Not much to update you on regarding the site and forums but for you people interested in such things here goes... We now show up on Google! Not right at the top but close. Right after matches for the US Army, the British Army and er, the Salvation Army. Jebus bless 'em. Work is still progressing on the site and forums in between rounds on Rainbow Six. I've added a favicon to the forum - so instead of the dull old Internet Explorer symbol next to the site name in your favourites and tabs you'll see a little "Z" picture. I bet you think Christmas just came early! It's not on the main site yet as it's hosted by trolls. The theme of the forum is closer to the main site. But HTML is a cruel bitch so it'll still be some time before we can draw a line under the site design. But a big thanks to those who visit everyday and post. We know who you are. We're watching you secretly like a caring guardian angel, or scary uncle that sneaks into your room and clips your hair when you're asleep. We also got our first member that wasn't LRUK or a friend! But he was about fifteen so Spiff had to unfortunately dispell him into The Phantom Zone. Due to game and film certification, the possible content of our discussions and the fact we might say "bum" now again, we've set the membership age to 21. Will have to make that a bit clearer on the site before any more pubescents with possible ASBOs join. We're also planning an AOZ meetup this summer. We're just sounding you out just now so get your thoughts up in the AOZ Meetup thread... Remember people, brains are best served cold. |

Hi all. Not many updates recently. I've been taking driving lessons/banging guitar/playing Rainbow 6 on both the 360 and PS3 so not had much time to do the required kick in the ass the site and forum needs. However, some users are telling me they're having trouble accessing/posting on the forums. If you're having bother please let me know by emailing me at dalekmofo@fsmail.net or message me on Xbox Live if possible with the details and I'll try and get to the root of the problem... In the meantime I've reset some user profiles and the forum template in case that's causing the bother. |

If you're a regular visitor to the main site and forum I should start with an apology as it's all been a bit schizo here recently. Like Britney Spears gone rogue on a drink, drugs and hairclippers bender. You've probably noticed at least 3 different layouts and designs over the past week for the main site. And the forum was reset to the default which didn't really fit any design and looked a bit "meh". The reasons for the main site going cuckoo was the fact I tried to upload what should have been a nice new and simple design template. The host is Blogger and its used not only for simple blogs but a number of great websites so I thought it'd be a great tool. And it is. But (unfortunately or fortunately depending on your point of view) they keep upgrading which knocks preset templates into next week and destroys all your carefully laid out links when you try to install a sexy new one. Not to mention the majority of these free templates are coded in Spanish. Which I don't speak much of apart from "si", "que?" and "Meester Fawlty!" So I started my own. And it's taking forever. It's not quite finished but you won't see the major overhauls and half complete designs that have been recently thrown at you like semi-dressed Trinny and Susannah victims. As for the forum - well members were having trouble actually getting on it so I reset the template in case that was causing the bother. As with Blogger, there are many free alternative templates to use for the forum. But they tend to be designed with mainly garish and clashing colours like the designer has seen Yellow Submarine on a loop for four days and gone a bit chicken oriental. So none of them were suitable to use immediately. But at least it gave me time to do my own in the main pages colour schemes. Again it's not quite finished but it will be soon. Promise! So hopefully soon I'll be able to stop farting around, update the site content, enjoy the forums and actually play some games or something... The site has also been doing quite well for visitors. We've had people from the US, Canada, Australia and er, Finland! So keep those reviews coming. You've probably noticed some of them get turned into articles... We've also got some new members. Welcome aboard people. Hope to play you soon... Finally, Hindsy has been great at updating us on groovy online PC games to play so we put her in charge of that section. Please refer to her as Staff and bow when appropriate in her presence. |
