The Army of Light RPG is a series of tactical role playing games developed to play on the computer by Mercenary of Light with the help of his friends and other members. The gameplay is based on strategy RPGs like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, but with new characters and an original story that members of this forum create, develop and will later experience.

Pessimistic Old Hag Posts: 249 Group: Global Moderators Member #15 Joined: Sep 23, 2008	While I think most people have broadband (I do) I'd suggest going with simple animations and then upgrading it with "better animation." Perhaps even make it a optional addition. What would be better is to be able to turn it on/off like in FE but I guess that's asking for a significant amont of work,

One thing you could do is make the game to completion without the animations, then go back and make a second version with the animations by just addin in the animation codes. That way, people who don't want the animation can have a version that doesn't have it, plus you'll be able to see how much more work will be necessary and whether it would be worth it. I would like to see animations, personally.

Just do what feels right for you Dan.
