Dalainah, Kaivai, Avion and one of the new recruits try to make their way through the enemy lines looking for the swordsman that captured Althea. They are almost at the back entrance when all of a sudden, a beam of light comes flashing down the hallway and hits the wall, making some of the bricks break off. Dalainah: *yells at the swordsman and bishop* Cowards, come and face us! Swordsman: *appears from the hallway, tightly griping Althea with sword at her neck* Who says we’re hiding? *now talking in a more cynical tone* You should make way if you don’t want to die painfully. Dalainah: The only ones dying will be you two. Swordsman: This isn’t the right time for us to battle. I would gain nothing from killing you, and you have no chance of winning. Avion: Oh, yeah?! *takes the sword out of his scabbard* Why don’t we settle this in a duel? … Swordsman: *laughs* You believe you can last more than five seconds in a duel against me? You barely know how to handle a sword properly. Kaivai: I’ll fight you. Swordsman: You must be Kaivai, the twenty-year old ashamed Citileford ex-pirate axefighter who rarely says a word. Kaivai: How do…? Swordsman: This will be an interesting battle. My blade still has some blood stains of the last twenty-year old it pierced through. Dalainah: *runs towards the swordsman in an immediate attack of rage* YOU B… AAHHH! *sent out a scream of pain when she was knocked back to the wall by a blast from the bishop* Althea: Dalainah! Avion goes to help Dalainah, while Kaivai attacks the bishop, trying to chop him to pieces, but unable to even touch the swift man. Swordsman: I’ll make you a deal, Dalainah. Why don’t you trade places with Althea? That way you can visit your beloved leader’s grave. Althea: Nooo! *goes to tears* Dalainah: *lifts herself with the help from Avion and the recruit* HOW ABOUT I JUST SMASH YOU INTO… AAAAHHHHH! *an arrow from a hidden archer hits Dalainah in her left knee, making her fall immediately* The bishop wastes no time and casts a big flash of light, forcing everyone to close their eyes. When they open them again, the bishop and the swordsman, holding Dalainah in his arms, are running away. Four wyvern riders descend from the sky and throw spears at the castle’s back entrance to stop Kaivai from coming closer. Two of them land allowing the bishop and the swordsman mount the wyverns and successfully escape. ------------------------------------------------------- The soldiers still fighting inside the throne room and the hallway have no idea that the mysterious swordsman has escaped, even least expecting that he has left with Dalainah and not Althea. The four who have just seen the surprise getaway head back, with defeated looks on their faces, to the throne room, where Bromf and the others are rounding up the enemies left. Bromf: notices Althea crying and walking towards him “Althea, you’re all right. What happened?” Althea: “He took Dalainah.” And then Althea explained |

Galahad slumped against a wall, thankful that it was over. He was hurt and exhausted. He wanted to sleep for ages. Or at least be properly healed. He was grateful beyond expression that Lianna helped him when she did. He would have been dead otherwise. But he was still damaged internally. "So, we are now without a flyer, and without our leader and heavily battered. What now?" he said through exhausted breaths. |

Uriel groaned as he dissipated the magical ward that had protected them. He felt drained of his power and leant against a wall breathing heavily, he had no more strength to fight. He saw the other's come back with their face gaunt and dark. Hearing what they had to say, Uriel resigned to examining the fresh burns he received during the battle. |

Nathaniel almost didn't believe it. He was minus a cloack, covered in sweat and suspected he was burnt in some places but he was alive. He quickly found a sniper and grabbed some arrows before thrusting them in his quiver. "Wow, I could do with a rest." He said, sitting cross leged on the floor. |

Sai heard a loud scream. He ran to the main corridor and walked to the throne room. He saw Althea there, but Dalainah wasn't there anymore. "What happened...?" Said said in a tone that made him confused. "I was going to pick up a few things at the chest rooms... But, I heard a scream and rushed here right a way. Anyone want to update me in what has been happening? And this cloak of mine... It will need a replacement with these burnt marks on it." |

Althea: I just slipped on something; that's why I screamed. Besides that... *and she filled in Sai on what happened, crying at the point where the swordsman mentioned something about Dan's grave and blaiming herself for Dalainah being captured in her place* |

Bromf - Althea, are you sure that they mentioned Dan in particular? And if they did say "Dan" then how can we be sure it was our Dan? Egidus - *Slumps down into the middle of the hall with a horrible heavey crunch and grinding of metal on metal* I think I need some oil, or a good women, maybe several or both. Bromf - We will have to press on either way now, finding our missing members and Galahad's mission are our priorities still. We will stay here a while, but do not go wandering too far we do not want to draw attention to ourselves. *Bromf then did a head count to make sure no one else had got lost in all the commotion and was happy to see everyone else was still more or less where they should be. Sighing he then looked to his own condition, which was not terrible but he had had better mornings. What he was most annoyed by was that his cloak which he had used for years since he left Nightwood was nearly finished thanks to some elfire, arrows as well as hand to hand damage.* *"Problem is", he thought to himself, "this is not a place where I can just get a new one and disapear again without a trace". After a heavey sigh he guessed there was nothing he could reallly do about it for now, and set about looking for anyone with minor wounds that could be bandaged up.* |

Lianna was feeling quite drained, and her outfit itself had numerous rips and burns in her dress and cloak. Grumbling to herself she sat down and closed her eyes. |
