Dan was returning to Entrall after a one-year abscence. He hasn't been there since the last meeting of the Lightning Mercenary Guild in the Reunion Hall, built by the townspeople to honor their bravery and thank them for their protection. Dan remembers that last meeting well, with everyone saying their farewells after he decided to stop the LMG and devote entirely to the Army of Light. A few weeks ago, King Hathor II had knighted Dan as Marshal of the Army of Light. His friend Bromf, a fellow member of the LMG from Nightwood, was knighted as sub-commander, a title he chose himself even if the king promised him more important ones for his achivements. It was then, that Dan chose to reunite the LMG in the Reunion Hall for its merging with the new Army he leaded. He tried to notify all previous members of the LMG and any other soldier wanting to join the new Army of Light to come. But many were already involved in their nation's army and it seemed only a few people would come. Nevertheless, Dan and Bromf were on a dangerous journey to the Hall passing through the Entrall mountains, were two years earlier, they and 10 other members of the LMG had done what was thought impossible, saying hundreds of monsters with a dozen men. They knew that the pass wouldn't be completely clear after their success, and they were right.  Bromf: "Ah, Revenants. That shouldn't be a worry, they're very slow ad easy to hit. I thought we'd have a bigger challenge like last time." Dan: "Yes, but I think I see some mogalls approaching. We should better hurry and get this over with. I'm the one with the keys to the Hall, and if members are already there, they'd leave if we make them wait much longer." Bromf: "As I said, I don't think this will be much of a problem." Dan: "We should have brougth better blades, but these ones might suffice while we get to Entrall." |

If we move through the forests until we reach the abandoned fort nearby, we might avoid reinforcements. And Bromf, there's something I wanted to ask you earlier, why did you pick sub-commander of the Army for your title? You refused other titles like General or Coronel. You're practically royalty, but you chose a "humble" position that is almost like a commoner. |

When you are at the top you have a lot more to loose, that goes for the king as well. Besides I do not serve him, I am here for my own reasons and besides you could not beat all these monsters alone. When all is over I may go back home to the forest and see if I am needed there again, I was their champion but they have a force enough to keep themselves safe, and they do not spare many men for your kings army, but if he sets his eye on my home my sword will ever find him. |

There is always a misconception for the Army of Light's motives. Even though it is now under the control of the Lantel goverment, its purpose remains that of international protection from monsters. I admit it should get more participation from other nations, and I believe we shouldn't be treated as mercenaries, because the Army is continental. The king's men think of us like that and I think that's what's keeping many from joining. I don't know how many will join us at the Hall, but I don't expect more than 5. |

Five it better than none though, and as long as they can fight and hold a line if we need them to then it should fine. You know as well as I do a handful of men can take a hoard of monsters. But I joined because the forest needs someone to keep an eye in the world affairs, and since I was not able to help much back at home, I volentieried to do the duty. Though I think occationally this is not what she would have wanted me to do, but I can not forget the moment I found her and how the green of the leaves turned red with her blood. |

I think she would be proud of you and thankful for what you're doing to protect innocent citizens. The Army's numbers won't grow to the point it was once before, but it will at least have those men and women who are tired of fighting wars without meaning and are dedicated to protect the ones they care for and their neighbors. A small group of good Samaritans fighting for a reason is more powerful than an army of million fighting for greed. |
