never evolve or awaken into the Amunist after-life, in the end though
Akhenaten her prince came along and broke the curse with his love by
placing a kiss on Nefertiti's lips. Whereupon Sleeping Beauty awoke-

embraced each other, then they slowly walked together; toward the 'rising'
Sun of Life.

Akhenaten and Nefertiti were soul-mates!

Akhenaten has plusses in regards to the caption above. Simply shown in the list that I put forward.

...1...Akhenaten and *Jesus loved the little children...there are artifacts that show Akhenaten with one of his daughters on his lap with Nefertiti sitting across from him..

...2...Akhenaten and *Jesus elevated women, Akhenaten made *Nefertiti a pharaoh....*Smenkhare.

...3...Akhenaten was a Man who was a pharaoh, he knew he was just a human-being, not the god the Egyptian masses believed. He was a Humanist...

...4...Akhenaten said there is only one God (higher power) and that is the Aten (Sun).

...5...Akhenaten was totally against war, the empire of Egypt shook and shivered while Akhenaten was in power.

...6...Akhenaten kicked the Amun money (gold) merchants out of the temples...so did *Jesus, 1300 hundred years later.

...7...It is said that Akhenaten wrote the 104th psalm.

...8...Akhenaten loved the arts...glass & stone sculpture.

p.s. *Seems strange Jesus doing the same acts as Akhenaten

quote from the book...Jesus and the Lost Goddess

These Egyptian myths are the earliest sources of what was to become
the Christian myth of the lost and redeemed Goddess. Although this
perennial story has been expunged from Christianity,it survived in
the form of fairy tales such as Sleeping Beauty. As her name
suggests, Sleeping Beauty is an image of the psyche fallen asleep in
the world. The story portrays her as a princess cursed to sleep
forever, imprisoned in a dark castle surrounded by deep impenetrable
forest, but finally rescued by her lover, the hero prince.

In my humble position, I have come to believe the (Helen of Troy -
siren-Sleeping Beauty-Nefertiti) was a belief system called *Atenism (one higher power the Sun). The Trojans maintained Atenism long after the Egyptian Amunist destroyed Atenism in Egypt for 100 hundred years? But the day came when Egypt and Troy would face each other in battle. It had all to do with who's gods were more powerfull, the Sun worshippers of Atenism and the Egyptian **Amunism. The Egyptians wanted to destroy this out-post trading city of Troy...some Greeks were involved, I think they were on the ***Egyptian side, but there would be many Greeks who would be on the Trojan (Helen of Troy) side as well, Homer wrote a story of the battle.

Egypt was represented through out the Mediterranean, she was the most
powerfull country of that epoch or era.

* Atenism one higher power...the Sun
**Amunism many gods
***The Egyptians had 1,000 ships or more?

zeirag...Thanks for the come back...Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are both stories out of Egypt.

*Freke & Gandy in one of their books stated the story of Sleeping Beauty is out of Egypt...but they didn't know where the story evolved from. Thats when my grey matter went into over-drive because it related to Nefertiti.

Nefertiti...The Amun priesthood put Sleeping Beauty into a trance of
nothingness, she was put into a state of never ending sleep. That is untill her lover prince Akhenaten gave her a tender kiss of love, where upon Sleeping Beauty awoke placing her arms around Akhenaten's neck whilst he raised her slowly off the death alter...they embranced for a short time then they slowly walked arm and arm toward the rising Sun.

*Jesus and the Lost Goddess

Where in the world do you get your information from,Tom? The earliest origins of the Sleeping Beauty tale are from Europe, not Egypt. If I remember right, elements of the Sleeping Beauty tale first came from the Norse and French (12th and 16th centuries, respectively.) Cinderella isn't an Egyptian story either. Your authors Freke and Gandy need to do their research better. You said above that they even admitted they didn't know where the Sleeping Beauty story evolved from, yet they still said it was Egyptian?? It isn't. It's a European fairy tale. Sounds like they're just grasping at straws to try to make something true that isn't.

Ohhh, wait a second - got it - you mean the story of Rhodopis, right? Mentioned by Strabo in the 1st century AD? I didn't consider that one, since Rhodopis was actually a Greek girl sent to Egypt as a slave, and not really an Egyptian herself,LOL. The story's loosely based on a Thracian courtesan woman who was acquainted with a storyteller (how fitting, I love it,LOL!) and she'd lived around the time of the Pharaoh Amasis. (something like 570-536BCE,I think.) (Hence Rhodopis marrying the Pharaoh in the tale.) Herodotus mentioned her in his historical records,I believe, and a story grew around it. Guess I was focusing on the original "Greek" character, not thinking of the Egyptian elements,LOL. And since it wasn't labeled as a "Cinderella" story until the 19th century,my brain wasn't going for the "early version" angle on that one,LOL. True enough,I suppose.

That's the problem with finding the origins of "fairy tales" - there's thousands of versions of the same stories,in every country (Cinderella alone has over 1,500 variations. Oy.) But yes,the tale of Rhodopis is thought to be one of the earliest known versions, along with China around the same time. But I'm still not sure if I can totally call it a purely Egyptian tale - since the main character WAS a Greek girl,LOL. (Though I guess that would technically put it in the "Greco-Egyptian" category, around the time of Greek-influenced/occupied Egypt,so I guess that still counts,LOL.)

Sleeping Beauty \ Nefertiti

Much SMEARING and DESTROYING of two of the greatest leaders/lovers in
ancient history was a must for the EVIL Amun priesthood. They were
the winners in the war against truth, towhich the Amun priesthood was
never going to let any upstart (pharaoh) destroy their livelyhood
again. Although as history approached the time of 'Alexander the
Great', they did have a few upstarts; but thats another story.

Freke and Gandy didn't connect the dots...they said the myth is out
of Egypt but they never identified the connexion; here it is.

The truth of love and devotion was put into a myth-fable, "Sleeping
Beauty" which came out of Egypt, through Greece, and presented itself
to you and I. "Sleeping Beauty" shows the glorification of these two
lovers; Akhenaten and Nefertiti. Freke and Gandy stated in one of
their recent books "Sleeping Beauty" is a myth out of Egypt via Greek
myths connected with their Egyptian past. Well, it dawned on me as I
was reading their description...it was how Nefertiti was put into a
trance in never-never-land by the EVIL Amun priesthood. The ordinary
people of ancient times new of this great couple of love and wisdom,
so it was carried in a myth for all to remember.

Where did Freke and Gandy get their sources for the Egyptian story? And what is the Egyptian version,do you know? I'd be interested to read it. (It was not a story written about Akhenaten and Nefertiti.) It could be a romantic style story ABOUT them, but they were not the original characters of the Sleeping Beauty tale (whether or not it came out of Egypt.) If Akhenaten and Nefertiti were the main characters, where's the hard evidence the story was written about them?

The closest I've uncovered was that the first version of "Sleeping Beauty" was in written form in Italy in the 1600's and was not a happy-sweetie tale. It was quite a violent and graphic narrative, the story of Sleeping Beauty. (none of the original "fairy tales" were "sweet" until they were watered down and altered by The Brothers Grimm and Disney. If you go into the history of these "fairy tales",in their original forms, they were extremely unpleasant - not nice at all.) Don't mind me,too much literature class in college,LOL.

Nefertiti is Sleeping Beauty...trust me on that one, and Cinderella (Rhodopis) is an Egyptian fairy tale about Cinderella. The hard evidence is me...the Amun highpriests hated Nefertiti to the fullest degree. I wish I could win you over in acceptance of the aforementioned data. I'm a aficionado fan of Akhenaten and Nefititi everyone is down on the two of them...someone has to go to bat for them.

AmarnaGirl you seem to have a education behind you, your very wise and sound educated...how much education do you have?
