Character Related Can I be a pure dragon/beast/monster? No, but you can be a half-human half-beast class like manakete which transform into those beasts. Pure monsters are not allowed because that’s what we are up against and were not reviving the FE7 irony (‘Heh, we’re fighting to avoid the release of dragons, but we have some soldiers riding them’). Besides none of our registered members speak dragonish, howling-speak or monster gibberish, so we would have a hard time understanding you. Can I be a lord (or someone else from royalty) in the RPs/RPGs? Yes, you can, but you have to pm me about it first. You will probably not get a lord class, but you can get your own sprite based on the class you chose, if you’re a lord since the beginning. Lords can seize castles and other buildings (get the ability Seize), get a few points more of weapon Exp, may receive better items or more money, and will play a more important role in the story. But you have a responsibility to lead wisely, consider the decisions and situations of other members and provide help to those that need it. Until a lord joins the Army of Light, Dan (Mercenary of Light) will serve as a lord-type leader, doing all the duties of a lord and will participate in the chapters were his presence is necessary. After a lord joins, Dan will remain with his lord-type status and will always be the main lord character (exceptions could be made). Can I change my character or class after I started with one? You can change your character or class at any time, but you will have to start over again at level 1 first tier or trainee. If your character died in the RP, then I will pm you to make up a new character (or you pm me). The swapping of classes will probably not affect the RPG version about to be released soon if it’s already in development. If you abuse the character swapping (do it twice in 2 months), you might get all of your characters removed from the RPG. Assistants aren’t affected by this change (since you could make new ones and ignore the old ones). Role Playing Related I can’t participate constantly in the RP for certain reasons, what do I do? It’s normal for every one of us to not be able to participate often because of work, schoolwork or situations in our lives. If you think you won’t be able to participate in the role-playing for some time, you may give control of your character to another member. You must pm that you’re giving permission to the member over control of your character until you get back. The member will have control over the character’s actions and it will keep leveling up, but at half-speed. If the members appear to be incorrectly using your character(s), this (these) will be relayed to Mercenary of Light until the chapter’s end. Character(s) under the control of another member will not die and anything it (they) does (do) is not considered canon (it won’t affect its role in the RPG). (Note: Avoid giving your character(s) to the admin.) What are maps for in the Main RPs? They are for reference and to avoid exaggeration. The maps on the RPGs will be based on these. Their use in the RPs is for you to see your character's position, establish a setting and how many (and which classes of) enemies are in the board (to avoid people exagerating, example: defeating a dozen generals when there's only one in the entire map). The maps can also be to show off the map making skills of the maker (you can submit your maps on the Submissions for the RPG subforum) Role Playing Game Related When will the first RPG be released? I will release a demo soon after a few chapters have passed here and a good number of members have joined. I will give the link to all members so they can download it. I found an error in the RPG, what do I do? You post the error in the Errors, Complaints and Suggestions forum. Site Related How do I change skins/themes? There's a theme selector above the copyright (it says Choose a theme). What is that 4-number code above the copyright for? That's a Random Number Generator I added that anyone may use if they want to do FE-style role-playing games in the forum. The RNG generates a new number every second, but you only see it change when you change pages. Do you have any question not answered in the Instructions forum? Then pm the admin or a staff member about it. |
