemental plains and the portal which Hood has taken to his library for study, hopefully this will yield further information on our enemy.

It's not a legion gate but yes the basic idea is the same.
