Recent discussion have lead to a note that our collective knowledge about certain aspects of the dead wastes is sorely lacking, especially in relation to the actual function of some of the magic(We know some of the things they do but not the full extent, for example: Why did the necromancers fire on the wall when they can simply walk through it (as they are not undead, they simply use them). Before any attempts at a consensus can be reached can those of the wastes and those who have ventured there report their knowledge on anything they remember, be if the strength or tactics of our enemies, visions from the ghosts of the land or recorded images in the walls, thus far is what I know: 1. There are 4 powerful artefacts in the dead wastes, the Morning star, evening star, Night blade and Sun staff 1 of which (The morning Star) is in the possession of an ally of athesia, the other three being in possession of the 3 most powerful necromancers 2. Our enemies are arrayed in at least 4 factions, the Lich and 3 separate Necromancer clans (Lizuge, Moswen, and and unknown (At least to me, perhaps the dead wasters can fill us in)) 2. a) The Necromancers and the Lich use different types of necromancy from what I have seen, each clan also has a speciality of their necromancy akin to a fighting style of a soldier 3. Oblivion wraiths in the obelisks are a different breed from the ones summoned by the Necromancers and Liches, the ones in the obelisk appear to retain some of their holy power while the ones summoned by necromancers are wholly corrupt. 4. The Old Pharaoh Rhatep may have been corrupted/corrupt, as the "Holy" oblivion wraiths appear to speak of stopping his return 5. We do not know the full capability of the obelisks, we know some of its functions but we need more research. 6. They have a giant Magical cannon (this should be a priority target as its strike capability is vast) It would probably be wise we catalogue information on the other regions as well, so people have a reference point when adventuring Edited by Fulgrim Ironheart, 25 Nov 2011, 14:18.

If i recall, i do remember having an exchange with a lich and I am sure he mention an alliance between the other necromancer factions. It has been 2 years since this exchange however but luckily I told Lionel and he has a better memory for these things (Ironic I know) |

The third significant tribe is the Nkosi. They are also the largest. |

(OOC: I will be posting here as Onuris not Lionel) The morning star is an the amulet to my father, a powerful artefact that was used to purge those found guilty of crimes to the living. This of course means everything to do with undead. The artefact contains the fragment of a star in it that is capable of commanding searing light that can melt most adversaries though due to the nature of the wardings on such an item using it on the majority of people will likely corrupt the star. I do not pretend to know the inner workings of such an item as this was crafted by a joint venture between the Ibis and my father. The most important thing however is that it holds the key to turning someone into the Pharaoh thus attaining the powers unto that of a demi-god, however all 4 artefacts must be present for this to occur. The other 3 artefacts would have be warped beyond measure due to their misuse, any prior information I had on them is probably highly inaccurate to their current state of power. |

So we not only have to find these artifacts but purge them of their corruption. It seems we have a mission as broad as the desert itself. I wouldn't be surprised if the necromantic tribes have gotten their hands on any or all of these artifacts. |

Would it be possible to purify the artifacts? |

It was in fact stated in Marcellus' initial missive that we are aware the other three artifacts are currently in the possession of the three most powerful necromancers, presumably the leaders of these three tribes |

Probably but not necessarily true, I believe there are still operators outside these tribes. |
