    This Just In...    Terrorists after hijacking this station's broadcast have attacked an ISSP police station located on Mars. Currently there is little information available on the recent events and updates will be added as they come in. Authorities advise everyone to stay indoors and if they have any information to contact their local ISSP department.

Welcome to Asteroid Blues. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Puts more lead in the air then you can

Vic walked into the door of the rat hole of a bar called the Eclipse. He went down the stares scoping out the place in a casual way. He was wearing an older suit of his which he liked mostly because of how well it concealed his guns even when sitting or walking in public. He went to the bar and and sat down at one of the stools and placed an order, "Large scotch." He took his drink and drank half of it and set it down looking at the amber colored liquid as he asked the bar keeper Hondo, "What do you know about a two time thug named Fog?" He looked up as he downed the remainder of his drink looking at the man coldly.

Fog sat in the back room of the Eclipse, staring at the projection on the wall, a news article highlighted by a video of a burning ISSP station. He shook his head solemnly. Whoever did this had no style, no style at all. This simply isn't how things are done. That was Vic's station. Wonder if the old guy made it out...

Hondo gave his new customer the once over. The old suit, the phrase 'two time thug', all of it screamed cop. Fog had been very clear that cops got the same treatment as everyone else as long as they played by the rules by everyone else, and as far as Hondo knew Fog didn't have anything to hide... lately. Still, it made him nervous. "I've certainly heard the name." he said offhandedly. Hondo grabbed the bottle of scotch and turned to set it back on the shelf behind him, pretending he wasn't especially interested in the conversation. "You hear so many rumors in my line of work, bartending that is." He turned back towards the cop. "I'm not sure I remember too much..." He shot a meaningful glance at the tip jar a few feet away, then turned his back to refill an ice tray.

Looking at the tip jar Vic figured what the bartender wanted, "Ok I see where you're coming from..." Seeing he wasn't getting anywhere fast and not wanting to pay the ass of a bartender for information after so many good officers were injured and killed the day before he decided to get straight to the point. So, he reached into his coat and placed his badge and his 9mm on his bar as a subsitute of a tip while the bartender's back was turned. When the bartender turned around he asked again sternly, "I'll ask one more time. What do you know about Fog?"

Hondo chuckled. "yes yes, very shiny and impressive. Like I didn't already know you where A cop. You don't telegraph it at all." his voice dripped with sarcasm. "So Officer... actually I'm going to guess it's Detective... So Detective what do you do when you aren't harrassing-" Deidra cut him off. "Easy, Hondo. Yeh don't want teh fuck with this one."

She took a seat next to the detective at the bar. "He told me 'bout someone like you showing up." Deidra pulled out a pack of cigarettes and tapped the bottom. She gripped one with her lips and pulled it out, then offered the pack to the Detective. "Fog said a grim ol' bloke with a badge might bully his way in looking for him." She lit her cigarette with her free hand, not looking at the cop and speaking as if she was rather bored. "He's in the back room. Now put that gun away 'fore yeh scare off all our fucking customers yeh prick."

Vic glared at the bar keeper and his sarcasm waiting for a chance to fuck him up to get the info he wanted. When he was interrupted by a stranger at the bar he looked over, "So my reputation procedes me?" He glanced over with a coy look as he turned down the cigarette instead using one of his own from a coat pocket. When she told him where he was he got up and put his gun and badge away before putting out the remainder of his smoke. "Thanks love", he walked to the back room and kicked in the door not bothering to even try opening it first.

The door burst open with a bang. Fog ducked instinctively, expecting gunfire. There was silence. He gripped a bowie knife in his boot and slid it out slowly. He raised his head above the desk. "Damn it Vic you scared the shit out of me." He eased back into his chair and made a show of relaxing. Beneath the table though he kept a tight grip on his knife, all business.

He pointed to the image of the smoking building projected onto the wall. "I was wondering about you. You look mostly not-blown-up, Kudos. I need to put a deadbolt on that door, thanks for reminding me." He loosened his tie. Did Vic think he had something to do with the bombing? Either way his presence usually meant trouble. "What brings you to my little den of iniquity?"

Vic leaned up against the door frame and didn't pay much mind to Fog's remarks over his condition and the door. He wasn't happy with the fact he was seeing him again but there were few options for information. "As much as it pains me to do this. I need to know whatever you got on the bombing." He lit a cigarette and began to smoke, he came with the belief that he would have to punch a few faces in and that the place would look nicer and more, well professional. But now he was here and saw what kind of a dump the place was and how poor security is he was begining to feel bad.

Fog relaxed his grip on the knife ever so slightly. So he was here for information was he? Maybe he could get something out of this. Vic hadn't exactly been eager to deal with him in the past, and if he pushed to hard he knew Vic would just threaten a crack down. Fog knew his business was clean enough that they couldn't arrest him, but they could bog him down in red tape and investigations. He had to play his cards carefully.

"Well Vic I'm sure you can understand my hesitation. I have a lead for you, but You haven't exactly been cooperative in the past." Fog sheathed the knife and pulled himself to his feet. "Still, I'm a reasonable guy, and despite myself I find I like your style. I'm sure we can come up with some sort of mutually beneficial arrangement." Fog paced over to a nearby file cabinet. and started rifling through it.

"My request is fairly simple. As a concerned citizen it has come to my attention that a small gang has been roughing up local businesses for protection money." Of course they were also keeping Fog from expanding his own organization, but he kept that to himself. "They should be fairly easy to take down, just a bunch of punks that aren't exactly being subtle about it." He pulled out a file and slid the cabinet shut.

He slid the file across the table towards Browning. "I know you have the authority to start an investigation on them, and with the intel in there they could be gone in two days." He looked Browning dead in the eye. "We both know you could drag me out of here in cuffs and throw me in another interrogation room. But I promise you that could take days, weeks if we get lawyers involved, and I don't think you have that kind of time to waste." He nodded towards the image of the burning building on the wall. "Make the call."

<Enter Roland>

Roland walked into The Eclipse without much of a care what kind of a place it was so long as it served liquor. He took an empty seat at the bar and looked over the bartender before he said in a tired voice, “Give me some bourbon. Oh, and don't go too far I've had one hell of a day” Roland looked around the place with bored eyes. He usually wouldn't walk into places like this, but one thing he did like about these places was the fact that you could waltz into the place with enough guns to scare off a small army and nobody inside would even care you exist so long as you don't make them spill their beer. He turned back to the bartender and asked, “You know anything about that police station bombing, I've been out of town for a while and didn't hear much about it.”

<enter Jon>

The preacher had mentioned something about buying his handgun around Roan Street. For no particular reason Jon wandered over that part of Tharsis, if only to have something to do till the day ended. Seeing the non-descript bar, Jon entered. He deserved a drink after winning the catch of the day for that casino, he thought to himself.

Upon entering he noticed the large bartender and a patron asking for a drink. He took a stool a couple of paces away and motioned for the bartender.

"Gin gimley, rocks," Jon ordered.

Right then he heard the other patron mention the police station bombing. Damn, I didn't even pick up a flier on that terrorist cell head... He kept quiet and listened carefully.
