Ok, so I thought that the forum didn't have many free style roleplays, so I decided to make one. This is set in the far future, our planet was prospering, unlike in most far future roleplays we beat global warming and the planet wnet into a golden age of peace and technology. Futuristic technologies became available and we moved into the space age. We have colonized the moon, with several cities having been set up in 'space domes' with 'space tunnels' with hyper fast trains linking them. However, our burst of activity has attracted the attention of another race, a violent alien empire called the Rax attacked us, now our planet is at war. The roleplay is set on a starship in the UPD (United Planetary Defence). You can be a newbie recruit or a hardened veteran - but I'm setting up new classes because obviously, there are no Fencers on Starship Sovereign. Classes are as follows: Name: Close Quarters Weapons: Energy sword (kinda like a lightsaber but not quite as amazing) Parasite Shot-pistol (basicaly a shotgun the size of a pistol, contained in the ammo is a bio-weapon with numerous viruses and parasites - all deadly to humans but unkown effect on Rax) Armour: Light Armour, Light Shields Skills: Adrenaline rush (You can press a button to activate an injection of adrenaline boosting your combat abilities highly for about 60 seconds but leaving you drained afterwards) Name: Tank Weapons: Minigun (yes, a minigun, one of the ones you get on stands that rotate and fire off over 100 shots a second - and you're carrying one) Power Fists (bit, metal, shielded, fists) Armour: Heavy Armour, High Shields Skills: Wall (you are literally screwed into the floor, nothing is going to be moving you until you want to be moved - or you die, but thats a minor detail of course) Name: Speeder Weapons: Twin Exeter Pistols (very powerful pistols with shield/armour piercing ammo - but don't expect to get through high shields/heavy armour instantly, it isn't shield/armour ignoring) Wrist Blades (mini retractable energy swords in a gauntlet - ninja style!) Armour: Light Armour, Medium Shields Skills: Exoskeleton (your suit has a robotic exoskeleton enabling periodical feats of athletic insanity such as leaping over 3 metres in the air, running at speeds of up to 30mph or making lightning fast attacks or blocks in combat - but overuse can result in system failures - and they are never good eh?) Name: Blazer Weapons: Exeter Rifle (exeter pistol, but bigger, bigger clips, and can fire as fast as an SMG - less powerful in each shot but can spray out ten times as many in the same time) Energy Grenades (press the trigger, lob it and fzzzzzt ZAP BOOM! A direct hit from one of these will kill anything short of a Tank) Armour: Medium Armour, Light Shields Skills: Dakka Dakka Dakka! (you can activate an auto reload system in your rifle, enabling you to fire off six clips without reloading - thats around 600 shots! Nasty. Whats also nasty is what happens if you try to use it again too soon after one use - something along the lines of KABLOOEY!) I'm going to transfer my character from Lianna's and SN's forum Name: Fatale (Katy) Age: 19 Class: Speeder Personality: Cool, calm, even headed, generally kind but can be blunt or unfeeling. Looks:  Background: Born into a military family, with her mother an on board medic and her father a front line soldier - Katy only ever had one ambition as far as a career was concerned. As she grew she discovered a love for speed and acrobatics, spending longer running around and over her local playground than actually at home, so when she joined the UPD her choice of specialization was obvious. Katy has made a name for herself as being willing to go on even the most dangerous missions, as well as coming back from them alive. She was promoted to captain when she was 18, and is captain of the team on Starship Sovereign. I'll start the roleplay when we have enough people, I'd say four would be enough. Anyone can join  |

Count me in, now as for my class idea. Class: Creeper Weapons: Exoskeleton implants (similar to the exoskeliton used by the speeder but with strong electro magnets on the fingertips and toes to cling on to metalic surfaces), The implants can be made to emit a small electronic charge electrocuting anyone in contact with the magnetic tips. A hand to hand combat class. Armour: Light armour, Light shields Skills: Stealth (the electromagnetic exoskeliton makes you hidden to radar and your movements are so skilled that you can hide undetected in almost any shadows) Description: This is a highly experimental type of warrior designed for ship infiltration and imobilisation. The procedure of fiting the implants into your skin has a low succes rate and can cause imense pain, mental disorder or even death. Because of this the funding being put into this type of warrior is small and there numbers are few, many of the existing ones being sycologicaly unstable. (I wanna use it, a syco stealth fighter = Awesome) (EDIT: since this is gonna be a different type of roleplay you could set up a site for this, ill help if u want.) (EDIT2: Thats a cool pick, where u find it?) Edit3: Class: Crack shot Weapons: Helix rifle (A long rifle that shoots at extremely long range with high power. It has a small clip and a long reload though, is generally used in larger ships to defend points of entry. The rifle gets its name due to the shape of the barrel causing the bullet to spin and increasing its speed and penetrating power) and a Exeter pistol for close combat. Armour: Medium armour, light shield Skills: Armour piercing (Crack shots spend time doing extensive research into various armour times so on most common armour they can pinpoint and exploit weak points.) (I was a little bored and I thought you were lacking a long range class, probably due to small spacecraft, but meh, last edit, honest) Edited by gangreen88, Dec 18 2008, 01:10:04 PM.

Stay away from my creeper (Places a hand on Barnas shoulder and sends an elcric pulse through his body, :P). I think there chould be a linit of creepers due to the difficulties I mentioned. |

Alot of this sounds like its from Warhgammer 40,000, especially the Power Fist. Do you play it? Name: Kerr Class: Blazer Personality: However it manages to end up being. Looks: I don't know, probably pretty big, but he's not Santa Clause. Maybe bald maybe not. Background: He needed money to pay for college so he signed up with an ROTC program and became an officer when he finished school. In his last year of service war was declared and he got stuck for a few more tours of duty. He's not too angry though, he didn't have a girlfriend waiting for him or something sappy like that. He just hopes he doesn't die cause he would like to have a peaceful life eventually. |

woop warhammer 40,000 anyway... i'm stuck between choosing the Speeder or the Close Quarters did u get some of the ideas from mass effect because thats what it reminds me of |

I didnt I think he did, warhammer 40k probs had an input as well. Yay Eldar, hail Khaine (and Barna I hope you know I wasnt serious about the creeper thing, if its an accepted class then other will be able to have then but its SA's decree not mine.) Edited by gangreen88, Dec 18 2008, 01:36:25 PM.

Ok, lots of posts - yes ok, creeper is fine, so is crack shot. I got the pic from google images - its tifa lockhart from final fantasy (I think 7) advent children - the movie. I do play warhammer 40k - but I didnt actually think about it when making this, its mainly based on mass effect  I think it is a good idea to spread out the classes, as most teams would try to have as many different classes as possible, so I'm not banning you from being a creeper or speeder barna - but bear in mind that most teams don't have many class doubles. |
