Got mine too!!! I'm totally over the moon! Total fucking nightmare trying to get them online AND by telephone at 9am today but I got there in the end. I want to know where my seats are though as I just went for "best available" after being stuck on the phone for 45 minutes...

I wasn't asked for an email address on the phone so I won't get a confirmation. But i've got a reference number so I'm going or there'll be trouble I was determined to get a ticket no matter what. I've been a fan since I was kid when I first heard Born In The USA during a Vietnam documentary lol. But my adolation didn't really take off until a few years ago and I've been dying to see him in concert ever since. You only have to watch the Live In Barcelona DVD to recognise what an astounding live performer the man is. Even his recent Superbowl show, despite being short, was well worth staying up for. For a man of 58 he can still rock his fucking ass off. I was lucky enough to visit Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village recently where he first started out. Sadly he didn't turn up for an impromptu show. I wanted Standing tickets. But my girlfriend is a little on the short side and it wouldn't have been fair. She wouldn't have been able to see much and I'm damned if I was going to put her on my shoulders for four hours Any favourite tracks or albums hobbes? I've been listening to the Lucky Town album pretty much constantly the last few weeks. Along with Working On A Dream of course... |

to be honest i only have his greatest hits album , but i've watched a lot of him on youtube. saw him do the mtv unplugged gig once and was blown away by how good he was. think after hearing this version of thunder road i'd not only have this as my favourite springsteen song, i think it would sit highly in a list of my all time favourite songs will need to get on play or amazon and pick up a few of his albums though so im not standing about totally clueless....lol |

On Unplugged he plugged in after one song lol Get along to Fopp or HMV as most of his earlier albums are going for £5 just now. You can even pick up some nifty Japanese imports of most of them in Fopp. But if you're feeling the pinch after forking out for the gig ticket, I'll burn some CDs and get them to you through spiff ... |

Well like Brucie himself said in the sleevenotes to the "The Essential..." album, "One man's coffee is another man's tea. One man's whiskey..." It's all a matter of preference as every album is slightly different depending on what mood he was in at the time. Actually The Essential... album is probably a good jumping off point and gives a better overall scope of his career than the Greatest Hits album which personally I don't rate very highly. Yeah it's got an instant fix but the productions values on it are a bit shonky. Personally, I like the Tunnel Of Love, Lucky Town, Devils And Dust, Darkness On The Edge of Town, The Rising and Magic albums. Alternatively try and get the Live in Barcelona DVD as it's excellent. I've seen in going for £7 in a lot of places. |
