Ok, a little premature with that, but just got 2 tickets to go see Bob Dylan in May. Now having heard the truly awful MTV unplugged album from years ago I'm not sure what to expect from him live.

However the man is a musical genius and I've missed him a few times, not sure if it was worth the risk having that genius tainted, but I thought, even if he's awful I can't go through life having not saw (imo) the greatest songwriter ever, and even a rubbish version of Just Like A Woman would still be better than most people could ever hope for

As i said its not until May, so don't expect a review anytime soon....lol

Didn't know he was touring again. I missed him last time he came to Glasgow so might look into getting tickets. If they're not too expensive. Tom Waits charged around 100 quid when he did Edinburgh earlier this year. Utterly crazy.

Now if only Springsteen would play Scotland...

£40 is still a little steep. Especially as I'm the one that would have to fork out on two tickets just so I could take someone else with me :

As much as I've grown to love Tom Waits over the past few years, I would never shell out £100 to see him. It's was a ridiculous price. And a complete fleecing of his hardcore fans. In fact, I don't think I'd shell out £100 to see any artist. Although, I did nearly fly to Belfast last year to see Spingsteen as his Sessions Band tour completely bypassed Scotland (despite the fact some of the songs are Scottish in origin!). But then that had the added attraction of a weekend away for my girlfriend and me... (and I think she's grown to like him a little. The Rising is a "good album" apparently :D )
