Dear Lords and Ladies of the Five Kingdoms It is with great anticipation and a keen sense of community that I cordially invite all of the Lords and Ladies of our friends from the Five Kingdoms to join us in the City of Tartarum for the celebration of the 406th year of the Founding of Lexum. To honour this date, and the slow steps we are making to a continued and permanent peace, we Elves of the Lexum Empire will be hosting our four-yearly Larethian Games and would like our friends and allies to join us. At the request of the Pharaoh of Thanya and in accordance with the wishes of the Triumvirate we will also hold a summit to discuss the details of the proposed Peace Treaty and Economic Trade Alliance. These talks will be held in the Senatorial Halls of Tartarum and all delegates are permitted to bring a staff of up to twenty retainers (any more and we will not be able to comfortably accommodate all of our guests). For those of you who come to the Games without the intention of taking part in this process of peace, the Larethian Games are an opportunity to prove your valour, skill, wisdom and honour. The Games range from the Weapon Master’s Championship, the Spell Weavers Contest, the Bard’s Sing Along, the Dungeon Crawl and the ever-popular Free-For-All Melee. As we of the Lexum Empire are holding these events we feel it prudent to inform all attendees that we will be using magics to protect the lives of all who take part and our Churches of Corellius Larethia will be on hand to cure those who should suffer any form of accident. As this summit and the Games will take place on our soil, we ask that all of the delegates respect our sovereign laws, though in accordance with the positions of authority we recognise our guests have we will grant the extension of your laws to your private quarters. We await your responses with eager anticipation and with a welcoming hand to our lands. Please contact my assistant, at the Office of the Triumvirate in the City of Tartarum. Yours in friendship, May the Lord of all Elves watch over you and bring us honour and friendship in the days ahead. Aulius Corellius Barbakus Dracinemun Imperius Princaii Rexus, Primus of the Princaii Family. Spokesman of the Triumvirate -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: This game is due to be played on 17th, 18th and 19th of April 2009 starting at 7pm on Friday and ending at 6pm on Sunday and is a Large-Scale Game. Sir Morgan the Swift

I am glad to be the first to say that I will be making the journey to Lexum. I look forward to experiencing this cultural event and taking part in wholly less life threatening challenges. Morgan. Edited by Izezweth, Mar 23 2009, 10:03 PM.

Question. Why are there 2 threads for Dawning Peace? Other Dawning Peace Thread Link. (where I got first post )########################################## Larethian Games? sounds like a refreshing change of pace. I accept the challenge of... entertaining combat? hmmm... seems slightly wrong to use my powers for this, but for Tor Gart I will do it. - Crimson Edited by ThurmicNeo, Mar 27 2009, 12:24 PM.

Hmm, after all the trouble we have had of late it will be nice to enjoy some festivities for once. I believe Mora's Veil was the last large scale celebration that Athesia had, lets hope we shall not have a repeat of the unfortunate events that transpired. I shall attend and dare any to try and keep up with this dwarf in the local tavern Oskar Gorunn |

I will be in attendance of course, my ministry will be conducting many of the activities behind the scenes and my responsibilities will bring me close to the event in course of duty anyway. Logical that i participate with the celebrations; It should be better than the last games... |

I shall of course attend. The people of Lexum have gotten a reputation of being a bit dour, so this magnificent spectacle should be a chance to show the other nations that Joy is every bit as important to us as is Duty. |

I shall also be in attendance, as a devout follower of the Elven Lord I wouldn't dream of missing this! And I told you, that buisness with the three Basilisks last games wasn't my fault! |
