a little late with a review on this i know, but i just got it on dvd and have to say wow, this film is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish.

the film could easily get lost on a lot of people since the "main" characters have very little to do with the overall ending of the movie, if you expect a great showdown you'll be dissapointed but the clue to the story is in the name of the movie.

javier bardem rightly won the oscar for best supporting actor, but josh brolin and tommy lee jones put in great turns. bardem is down right creepy in every scene and has an almost classic horror movie villian quality to him, the menacing, unrelentless pursuit to get what he wants

i really cant recommend this movie highly enough

As a long-term fan of both the Coens and the actress Kelly Macdonald I was looking forward to this. And yeah it's was pretty darn excellent. But I found it's structure and the lack of a showdown and definite resolution frustrating.
I can't wait for the film version of Cormac McCarthy's The Road though. An absolutely stunning book I just couldn't put down.
