Right I have decided after along time of talking in the taven to make my Role Play in a different world. I created a background story and a map, it can be edited but only if you guys think it should be.  FURINEAR The continent of Furinear divided into five countrys: Jenine, Halfsburg, Diflbir, Allsston and Tugfur Jenine: The land of the Desert – This land is made of Myrmidons, Mercenaries and Archers, they train in the dessert toughen themselves, The King of Jenine is Lord Jaffar, the capital is always named after the king, it is said a Shrine is hidden under the sand lost forever. Halfsburg: The kingdom in Fear – This land is known from it’s Knights, Pegasus flyers and it’s archers, The queen of Halfsburg is Isimare the silent, it is said that she reads often and is a great Flyer always perfecting her arts, The forest holds monsters and people travel to toughen themselves in the Tower hopping one will reach the top, there names to be sculpted for all to see, The current King or Queen must complete the tower as there final recognition through the land. Diflbir: The Continent of Rough – This land is known for it’s might warriors and scaly wags of the sea as well as the mounted horsemen. There navy is to always be feared and if you stuck on the sea there mighty warriors will be the ones saving you life. The country is currently elected a new ruler as the bloodline died in a terrible disease that hit the land the last King was Jelis. Allsston: The land of the hooded - This land is full of Thief’s stealing all sorts but to counteract this evil the priest are far from few and mages and sages are common, unfortunately so are assassins as well as bards and dancers. The current ruler is King Harl Harp, he is known for playing the harp. Relationships are strong between Diflbir and Allsston Tugfur: The kingdom of Dark Shine- This is the kingdom of users of the dark arts, Wyverns, Werewolf’s and Vampires. The current king is a man who is known to lack spirit and many believe is a summoned creature, although he is cheerful man he keeps this much to himself and other royals he was a great friend of Jelis, he is called Säke, he enjoys cheese(See if you can guess why). Sounds cool, I like the map and the way it is set out with signature classes - will help with people choosing their origin country. The names by the castles on the map - are they like the rulers of the country/castle or are they something else. Whats going to be the sort of direction of the plot? Heh, director - what is our motivation for this scene, that sort of thing. |

Okay, same deal with Saile, if you find my comments to be too offensive please point it out, and I'll be glad to stop. Firstly, I think you mean; The continent of Furinear is divided into five countries: Jenine, Halfsburg, Diflbir, Allsston and Tugfur Also you have a few typo's in your country description, but nothing major. I'm rather concerned about this five kingdom layout everyone seems to be using, I know all RP's here are still in their early stages, but I'd probably guess that in most of these RP's at least one kingdom will pretty much be insignificant. Variety is available in Classes, so I don't see why there's a need for so many kingdoms. Better to have less (more interesting) countries, then a heap of boring shallow countries. @ Shining Angel I'm guessing they're the name of the Capital/Castle since alot of countries have different name for their rulers. @ Undying I'm not too fond of the name Roy and Erk for capitals, especially Roy, For starters they feel too short, If you have to use FE character names then Eliwood would be a much better choice. My method of creating names revolves around jumbling words around. EG: Kingdom+flame= Kiflagem Contrary to Shining Angels belief, I think restricting classes to certain areas is a poor idea. I think you wouldn't mind if I created a myrmidon in Tugfur, but it doesn't feel right. If you want to make indicators,I'd suggest a specialty class. Like Tugfur is the only country where Werewolves and Vampires can be found. Or Halfsburg prides itself on it's Cavalary, both in the air and on the ground. Allowing a good indicator of kingdom specialties, while not sounding restrictive. Now for a friendly comment, I loved Halfsburg, I actually couldn't help but smile when I saw Halfsburg was split in half, ingenious. Good work. I actually am interested in Furinear and am looking forward to its progression. (Plan things out here, don't rush things and try to get the RP started right away, plus the idea is to gather players interest here, then start an RP) That's all for now, I'll give your eyes a break, after reading that wall of text. Aya, thats sort of what I meant - I didn't think it was meant to be restricted to the countries, just specialties like you said. I also agree less good countries is better than more boring countries |

@ aya I see what you mean and what I meant was that they were well known or common in cerian places and many are more gifted due to there uniquness, I will rename a couple but I did it for no reason other than the fact I liked those people in the games @ Saile Chapter based @ Shining Angel The plot is basic and will be expanded, It will be posted soon and so your motivation will have to wait One more thing is that you may use your charaters in Army of Light and more but I will limit it to 2 if you want 3 I will decided depending on what I think about them, PM me if you would want three later on Edited by undying dagger, Oct 30 2008, 12:34:55 PM.

Hmmm lets see. Ok. Containing elements of the games, I would advise against, only because some people here are not fammiliar with the games and the great thing about this forum is that they are not included and all you have to know about them is included on the site (classes.), so even if they are only the names I would rather you made your RP unique. Also, everyone is making these detailed maps with many continents and they only use one. Although chapter bassed is easy I think it would be great to have a free roaming/ freeform RPG as it could make use of the continents you have created. |

Yer but the story moves from location to location therefore not just in one place, this means all maps will be used and locations are important, such as the island in Halfsburg I would also like to mention that there just names and that is all. |

I think I'll probs use Sky, but I like the idea of creating some sort of vampire/vampiress I can see how free roaming RPGs might be fun, but I think that controlled RPGs generally provide enough time for character development but move the story along better. I think as long as the chapters allow a bit of freedom, but with a central objective it'll work I think. As for the names I do think that Roy is an odd name for a castle =/ Oh and the actor says "pah! In my home country the director works around ze actors! Not the other way around, I wash ma 'ands of you monsieur!"

If you did have a vampire I would have a Half vapire that transforms at night, leaving no time for sleep (it's really evil) But if you did I would suggest a priest so that you get light magic in the day and dark at night |
