i'm actually scared to look at the screens incase i get a bonk on haha. really cant wait for this. although i need to buy the wii component cables since it looks awful on a hdtv without them |

Release dates for this title as follows: JP - April 10th EU - April 11th AU - April 24th US - April 27th The US get a release AFTER us? I hope you're sitting comfortably hobbes

fuckers....whats the point in 24 hour shops if they wont put out games at midnight for all us crazy people to go down and buy it? i tried two shops one being the biggest tesco in scotland or something, i thought well its 1am and im awake i'll head down (should have phoned first but we all know that wouldn't happen haha) so down i go and nothing not even any brain dead staff walking around i can ask if they are selling it. couldn't be arsed trying to find someone and then explaining what i was looking for in a way monosyllabically enough for them to understand (thanks brodie  ). so guess i'll just have to wait til a normal time, but god if i don't get it, there will be a lot of killing going on lol

Well I'm not in jail, meaning i managed to get this game on Friday. I've been playing it all weekend so will give it a quick review Its great fun, it still comes down to luck more than skill an awful lot and can be very frustrating, especially if you've won 3 of the 4 races only to be hit by a blue shell and knocked of the track right at the end and lose everything (its already happened more than once to me), so i can see it being a problem if you play alone a lot. Of course though Mario Kart has always been about the multi-player and me and Mrs Spiff (haha) had a huge laugh playing it on Friday, to the point Spiff might be able to talk her into getting one. So that's a pretty high endorsement right there. I've only had a few races online and it was very smooth and i didn't notice any cheating as you do with a lot of online games, i even managed a 3rd place finish in my first race although i fell away after that. Sadly there is still no chat option, but with a game like this its probably a good idea since the amount of swearing while playing could burn the ears off someone not used to such colourful language  , although it would be good to trash talk your friendsThe main talking point of the game though is the steering wheel, which while unbelievably fun isn't quite as sharp as the wiimote/nunchuck option. The good point is though if you're playing online the fact that you are using the wheel is shown beside your name, so knowing you've beaten people using it is a great sense of achievement. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i cant seem to win any races iv almost got to the point of using the weel as a frisby out my window i suck at driving games even fun ones |
