ok bar a more organised and somewhat routine night to game, what would be the things that got you back playing online? or is it only me that has stopped???? i remember back on the days of the original brick playing burnout and co-op splinter cell and can honestly say that its still the highlight of my online gaming. from having the fastest yellow car to whispering at spiff since the guards heard you talk nothing has come close. i don't know if its just because im not all that competitive, but im just not a fan of vs options online, well apart from burnout since that was just hilarious and was down to blind luck and the aforementioned fast yellow car. so i think better co-op games would be the vital thing to getting me back into online game |

ive been wanting folks back online for months for online gaming! would love to go back to the days of signing onto xbox live at night and seeing a bunch of folks tearing it up online and just joining in. what we need is something other than an FPS to play online. im well up for going nuts on burnout or something similar or even splintercell, games you can pick up for a couple of quid now. if anyone has any suggestions and actually wants to start playing online shout up! if xbox dies a death i can see myself signing my soul away to some MMORPG the likes of warcraft. |

I've already lost my soul to a MMORPG, age of conan to be exact. Burnout paradise would be my suggestion for an online game. You have the various races as per usual & there are the challenges. These are basically a set of co-op objectives for you to do, depending on how many players you have online. Add that there is now a load of DLC thats all free (& more on the way). Should be able to pick it up fairly cheap pre-owned. GOW 2 has co-op like the first, but it also has a new mode for upto 5 people where you have to hold off waves of locust. Lost planet colonies & shadowrun are good choices if you want any PC gaming members to be able to join in (they both support cross platform gaming). I really need to get back into xbox gaming, so shout up & I'll join in if I have the game (or if you let me know in advance I can rent/borrow from work) & if you do sign up for a MMORPG go for age of conan or warhammer online, which is out friday & I have saturday off to play it yay |

I miss online gaming. I really do. I loved it. But for a long time it felt like I was the only one on Xbox Live regularly and wanting to co-op. Now I have no broadband connection (I don't even have dial-up!) and a gubbed Xbox. So unless someone wants to buy my parent's old house so I can finally buy my own flat and afford Broadband then I won't be online in any capacity anytime soon  And when I do get back on I may be swayed by the dark side and buy a PS3. The constant problems with Xbox is really getting on my tits. |

i totally agree, and think you should invest in a PS3. Of course, i'd be willing to take that ole X box 360 plus R6V2 off your hands if you needed me to! I know how much of a hassle it would be to have that lying around! |

warhammer online looks well awesome, so tempted but my laptop and PC wouldnt run anything new out. maybe when i get a new pc i might dabble with mmorpg titles. until then its live for me! imsigned up with lovefilm so if anybody wants to play anything specific let me know and i can rent it out. |

At this stage I'd have to say don't bother with warhammer online. I'm having major issues with it & moving back to AOC full time (so is the rest of my AOC guild by the looks of it) & tonight for the first time in ages I'm in the mood for some XBL Pwnage & live is down for maintenance, bloody typical & if anyone is looking at either buying a new PC or doing anysort of PC upgrading, I'm always happy to help (hell get the PC & parts to me & I'll do it all for you) Edited by SpectralRaziel, Sep 29 2008, 08:41 PM.
