Creator Eric Kripke originally only planned 5 seasons, but given its success and the fact that viewing figures are increasing, there's a good chance he'll continue with it. This is from an interview with If magazine "Because I have low self esteem, I never thought we’d make it to 100 episodes,” Kripke says. “I had a five-year plan and I thought we’d do a comic to wrap it up [laughing]. But the ratings are getting better and better but I still have to do a five year plan and want to finish this chapter" Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are also signed up for 6 seasons. Looking good folks. Not sure when season 5 will be shown in the UK, the US date is the 10th of September, but its looking like it'll be shown on Living and Virgin 1. Just hope there's not too much of a delay for those of us one step up from council telly and that they put more effort into promoting it than the asshats at ITV did. There's also a 5 minute clip from the first episode of season 5 kicking around you tube. It was filmed at Comic Con so its not the greatest quality, but if you've seen the season 4 finale and are desperate for a fix then its worth a look. And while we're on the subject of Supernatural, just like to put forward Jensen Ackles as a possible hunk of the month, any month, every month! Edited by Bella Beretta, Aug 3 2009, 05:19 PM.
