Only region that has an official release date at the moment is Japan. tbh I think you will be lucky if this comes out over hear this year. They are aparently having issues getting it to fit on a single disk, even though the current gen of Blu-Rays are 50Gb. There have been murmourings that they may have to wait till the gen 3 disks come out as they are 100Gb. Its all the audio thats causinga problem. Everything (& I do mean everything) is recorded in true dolby. When you think of all the dialog alone in a MGS solid game thats a hell of a lot of space needed (True dolby isn't compressed at all so I've been told). They also need to cut back on the install size. Its running at 12Gb at the moment which is a bit high. Especially when you think that over half of the european PS3's only have a 40GB hard drive. Thats over 1/4 of your hard drive on 1 Game & that doesn't include the game saves |
![]() Can also be found on various PC games, such as Borderlands, Left 4 Dead & Age of Conan | |

I thought the same when I played one. I can't remember which one though! Started off great and then it turned into a boring movie. I've seen the gameplay demo for MGS4 though and it looks absolutely amazing. It's taken them so long to get this made it has to rock, doesn't it?

well i saw this on the psn store, tried to download it which took about 5 hours Soooo bloody slow.Next night (friday) installed it only to find out that it needed another patch before being allowed to try the beta multiplayer. hence another 5+ hours... to top it all of you have to register on Konami to be able to play it... but like hell their website times out all the time and is a general bugger. so after all the downloading, patching i have a bloody huge (in MB) short preview movie.
