(This story takes place before Nathaniels encounter with Arial) Bandit 1: Looks like we got ourselves a fancy boy. Bandit 2: And.. whats that i see.. looks like hes a rich little blighter. How did it come to this. One minute he was relaxing by the side of the road and the next he was tied to a tree and being insulted by these two thugs. They had taken his bow and thrown it next to there campfire. The two bandits were armed with crude axes but as far as armour was concerned they wore verry little. Bandit 1: Thats a fair bit of gold this guys saved up. Nathaniel spat at the closest bandit. "You freaks dont deserve a penny of that." Bandit 2: Looks like this clown has nerve. Bandit 1: Well then we're gonna have to sort that. Nathaniel made peace with his gods as the bandits drew there weapons and advanced. Edited by gangreen88, Sep 24 2008, 04:00:32 PM.

Nathaniel watched in surprise as the bandit died in front of him. He would have been overjoyed had the kill not brought the attention of 3 more bandits who had been in the tent. One of the bandits jestured to the woods and two of them ran into the undergrowth. The other moved towards where Nathaniel was tied. He had an air of menace around him and the way the others obeyed him suggested he was the boss. Bandit Boss: Whats going on here! I never told you to go capture some noble. You should go help the others, ill deal with you later. Leave the noble to me. The bandit ran into the forest to join the others leaving Nathaniel and the Boss alone in the clearing. Bandit Boss: Im not gonna mess with you. To tell the truth I haven't got the patience. Im just gonna kill you right now. The Bandit Boss swung his axe in a wide arch. Just before the axe hit Nathaniel he twisted to one side narowly avoiding the blow. Instead the blow severed the rope that was holding Nathaniel to the tree. Nathaniel: Im not gonna mess with you. To tell the truth I haven't got the patience. Im just gonna kill you right now. Nathaniel let the Bandit Boss see a sly smirk before he swung his foot up into the side of the bandits head. a howl of pain echoed out of the woods. fomorii dropped to the floor and put the man out his misery. the other two bandits rushed to the scene and found their comrade lying dean on the floor. they heard hoof beats and looked up to see a middle aged nomad galloping along straight at them they dived into the undergrowth on each side of the road and turned to see the back of a horse diapearing from sight |

Nathaniel heard a loud crack as his foot conected with the bandits jaw. He didnt stop to watch the bandit hit the floor but ran over to where his belongings had been thrown. He wipped out and arrow and notched it in his bow. The bandit boss hadnt got up and was lying perfectly still on the ground. He advanced slowly alert for any danger but when he got to the bandit he found he was dead. His neck had broken as he fell. Now he had to find the person who helped him and help them. He rushed into the undergrowth in the direction the other bandits had gone. |

fomorii was almost at the edge of the woods when a figure ran out into the middle of the road. he didnt the that he was a bandit so slowed down but if he hit him it would still be enough to kill him. |

Nathaniel ran out into the road and was bareley fast enough to jump to one side as a mounted nomad thundered past. Just behind the Nomad was the bandit that had tied him up earlyer. "Its time for revenge my friend" No sooner had the bandit noticed him when a arrow buried itself in the mans throat and he droped to the ground, staining the earth red where he fell and making a hurendous gurgling noise. "Nobody steals from me and gets away with it" He mumbled to the corpse of the bandit before picking his purse from the mans corpse. |

fomorii i dentified the man as the bandits captive. he was slowed his horse down and jumped of the back. he ran towards the man and notche an arrow to his bow as he ran. the man hearng a sound turned to see the figure loose and arrow at him. instinctly he dropped to the floor just as the arrow whistled over him. he watched its flight to see the arrow embed itself in the remaing bandits thigh. the bandit let out an anguished roar of pain. |

Nathaniel picked himself up off the floor and turned so that the bandit and the nomad were on different sides of him. He grabbed an arrow, noched it and fired it into the fallen bandits chest before turning to the Nomad. "It seems I owe you my life sranger" He knelt next to the corpse of the dead bandit and gently pushed his eyelids shut. "You have sayed my life twise today, and for that, I owe you a great debt of grattitude." He turned back to the stranger "Tell me. Is there anything I can do to repay you?
