The Army of Light RPG is a series of tactical role playing games developed to play on the computer by Mercenary of Light with the help of his friends and other members. The gameplay is based on strategy RPGs like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, but with new characters and an original story that members of this forum create, develop and will later experience.

So anyway, I started out with Tau and then got bored and went with Space Marines whom I love. I'll post some pics of my painting jobs eventually. But for now, what do you guys think of the new 5th ed. rules?

Pain in the butt to fight though... freaking Veil of Darkness. He started out with the Orks though, but he got sick of being pounded ot plaster with their lack of armor saves vs boltguns. Gotta admit though, Orks are fun to paint. My friend plays Eldar and I have painted most of his army for him cause he's afraid he'll mess up. Guardians are kinda boring, but the aspect warriors, XD they are soo much fun! I found a metallic blue spray paint for the Dire Avengers that just looks AMAZING!

I chose the ulthwe wich was probably a bad start but who knew the battleforce would be so amazingly useless to fight with. (Fantasy is sooo much better. Dwarfs FTW.)

(because compared to necrons they're variation heaven) then i noticed how bad they are. so i went back to 40k. i chose tau this time. their guns are awesome, i just hate the fact that they suck in combat though. ive now given up and followed the crowd with space marines because they're just good all round and they have a bit of variation.

My friend went with Biel-Tan. Maybe you should start another army. Go with Tyranid, they're good fun. Especially for you opponents! DAKKA DAKKA SPLAT POP. Plus, flesh is REALLY fun to paint. I went Tau at first too, but then I kinda got bored with them, and I had space marines from the starter set so i just kinda got them. They were supposed to be a side army, but now they are my main. Sadly I have never played Fantasy. I would like to but the place where everyone played closed so now we kinda have no where to do it. Edited by ShinigamiNinja, Dec 18 2008, 07:27:04 PM.
