Just as the Army of Light is leaving Entrall, a pair of bandits pillages an armory outside the village. Avion, a young swordfighter, stands up to them to defend the weapon sellers. Bandit 1: “Stupid kid... yu think yere so much better then us with yer little swords, eh?” Bandit 2: “Stupid fencer... what makes yu think yu can stand up te us?” Bandit 1: “Whats wrong!? Too scared, little brat!?” Avion: “I fight for the people... and will be there to help them.... even if it means standing up to you...” Bandit 1: “Oh, really!?” laughs “Well even with yur fancy little swords, yere still a young brat with no hopes of beating us! Especially with dat flimsy little stick of yurs! Hahahaha!” Bandit 2: laughs as well Avion: “What are you laughing at!?” Just then Shivral, leader of Entrall’s gang of axefighters enters at the armory. Shivral: “So what’s going on, boys?” Bandit 1: “We were trying te get some new axes when this little fencing brat comes in and wants ter fight us.” Shivral: “I see so you think you’re better than us for wielding that scrawny looking sword of yours.” whistles out to his gang members “Now you’ll see not to miss with us, punk.” Avion: turns towards the weapon sellers “Don’t worry; I shall protect you with my life!” Bandit 1: laughs “Yu think yu can stand up te all us. Yu don’t know with whom yer messing with, Shivral’s the leader of the biggest axefighter’s group in these mountains. You have no way of beating us.” Shivral: “Boys, why don’t we take this outside?” Bandits: confused “Why?” Shivral: “Because I don’t want to damage my future storage room.” Bandits: still confused Shivral: “I always wanted some extra space for my axe collection, and after we beat this kid up, I’ll make this my new storage room. And why don’t you take the city while you’re at it.” Avion: a little nervous “I won’t let you!” The Army arrives at the village entrance and sees a group of men Bromf: Hey, what’s going on over there? Galahad: Looks like a fight. Lianna: goes and asks a ghost "Excuse me miss. Did you see what happened here?" nods "So it's just because he is a swordfighter and wanted to stop some bandits?" she pauses and then says "I see, a gang of axefighters dropped in and want to beat up the boy." Dan: as soon as hears that “Then, we have to go out there and help him out.” The Army approaches the group of axefighters surrounding Avion. Dan: “Hey, Shivral! You picked a wrong time to mess with a citizen.” Shivral: “I don’t think so. I chose the right time. Your little army won’t be able to defeat us.” Dan: daring “Oh, yeah!?” Shivral: "You want to drop in and save this kid, fine by me. We'll get rid of all you swordfighters with one swing of an axe."  [Part of the credit for the chapter's intro goes to Valter and Lianna. Valter did the beginning, I just adapted it and added the end.] Note: Bandits will come from the East and Fighters from the South later on. Remember this is just for fun and some character development (especially fighting moves), no stats here. |

Galahad moved down around the wall toward the bandits to the east. He loosened drew his long knives as he neared them. |

Bromf - looks like everyone is off to be a hero. *Turning to Lianna* Miss Lianna would you mind staying behind me while we move forward, egidus can have the flank. With luck you should not see any of the bandits for more than a minute before they can harm us no longer. *Unsheeths his sword with one hand while pressing the contents of his pokets to make sure they are firmly wedged*. |

Galahad threw his left hand knife intot he throat of one of the bandits, and slashed the other across the chest. As the first bandit lay dead Galahad dueled with the second, barely slowed by the flesh wound. |

While locked in combat against the seemingly iron-skinned brute, and stillw ith only one knife, the fighter that he ran past before came up from behind him. The dumb thug yelled before attacking, so Galahad was abel to dodge his swing. But now he had two thugs to deal with, and still only one knife. The other was still lodged in the mammoth corpse of the fallen brigand. Perhaps his one moment of carelessness was going to cost him his life. |

Sticking behind Bromf, Lianna notices Galahads problem, turning to a ghost she whispers "Warn me if I'm about to be killed ok?" The ghost nods and Lianna concentrates, throwing her shadow out as far as she could, controling the shadow, it wrapped around one of the mans arms and legs, holding him still for Galahad to kill easily. Bromf - Lianna you do not have to stick right behind me, if you need to go help someone do. Egidus I can hold this for a while longer with Kaivai, you go to the villages behind and make sure everyone is ok. *He holds a wild swing of an axe with the side of his sword, then uses his weight and solid footing to force the brute to the ground when his sword plunged downwards finishing the current threat*. |

More axefighters begin to approach from the south. Some of the axefighter gang members that were in the hideout begin to jump the wall to join in on the battle. Dan: Ah, no there are more coming our way. WE can't undersestimate their numbers,, Shivral has a big influence on the entire town. *notices Avion struggling with 4 fighters and goes out to help* Hey, you, what's your name? [Note: Valter's in control of Avion while he gets back.] |
