| Constitution; If we are to organize in some way, we should form an Atenist Constitution to describe our underlying moral values. | |

In order to form a system through which we can organize into an actual body, we must have a Constitution which defines our fundamental core values. In order to help project unconditional love into the world through Atenism, and to protect every citizen of the Kingdom of Aten ("citizen", meaning 'Atenist), I propose the following language to be incorporated into the Constitution of the Kingdom of Aten: Any law which conveys hatred or indifference towards any citizen is null, void and nixed. |

A good starting point, save for the fact that as yet, there is no Constitution written. (Except possibly for the Temple of Aten, which seems to have a pretty thorough website.) Other attempts at organization have been made over the years, but the fact remains that there simply aren't enough Atenists out there yet to form a cohesive statement. Atenism seems to be a very individualized path (even the Temple of Aten site has only 9 members currently), and each Atenist seems to follow his or her own ideas on what Atenism is.) I kind of like the organization that the Temple of Aten has done - they've set down their ideas in pretty detailed form, but there are some things I disagree with,so I have not yet joined that particular group, though I do read through their site from time to time. They, like the Fellowship here, suffer from lack of posters. There just aren't enough people to make a forum work, much less any real-time events. Hopefully someday this will change.

Rights, liberties and freedoms Are respected axioms In the Kingdom of Aten Where no person's forgotten. If you defend peoples' rights You're one of the Aten's Knights. If you do this sin will cease And you help establish peace. |
