Okay GTA IV was finally released today. Woohoo!! Unfortunately for me I can't afford to buy this game for a couple of weeks. Bah!! I Have been looking forward to playing this for ages, and having read the reviews I think it sounds great. If anyone buys this it would be great to hear what you think of it. I loved San Andreas, and as far as I know the game maps will be just a little smaller than the ones used in that game. From what i'm hearing already this game will be amazing...well for lovers of the GTA series anyway. |

Yeah apparently the map is smaller than San Andreas but a lot denser with more detail. And there's a larger number of buildings you can go inside this time. The things I'll miss are the fixed wing aircraft (you can still fly 'copters though) and the tanks. But from the early reviews there's so much more in the game to make up for their absence. Looking forward to the multiplayer cops and robbers option. The thing that puts me off is the main character. I see enough dodgy Eastern European types in the street at lunchtime without having to control one on my TV screen! However, even though the PS3 version is supposed to be the better game with smoother graphics and less load times I think I'll be getting it on the 360... |

As far as I hear so far, its pretty awesome. I could be tempted to just go and buy the bugger, lol. After the missions are completed I like to go and explore the city so hopefully there'll be lots to do and see. |

if it makes you feel better i'm not playing it. i've pretty much hated the rest of the series and even all the 10/10 reviews dont make me want to play this in the slightest |

This game is superb!!! It has the same elements of the others - i'm personally relieved to see they kept in the secret package hunt, and stunt jumps - but they have added a lot of nice new features too. You're now equiped with a mobile phone (yes I know San Andreas had one, but you could only receive calls on that!) the smooth transaction between entering and leaving buildings is superb - no more load screen in between! And best of all, Dalek still insists on by passing the actual game play and instead will spend the next week trying to find a helicopter on the forbidden second island, which is off limits as he's not completed a single mission. (he's not happy that i got over there, picked up a SWAT van and proceed to drive around for ages before the bloomin van blew up )If you are in any doubt about buying this game - please go and pick up a copy! It will be the best money spent this year. I'm only sorry I have neither a PS3 nor XBox, so am unable to play - Dalek, I might be moving in!!! |

well after saying im not interested, i bought this today, after getting lucky with wii fit, thought i'd have a look for this too and got it in the first shop i looked in. so while im not expecting it to blow me away it should still manage to kill a few hours and stop me from watching rubbish on tv |

Well I've been playing this as much as possible and yes, as Hindsy says I haven't been doing the missions. I did take the girlfriend on a date to a restaurant and... BORING!!! Why do that when you can start police chases and enter codes to get a police helicopter!?! As for getting to the other islands - there's a boat at the docks that you can use to get across. And there's a path under the middle bridge that leads straight across to the middle island and the police can't touch you. Until you get to the other side that is... So far I've managed to kill the girlfriend by starting a police chase when she was in the car. The car exploded and she's not answering calls from beyond the grave... I then got Roman involved in a police chase and drove into the sea where he drowned like dog. He's not answering calls from the bottom of the ocean... Although nothing was as funny as when I tried to punch spiff off a skyscraper in multiplayer, missed and went hurtling off the edge to my doom...
